Hi, I am overwhelmed by the different type/brands/price of car seats. Alot of questions and hope the you can share your experiences here and make this thread for sharing and discussion. My questions: 1) Your new born baby after delivery, from hospital to home, did you use car seats? Or did you hand carrry? Which is better? Which is safer? Are car seats suitable for newborns? 2) Did you use car seats from new born already? Or u start using car seats only after 1,2,3 months old? 3) Do you get dedicated infant seat (those type with handle for carrying for 0-9months), then upgrade to child seat when they older, or did you buy those convertible ones that can from 0-4years old? What are the pros and cons? 4) Which brand/model/price you got and is it good or bad? Your reviews please. Thanks.

Hi all, Is there any way to improve the holding of driver in the existing normal car seats without going for bucket seats? Any after-market inserts or tied-down cushions? What I saw selling in Autobacs are more for therapeutic back/hip support. Thanks for any advice!

Can someone tell me the difference between FD1 (1.8L) and FD2 (2.0L) and FD3 (Civic Hybrid) Seats ? I observed that the seat stitching design and headrest design for the FD2 is the same as FD3, and different compared to the FD1. But I was surprised to day when someone told me that FD2 seat has additional side airbags which the FD1 seat does not have. Does the FD3 seat also have side airbags ? What other differences are there amongst the seats of the 3 models ? Lastly, I am progressing through my FD1 conversion to FD2 (big regrets not buying FD2 in the first place). Can I get either a FD2 leather seat or FD3 leather seat to install ? Any advice appreciated. Thanks.

Hi all, I am a new Avante owner. During the point of purchase, I decided to go with fabric seats as I thought the leather seats of the test drive vehicle felt stiff and uncomfortable. The fabric one was much softer and had lots of cushion so I thought it was an unnecessary waste of money to change. Now I'm thinking of changing to leather seats some time soon. I realized the fabric seats tend to absorb my sweat in the hot weather, inevitably, which I found quite disgusting. I can imagine how the seats will smell after a long period of time. Overall, I feel quite comfortable with fabric seats unless the weather is hot. Having said that, I have two questions: 1. Those car owners with fabric seats: how do you maintain your seats such that they won't smell and get dirty? Is there a chemical to spray and clean the seats? Do you put a cushion/seat pad (like taxi drivers) on the seats such that the seats be dirtied? If so, where can you get them? 2. Should I change to leather seats now or in the future? If I were to change now, what is the market price of a full set of leather seats? Anyone got good lobangs to recommend? Thanks in advance for your input!

There are three options given Child restraints Or Booster seats cushions Or Adjustable seat belts. According to the police age is no longer the criteria, height is. I assume a child restraints are those mini seats with full back rest type. And booster seats cushions are just the backside bottom seat. Two questions. So I want to know what is adjustable seat belts? Can a sofa square cushion considered as booster seats cushion? Or must buy some approved booster seats?

I am looking for lowered seats for my car as I find the stock seats too high up. Anyone knows where I could find aftermarket seats? I am not particular about brand but would want it to be as light as possible. Comfort not important.

Hi All SS owners, I plan to change my SSS front seats to the stock 1.3/1.5 stock leather seats. I realised that the SRS check light will on since I will be taking out the SSS seats and the 1.3/1.5 seat does not come with SRS. i. is there anyway to remove the check light ? (some mod socket / by pass resistor ?) ii. Will this dis-engage all other SRS airbags? CM said will not but said there is always a risk. many many thanks.

I took bus no. 8 home from work on a Thursday evening as I did not drive to work. Upon boarding the bus, I realized that it was a brand new bus as the interior layout of the seat was different from the usual bus no. 8 that I took in the past. First impression was positive, that is until I took up a seat. I sat down on a window seat and realized that something was blocking my feet. I looked down and saw this grey box, which is part of the bus interior fixture. I guess it could house some electronic components. I had to shift my bottom sideways so that I could place both of my feet on the ground. If not, my left foot would have to be placed on top of the box, which is really uncomfortable. It doesn
