  1. Just got word that VAG Singapore (private workshop) has opened a specialized Audi and Volkswagen service and tuning workshop in the Toh Guan area. Their website is www.vagsg.

  3. A few days back I had a registered article being sent to me via singpost. So i called in on the friday evening at roughly 4pm and was told item was out for delivery with courier should arrive anytime before 6. So i sent a family member to wait at the door in case the courier arrived with the door open. Waited and waited but courier never came. I later checked the letterbox downstairs and found the registered article slip. This meant the lazy courier didnt even bother coming up and just chose to throw the slip into the letterbox. Standard practice to prove that they did come up to deliver at your door is by slipping under your door step. Not in your letterbox. I understand that this has occured to many and not myself and there are many complaints made but no action has been taken by singpost. In the end i had to go down to the post office the next day which was already overwhelmed with people and orders. Poor counter aunty had to do so much more work because of a lazy courier. Imagine this multiplied by so many cases.
  4. So I had a busy morning and went for a late luch at a cafe nearby. They had set lunches on offer. Western set was Spaghetti with white sauce, Asian set was Teochew porridge with braised duck and a weird Fushion set I can't recall. After some deliberation, I chose the spaghetti. After waiting 10 mins, the waitress came over an plonked a bowl of Yong Tau Hoo on my table. When I pointed out my order was wrong, she explained the spaghetti sauce was ruined by cross contamination so on their own initiative, the bought a bowl of yong tau hoo from the kopitiam next door to replace it. I was gobsmacked and furious. I asked the waitress why I can't choose from the menu again if my first choice cannot be fufiled and she said I don't understand. This cafe and the kopitiam next door are owned by the same boss. What's more, both dishes have noodles That explanation was so ridiculous I am demanding to see the boss. I am posting this topic as I wait. WTF
  5. hi bro/sis, any ideas where can i send my luggage for repair (3rd party)? i lost my key so unable to lock it. thanks in advance
  6. Recently saw many new bmw 7 series breakdown and require towing service. It is unlikely that it will breakdown but wonder why it always happens?? due to burst tire, failed engine, dead battery, failure in mechanism/electronic of the car or any other reason? Anyone can share the point?
  7. Sent my jaguar for first servicing, Told the service consultant it was jerking at low speed. A fellow jaguar owner experienced the same thing but he said his mechanic in England told him it could be rectified with tuning, he owns the same model in England. However the service consultant said Jaguar Singapore has no similar computer software. I suppose he expects us to live with the shortcoming of the car at low speed. I was puzzled: if it is available in UK how could it not be available to Jaguar Singapore!!! I emailed Wearnes to suggest that they bring in the software for the benefit of their customers in Singapore. Guess what, the consultant called to say he would update my car software but he is not sure if it would rectify the issue of jerkiness at low speed. He also explained that the software update has nothing to do with tuning as tuning involves taking apart the car engine and Jaguar Singapore would not do it. I still don't comprehend the service consultant's explanation. But I left it at that as the car is now more pleasant to drive at low speed. There is a further surprise. The consultant charged me for the software update!!! I wrote to Wearnes the next day that I should not be charged for the update, anyway it should be covered under the warranty. The service consultant called to say he had wrongly charged me and would refund me the money. The service consultant nearly drove me nut. It is suppose to be a routine servicing but so much time had been wasted in making clarification. What do you make of such a service consultant?
  8. i still have functional old nokia & sony ericsson phones leh. meaning these phones will not work from apr 2017?
  9. A fren who just bought an Opel not long ago was told by her Salesman that if she doesn't send her car to Opel for servicing, her warranty will be void. Is that such a cond?
  10. Under the TWM warranty scheme they are suppose to honor any warranty service right? I went there to day to get my steering wheel straighten cos my ride is only a month old and the steering wheel is not center. I had check all my tyre pressure ok. Not change any rim using stock rim. Not hit any kerb or anything. So I proceed to their service workshop they tell me they only do servicing not warranty repair. But I insist that according to the agreement on my warranty booklet they are under the panel of approve workshop should any issue with the car. Then they says can do but very troublesome cos they need to fax to the PI before any work is carried out and I need to park my car there for them to process the claim. Until my PI fax them back the comfirmation then they will start to work. They also direct me to Khang as they says Khang have a "closer relationship" with PIs so they can do first then claim later. Really piss off with them. Anyone of you here experience this kind of lousy services at Comfort Delgro? I will never patronise them again. Not even servicing will I let them do.
  11. Just wanna share my experience with this air con company called Perfection Airconditioning & Engineering Pte Ltd. I have been using their service for quite some time and all along was all good. Not long ago I called the boss, named Low, to do chemical wash for my house air con, but he sent his staffs to do, in the end there was some minor problem, i didn't complaint to Low at all, I just asked him to come and resolve the problem as I thought he knows better. He came and checked my air con with his partner ( i think it's his partner as he always come with that guy, but i don't know his name). when Low was checking my air con, I heard the other guy spoke in chinese and made something like a complaint about a customer..I didn't know exactly what happened also and I don't like to busy body so I just ignored but I saw the attitude of the partner and I think it's not really nice. After checking my air con, Low told me, it's leaking but need to check where the leaking was, since it's already almost dusk, he top up the gas for me for free and told me to monitor it, if air con has problem again, just call him. I just follow what he said as I trust him. Few weeks later, my air con not cold, I called Low but kinda difficult to reach him. When finally reached him, I told him about the air con and he told me he was busy and must see his schedule 1st. I understand him so I just follow what he said. Then he asked his staff to come down to my place to check. The staff also told me that there's a leaking in the pipe, but need a lot of time to check. Better ask with his boss for the solution, they top up the gas again for free. I told them I will pay as I feel bad for them but they said no need. Fine..few days later, I called Low and asked him to resolve my air con problem. Also very difficult to reach him. when I managed to talk to him, he told me he need to check and arrange time to come down and will let me know. I again, just follow what he said as I trust him. Then recently I called him to ask him to come down to my office to check my air con as it has been leaking for quite some time, and also to follow up regarding my house aircon. He told me he needed to arrange his time 1st, see if he got come near my place or not, then he will drop by to check. Although it doesn't sound very nice to me, I still listen to him. I mean, I'm willing to pay for his service, not asking for free. Yesterday, I called him few times and text him, no reply or return call at all. I already felt very disappointed, and this morning I still try to call him and he (Low) didn't pick up and return my call, I fed up and text him. I didn't curse him, just tell him how disappointed I am with him. May be he thinks this is a small money so he put it later, I don't know. I have recommended him to so many people even in other forum. I don't know if got people use his service or not but I, as an old customer, felt extremely disappointed. We have known for so long, my office air cons were installed by them and I never bargained at all with his price. I never make any single complaint at all about his service. Soon after i texted him, he read it, and left no reply. I just texted him saying thanks for all your helps. For those who happens to find or recommended to this company, just take note. They may look nice and friendly, but don't judge the book by its cover.

  13. Been holding this issue for quite sometime.... I bought a trends portable aircon last may from carrefour.... Going towards the end of warranty, the aircon start to have problem.... The problem is that every nite, the aircon will shutdown itself due to water retention full... I need to drain the water before it can start working. So i called the customer service and they 'fixed a date' for them to come and 'service'. They need like 10 days for them to come. But on the 'servicing' day, i was not at home, so i called the technician not to come and i will called cso to arrange another day. She said that, u have cancelled the date and the next available date is 10-14 days later. I said its ok, i want the service. Meanwhile, every nite need to drain the water... When the day came, the 'technician' came and take look and said that they need to bring back to office to check... I was like "what the hack" u just come here to bring back my aircon and u need 10-14 days to do that? I kept my cool.... Then he continue, this one, need to pay cos it is servicing and servicing is not covered in warranty.... And i look at him and i told him that every 2-4weeks i wash the filter and if water full, i will drain it. Why need servicing? And the sales advise me to do the above... He told me that, aircon need to send for service 2x a yr... And again i was like what!!!!!? But still i agree and ask him how long will this take? He said 8 days... And then he went off... Cut story short... On the 8 th day, i called and ask about my aircon, the f**king cso so rude answer me like a beng, and he said that my aircon need to queue and told me that once ready will give me a call. I shouted at him and ask him to talk nicely to me... He was taken a back and apologised.. I told him, i will call again next week..... I called them again and they said that my aircon have been repaired/service and is on trial run.... Again i ask, how long will this take... He said that once done, he will call me again.... 3 days later i called and they gave a date which is 7 days later for them to send the aircon. I still accept it. When they send the aircon, i was very happy cos i've been sleeping and pespiring at the same time for the past 3 weeks plus. So i decide to on the air con and enjoy it... Few hours later, my room was flooded.... I am very angry.... I tot of going to the press So i

  15. wow!!! SINGAPORE: Civil servants will get a year-end Annual Variable Component (AVC) of 1.1 months, with lower-wage officers getting an AVC of at least $1,600. Some 1,300 civil servants earning less than $1,460 will benefit from the minimum AVC payment of $1,600. For example, an officer earning a monthly salary of $1,200 will get a year-end AVC of $1,600. This is $280 more than the $1,320 he would be getting at 1.1 months of his monthly salary. All civil servants will also get the Non-Pensionable Annual Allowance (NPAA) of one month, to be paid in December along with the AVC. The Public Service Division announced this on Thursday. Its statement said: "The Singapore economy grew by 5.8% on a year-on-year basis and 1.3% on a seasonally adjusted quarter-on-quarter annualised basis in the third quarter of 2013. "Based on the Ministry of Trade and Industry's forecast, Singapore's GDP growth is expected to be 3.5% to 4% for 2013, supported by the slight pickup in the global economy and resilient domestically-oriented sectors like construction and business services. "Against this economic backdrop, civil servants will get a year-end Annual Variable Component (AVC) of 1.1 months, with lower-wage officers getting an AVC of at least $1,600. This signals the Government's continued commitment to help lower-wage workers." - CNA/ir last yr if i rem it was 0.7? consperm... http://www.mycarforum.com/topic/2684419-civil-servants-to-get-year-end-bonus-of-07-month/
  16. I have found this, anyone has the idea; Personal experience base on 1 of my family car from parallel importers. Many PI & Used Car Reseller have warranty service under this "Optima Workz". I stop going back to this work after 9mths and void the warranty all together after my brand new car was under recall list - suppose to be recall for replacement. Nothing was done after check up(no recall replacement of parts), stating it is okay - WTF. Went to PI and PI push back to workshop, after 3 mths of argument and ban table . I give up and end of the day, I ask my japan colleague to order a brand new part(base on recall stated new part number) and hand carry back from japan since I travel up there a few times a year for business. My 2 cents base on so called PI Waranty is just bull shit.
