Hi everyone, Since Radx started on the Black Friday sales topic, it spurred me to start this thread. Some time back, as I was listening to Kiss 92 program, there was a topic about buying reasonably cheap clothings online but I didn't catch the site name. So, how about everyone contribute here what's good site out there to buy? For me, so far I've bought Gnc stuff from US site. Price is really cheaper than shops here. Could be 50% cheaper.

Anyone knows any good and affordable retail shop designer? Those that can draw out draft for free will be good also. Actually i do not mind getting final yr design students to come design the shop as their project as well. how to find them?

Shops that sell and display items like souvenirs and glasswares usually has a notice saying you are liable to buy items that you break. I recall reading an article somewhere that says that such notices are not legally binding. I think it is becasue you did not agreed to it and hence there is no contract agreement or something like that. If you break a display item in a shop in Singapore, you are only liable to pay for the cost of replacing that item. I think this means the item cost price for the retailer and is usually lower than the retail price. Even then, it must be proven to be your own negligence and not the shops's (e.g. the item was placed hazardously and can easily dop). Can anyone verify if this is true? Lets share your experiences. I have 2. When I was 17 and ignorant, I accidentally dropped and broke a clock in a small souvenir shop. The clock was not hung securely and my mere initial contact caused it to drop. The shop owner made me pay for the full retail price. I did not have the cash (about $20) and he even withheld my nric while i went to the atm. I ended up "buying" the damaged clock. Recently, I accidentally dropped a thermal food container at a big departmental store. The lid was not closed properly and I lifted it using the handle on the lid. It is that type that has glass interior and it shattered as it dropped on the floor, basically totalled. The surrounding staff kept saying i must pay for it, etc etc. Subsequently, a staff said it is ok, they will return to their supplier and I need not pay.

A Lobang to share, Currently M1 Shop are selling those Retail price Iphone 5 without Contract. Those who want to get a phone can purchase from them. The bad things is, u will need to get up very early as there is alway Auntie, uncle, student and FT queening for it. What i know that there are selling at 960, 1110 and 1260 for 16g, 32g and 64g respectively. Only available at M1 Main shop only and not Exclusive Dealers. The profit earn will quit alot if u planning to sell it off after getting it. 16G will let u earn around $330 Per set and 32G can also get around $230 if u find those dealer in Hardwarezone which doing exporting business. Limited stock is release by M1 Shop Every day in the morning. West mall, clementi and IMM are around 20 sets per day as according to my friend information. If u r free and nothing to do, u might wanna to queen up ealier in the morning to earn a decent monies. Hope this will help...

I am planning to buy a Samsung Galaxy Tap 7.7. So far among big electronics mart, the lowest price is $598. Some are selling at $698, including singtel shop. I did find a Ah Beng phone shop selling at around $550. Is it safe to get from them? Will it be a re-con set? Or any bros here have lobang for cheaper price to share.

I looking to buy Michelin Pilot Sports 3 185/55/15 Hup Heng Ang sell RM260 (~S$105) Hawk Tyrar sell RM280 (~S$115) *not sure if got hidden charge like balancing and fitting. Anyone have first hand experience with this 2 shop mentioned? Or have suggestion for me to go other shop you deemed better?

Does anyone knows any spray paint shop in the west (jurong) or north which opens till late (around 8pm)? No need high profile or super cheap pricing, as long as can get a decent paint job done quickly is good enough. Is the market average still about $200 to get a bumper repair and respray?

Hi All I am looking for rims and wondering if bros out there can recommend any one-stop-shop or your favourite shop? Looking for shop which carries wide range of designs and brands from Japanese like Wedsport/Advan and also non Japanese like OZ. And of course good price and service. I ve been to a few shops and seems like nowadays hard to find japanese rims. One shop told me Jap Yen now very high they can't afford to hold stock so buyers have to indent in advance. Even Stamford main showroom at Lok Yang also quite a few models they tell me no stock or last piece. Appreciate any info given.

Would you buy an engagement ring from a pawn shop? (and would you tell you fiancee?) Please explain / justify your answer. Just asking out of curiosity. If the ring is in a pawnshop then it is one of four situations a) Divorce (eww - how much bad luck is that for you?) b) Theft (hmm - you might have to give it back) c) Death - (You wanna wear a dead persons ring?) d) Bad luck / bankruptcy etc etc (that can't bring you flowers and sunshine for your own marriage right?) I went to this famous, or infamous (depends on ur encounter with them) shop at paya ubi for a tyre change 2 weeks ago. got the tyres for a good price and since they hv alignment machine tot i might as well ask them to do it. car came back wif the guy testing it and he juz passed the alignment slip to me w/o mentioning anything. i nv ask coz i presume everything is in order. now, couple of things happened after this. 1) a/c was adjusted to 'LO'. i hv nv set my a/c this low b4 and he did it for me. fyi, when my a/c is in 'LO' mode, it will be working at full blast to bring the temp down. 2) i rem i was on my fav cd when my b4 my car was being worked on. when i took over, went over to fm.. waa, nowadays these workers really treat the car like their own. really know how to make themselves comfy. fast forward. i realized that my car is leaning towards the left as soon as i let go of my steering. so 1st thing i can think of is i got a half fark alignment job done. so i went back and highlighted this prob. below is the conversation: me: boss, the alignment fark up lei. leaning towards the left. he: ur car model is known for this prob la. its like dat one. some more ur car lowered. sure will lean to the left. b4 this my car is going pretty str. so i buay song liao. me: then my car is like dat one u still do the alignment for wat? he: i already told her (lady boss) to tell u already ma. (ya right, if i knew it will be like dat he think i stupid enough to spend $75 on this sh!t job) then he offered 'kindly': if u dun believe i do again for u lo. but i can tell u still like dat one la. (wif a buay song fark face) best, he told me this: if u dun believe, u go to kenny there lo. i gave him a stare and told him i will be back once the lady boss is around. wa knn if not for the sake of knowing the lady boss, i wld kick his nuts there and then. so ppl who is going there, look for the lady boss instead.

Never forget this tyre shop... :angry: My car had a punctured tyre 2 weeks ago when i was driving along Balestier road. I know of this tyre shop that operates till wee hours, and since i was nearby so i drove my car slowly to this shop. Walked into the shop, saw 3 men smoking and drinking, i asked them politely if they can help to mend the punctured tyre. One of the guys, think is the boss, replied that they were already off-duty, and their air-pump also ran out or air!! I was totally shocked and appalled!! What a ridiculous reasons!! This shop is well-known for open till late hours, and it was only 12.45am when this happened. Didn't understand why they reject their customers this way, maybe business too good so didn't give a damn about mending a punctured tyre. Believe in karma, one day who knows these guys might need help too...

Went to pump petrol and pump up my car tyres. Noticed that the rear car tyre valve is leaking air when I touches it. So late already but wondering if theres a 24hrs shop in Singapore? I am staying around YCK
