  1. Dr Georgia Lee married to Dr Pierre Christian Ipyan who at 1.6m is 15 cm shorter than her, personality is more important to her....hope for you short guys! Hurrah!
  2. A female client had asked dating agency Lunch Actually to match her with a possible candidate. The agency found a match who fitted her list of requirements. But after the first date, the woman opted not to go on another date with the man whom she was matched with. The deal breaker? The man was shorter than her. Lunch Actually's annual Regional Dating Survey indicated that out of 640 Singaporean respondents, 70 per cent of the women surveyed said they will not date a shorter man. This is despite the fact that the Singaporean men surveyed said they are happy to date a taller woman. The survey also found that Singaporean women also prefer to date a man who is better educated and have higher salaries as compared to them. While such results may appear to show that Singaporean women are demanding, Lunch Actually CEO Violet Lim explained the reason for her female clients' requirements. She said: "I think it is understandable that women have high requirements when it comes to dating because as women are getting more educated and doing better for themselves when it comes to their career, they feel that they have achieved a certain comfort level in their life, and they are not willing to compromise on their quality of living." The survey of about 1,900 people across markets in Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia also revealed that online dating was becoming a popular method for singles to find their match. Ms Lim said that tech savvy Singaporeans have not been put off by the bad press of online scammers using dating websites to con unsuspecting victims. She added that Lunch Actually's online services eSynchrony.com and Eteract.com run stringent checks on their members using information from the Registry of Marriages and Immigration & Checkpoints Authority of Singapore to verify their identities, and blacklist suspected scammers. She said that 75 per cent of her clients who went on dates Love Actually arranged for them through eSynchrony.com were satisfied with their first dates.

  6. My longest time spent on the same job was 7yrs++, learned the most during the time. Shortest is less than 2 months (2 such jobs/situations).... realised within the 1st week of work I shouldnt be wasting time with the job. Another 2-month stint was planned as a stepping stone to the next job. Next job's boss knew previous job's boss well wont take staff from him. I had to use the stepping-stone method to overcome this.

  13. Just applied leave for this coming Friday to make this weekend a long weekend. As it was a last minute decision, haven't quite decided what to do yet. Planning to go somewhere not too far as hope to arrive back in Singapore by Saturday night or Sunday early morning. PS: May set off on Thursday night, right straight from work. Any suggestions? Many thanks.
  14. Hi, I am a relatively new driver looking for car rentals to enhance my driving experiences as well as going out with friends. Any good recommendations? I'm currently 19 and still holding a p-plate
  15. Recently I was thinking of changing the gear shift knob, because the factory fitted one is ugly and a bit longish for my liking. This morning I was just testing out how to remove the existing gear knob, I found that by turning anti-clockwise I can totally remove it. But what's even more surprising is that the factory fitting knob isn't turned all the way down, it can turn clockwise and down somemore. So I just kept turning it down a couple more rounds until it can't turn anymore, and end up with a rather short gear shift lever. Of course it still can't beat a real good short shifter as a short shifter throw is much shorter (that's why it's called that). But I guess that will do for now, and I'll be shopping for a nicer gear knob for a while.
  16. For those planning a short trip up north, can try this NEW place: Bukit Gambang Resort City
  17. Hi all, Have not stayed in these 2 places before, though I've made a day trip to Kukup years ago. For Kukup, I would not have the comofrt of seeing the car within sight, though my GSM anti-theft system would alert me for intrusion. I once left my car at the jetty for 2 days when I visited the Pulau Jerejak Resort in Penang. Ok, now seafood wise, which is better? Regards,

  19. Hi holiday gurus, my wife-to-be and I are looking for a short trip to somewhere relaxing after our wedding end of this year. Due to work, we can only afford to spend 5 days to go away. Planning to go somewhere in Asia for a short holiday. Honeymoon will be in May 2010. Few years back I came upon this website about resorts with price & booking etc. Any gurus got any idea which website was that? Thanks in Advance.
  20. Please view this film. It is quite a gem. How a boy discovers girls. The uncensored version is here: Only a breast shot which makes this NC16. The public swimming pool/bath makes me imagine my old matured mind is in a preteen body and wanting to go inside to see everything unopposed and totally accepted!
  21. As you all know that District 9 was actually born from a short by Neill titled Alive in Joburg. Here is another Scifi short. It is very romantic. I like how it is shot. The sun shining on the clothes and that rather warm future. I hope someone takes this short and make a full length feature. Shot with a Panasonic DVX100 cam corder with a 35mm adaptor. NC16 Enjoy. It is HD so don't be afraid to go full screen. http://www.vimeo.com/3163904 You can download the PAL DVD version (LEGAL!) from here: http://www.mysimilo.com
  22. OK I feel like riling some feathers. For those who don't know, LGBT stands for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgendered. A term to cover mountain cover sea. I was just browsing over in Youtube and encountered these two very artsy LGBT short films. First this one is a coming-of-age one. Depends on how you interpret it. I love to hear your interpretations if you click on it. Only a man's backside is shown. No sexual acts. It is very short film. It is called Zucht which is "sigh" in Dutch. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x9QwIWsZmjw Next is this one called The Closet. Rather sad but also can be uplifting. Watch in HQ if you can.
