  1. Hi there, Just curious, I wonder if you guys are interested to have a car model showroom (Race Queen) here? Regards.

    Should I buy?

Hi, I am new although I have been reading here quite regularly. My friend is offering to sell me her 5/1995 Mitsubishi Lancer 1.6 auto for 45k. Is this a good deal? Let's say I borrow 25k from the bank, how much would I have to pay? I am 30 but this is my first car, so the insurance will be quite high? So should I buy it?
  3. Guys, bear in mind this is a Mitsubishi auto gearbox when voting! Better to be safe than sorry?
  4. Hi all, A general question: How often should I service my Nissan Sunny/CAR? I have been told that cars should be serviced every 10,000km or 6 months. Is this figure correct? Has anyone out there stretched this figure to save some money and hassle?? Regards, Andrew
  5. Got a Nissan Prairie the tyres need to change Current : 185 X 65 X 15 Thought of upgrading to 16inch , 17inch or remain at 15inch using either 195 x 65 X 15 or 205 X 60 x 15 I prefer a comfort ride as its a MPV . Pls. feedback for me to decide ???? Thnx a million .
  6. I am thinking of getting a 2.0 litre car but cannot decide between a Camry,Mazda 6 or Accord. Anyone can advice ?
  7. Hi guys, i stumbled upon this great forum and i would like to ask a few question which i think u guys would be able to help me with. i'm thinking of buy a secondhand car and my budget for downpayment would be ard 5-6k and i would be able to fork out about +-$650 monthly for the loan payment. The car would be use mainly for work purposes, so it would clock quite alot of mileage. i'm thinking of getting a 3-4 years old 1.3L car. What would u guys suggest? And can i know how much is the road tax and insurance(rough estimate) for a 1.3L car? Thanks for any help in advance.
  8. I am looking for a Korea made Manual. Not sure whether should I get a Hundai Accent1.5 or KIA Spectra 1.6 Which one will you choose to buy if you were me and why ?
  9. Hi, i was thinking of getting those metallic looking sheer covers for my new ride. I'm thinking it might protect the car from the glaring sunlight and bird poo and rain which also leaves water marks on the car after the rain. Any recommendations for a relatively good one and the place to buy?
  10. I've checked the owner's manual but they only have the guides for stock tyres. I'm using 175/65 14" tyres on a 1.0L Suzuki Swift. The petrol station attendants usually pump 220kpa (about 32psi) for me but when I looked at the tyres, they seems a little under-inflated to me. I hope to reduce fuel consumption a little as my car is heavily utilised (average 70-80km a day). Should I up it to 230kpa? Any idea what is the recommended pressure?
  11. The Asstrek Turbo R comes with either 17-inch Enkie Bortex or Oz Crono Evo... both weight about 7.8kg and 7.9kg respectively when i checked them using a weighing machine ........ prices are about $320-350 per pcs..... (both cast alloy only) i was at Stamford Tyres this morning: if i pay about $600+-, i think i should be able to get forged light wt rims eg about 6kg per rim..... an upgrade of about $1000 extra for 4 rims..... question is: is it worth the extra $$$$ to go for the light wt rims???... ie in real performance terms, what would i gain??.... more responsive steering?? .... marginally better acceleration time??..... i also figure that, if i dun go for the latest rim designs (ie accepting say designs which are abit dated), i still can have light wt rims but save $$$$ as they usually are on special offer...... i am looking for benefits in performance, looks are not that important as long as it's decent....... what do you think???..... thanks
  12. Guys and gals, Need your advice. Facts: 11 more month to scrap my car. I like to blast my system. Using 12 AWG cable to Power amp Using 30amp Fuse. ************************************************* Question: I want to re-do the cable for my ICE. Given the fact that it is not powerful/strong enough to supply power to my amps. When I full blast my system. There is a power cut in one of the amp.... which makes me . Your vote is important as it will help me decide whether should I proceed to re-do my cables or not.. Poll will close on 18 October 2002.
