  1. I have quite a few friends and aquaintences who are teachers. And everytime we meet and chat, it is always about how busy they are, how early they go to work, how tough to handle parents/students, how much extra activities they must undertake...etc etc you met teachers who are like that? And they seem proud that they are doing what they do. No offence, but teachers aren't exactly a "up" occupation or profession
  2. Hi, Some pictures to share from this past weekend Apologies if I didn't catch some debut that you're interested in. http://imgur.com/a/OKFyR
  3. Seems fun and challenging...wonder if locals will have similar reality shows? I know there are many good skill drivers out there hiding somewhere... First episode is a chio XMM (though married with a 3mth old baby liao )...but her skills think even most professional drivers can't do that...maneuvering on 2 wheels for more than 2 minutes... btw anyone know whats the brand of the car? 4. http://ent.163.com/15/0617/19/ASB7715V00031H2L.html Is this for real? As in the degree of change... Don't know what to say? Do you mind if your other half underwent such extent of change (if real)?

  7. Hi, Please show how your Driver Information System looks like for your car incl. what kind of info is available for FC. I'll start off with mine. Car: Audi A3 sedan 1.4T (MY '15) Since: about 2 months ago. Single trip (non-peak traffic): 21.9km/L at avg speed of 65km/h over distance of ~35km. Long Term (since I got the car): 17.8km/L at avg speed of 36km/h over distance of ~5700km. Accuracy: ECU overestimate about 0.3 to 0.5km/L compared to manual pump calculation. Overall this car exceeded my most optimistic expectation on fuel economy esp. for a petrol engine. My previous 1.6L Jap car got me around 12-13km/L on the same driving pattern. I can never imagine a car can go over 1000 km per 50L tank under normal driving conditions. And I even turned off the irritating start-stop system which supposed can save more fuel.
  8. Anyone want to go? http://www.todayonline.com/entertainment/celebrity/russell-peters-returns-singapore
  9. anyone have volunteered for this Air show events before? They are looking for part time drivers during the Air show 2014 from 9-14 Feb. question is, what kind of training they are offering and i suspect driving 7er or S80?
  10. So its another year of gadget galore from CES. Lots of exciting tech this year... and a lot of it involving cars as well. Off the top of my head; Toyota announces that it will offer its about 6000 patents on fuel cell technology and stations for free use by any manufacturer. This is to drive the adoption of the technology. Very similar to what Tesla did for its Li-ion battery and Supercharger station tech. Audi had its experiemental A7 remote drive car all the way from Cali to Las Vegas. Pretty cool that a car can handle the highway by itself without any driver input Merc showed off a a crazy futuristic saloon car that's larger than the S-class. Looks straight out of the future with its Lancia like looks and those doors without a B-pillar nVidia showed off its new Tegra chip and a sample UI for cars. Damn nice. Though their maps demo failed a bit I'm pretty excited about the stuff Sony has shown. Damn fine looking 4K TVs and those smooth lights which have integrated speakers in them Oh... and Olloclips 4-1 lens kit for iPhone 6/6+. The 10x and 15x macro lenses look awesome. The fish eye and wide lense not so much. 100 bucks on the Apple Store.... tempted to buy
  11. early early morning had a scare... fuel needle rapidly going down and i thought tank leak. reach petrol kiosk and top up full until see petrol floating in tank, on engine still show almost zero.... bad start to morning.... any bros experience this before? is repair very urgent as can barely afford any downtime this week.... wat could be the cause and damage? driving a 4yr old forte.... thanks!
  12. Anyone watching this show on Saturday night or have watched it before online? I watched it online 2 years ago and try to watch it again every Saturday night. I used to only like 三国 but this version of 水浒very nice. The fighting scenes, the character imagines are nice and scenery also beautiful. I think next Saturday is last episode liao.
  13. The angry wife claimed that she has contributed her youth in the marriage and now getting old but husband still looks younger than her, she deserves this brand new car from husband. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kTfAG4yqHiA

  15. So here I am in NYC. And the NY International Auto Show is 15 mins away! What do you think is a must see/must do?
  16. Japan is one of the few countries in the world with TV channels spending a big cut of their broadcasting budget on a wide range of variety shows, providing tons of entertainment even way after midnight. The magic ends for Cinderella when the clock strikes 12, but that is when the magic starts on Japanese TV, with broadcasting companies forsaking their wholesome image and dishing out entertainment for mature audiences, often featuring topics and themes bordering on risqué and pushing the limits of censorship laws. Sexy girls prancing around in skimpy outfits is the least you can expect! Note: Pictures after the jump are most definitely not safe for work, and should definitely be kept out of sight of children! This image has been resized.Click to view original image For starters, the title of the program, Idol no Ana (literally, An Idol’s Hole), is enough to trigger off the WTF sensors in some of us. Though that may sound like the title of some dubious adult video, the program is part of the annual Nittelegenic project run by the Nippon Television Network Corporation to select image girls for the company. That said, it doesn’t make the show any less raunchy than its title suggests. In its fifth run, the program featured gravure idols in a survival pageant that lasted from July through September this year. Instead of just standing around looking cute, the girls were put through several… um, creative tests, and out of the 99 contestants, these six ladies outshone the rest to be crowned as image girls of the year. 20. When buying ciggies and alcohol. http://www.straitstimes.com/breaking-news/singapore/story/look-younger-40-show-ic-buy-alcohol-cigarettes-20131130 THOSE who look younger than 40 will now have to produce their identification cards to prove that they are aged 18 or older before they are allowed to buy cigarettes or alcohol at 7-Eleven outlets. Counter staff will then record their birth dates in the computer system. Anyone found to be under 18 will not be allowed to buy the items. The trial, which began last week, is part of plans by Dairy Farm Singapore, which owns more than 530 7-Eleven stores, to stop underage youngsters from obtaining cigarettes and alcohol. 7-Eleven outlets in petrol stations are not included in the trial. Previously, 7-Eleven staff asked only those who looked under 18 to produce ID to verify their age.
  21. Surprised no one posted anything abt it yet. Anyway, my FR is that many ppl seem to leave the show empty handed.....including me. End of FR.
  22. Watch the video till the end ..... from Yahoo: Illusionist rips woman apart, spreads chaos This is probably something you don't expect to see in a park on a sunny day. Popular street magician Criss Angel demonstrated one of his most impressive but pretty gruesome illusions at the Sunset Park in Las Vegas on a group of unsuspecting park-goers. Like all magicians, the 45-year-old started his illusion by asking for volunteers; in this case, a pair of lovebirds. As curious bystanders gather around to see what magic tricks Criss has up his sleeves, that was when it happened. He tore the couple apart - literally! The park soon turned into something like a horror film set; the bystanders were screaming their lungs out, people were on the verge of collapsing and the woman, who just got pulled apart, was crawling away in search of the rest of her body. Criss then picked up the upper bodies of the man and the woman, and switched them around. http://sg.entertainment.yahoo.com/news/illusionist-rips-woman-apart--spreads-chaos-032551595.html

    When things turn ugly

The new F12berlinetta is provocative. The sensual styling will likely appeal and tempt those who are into wheeled art. Not to mention by bearing the highly praised badge on its bonnet, it must be good. Then, things could have been very different. Mansory, a luxury car modification firm based in Brand, Germany, showcased its take on the F12 at the recent Frankfurt Motor Show. Called the 'La Revoluzione', the GT has now been cloaked in maroon carbon fibre, which looks highly exotic, but less pleasing to our eyes. We reckon the firm could have been more creative with the moniker too (likely to have been inspired by Ferrari's halo car - LaFerrari). It seems to be a case of 'too many cooks spoil the soup'. In our humble opinion, the people at Maranello did a good job with the F12. But Mansory - not so. Other than the unique carbon fibre body, we thought the fixed wing broke the svelte, graceful silhouette of the stock car. From the front, it seems that Mansory has eradicated the clever active cooling duct for the brakes. Gone too are the aero bridges behind the front wheel arches. The fixed wing looks fine from this angle, though, and if there's one thing Mansory did right to the aesthetics, we reckon it would be the exhaust tips. The German tuner has upped figures from the 6.3-litre V12 to above 1,200bhp, which enables the La Revoluzione to complete the century sprint in 2.9 seconds - down from 3.1 in the stock car. Before we end this post, we thought we should remind you of how gorgeous the original car was.
