  6. Saw a new Nissan Skyline 25GT yesterday. Too bad, no camera, cannot take picture ... Quite a disappointment, no longer does it have the old Skyline muscular look, in fact, it look much shorter now
  7. http://www.sgcarmart.com/news/2006/437.php The exterior design of the all-new Skyline expresses

  9. Woo hoo... it may be out of my budget, but the new Skyline GTR is confirmed!!! All pics and wordings taken from http://www.prestigemotorsport.com.au/modul....php?storyid=21 This is mostly in relation to australia. Wonder if it will be sold in sg. Looks identical to the prototype except for the front which seems like an evolution of the 3 previous GTR's
  10. Just thot to start a post on the variations of the R34... which up till today remains a hot favourite amongst everyone for the Skyline... Feel free to post your pictures here too... These are of course not my cars... but I'm dreaming and drooling over them...
  11. Just a quick wash but car looked pretty good after S&G and the owner wanted to take a few pics. Thought I'd post them up. Current LSP is Blue Natty's which is about 2 months old now. Was applied during winter so it's past the better part of its life. Only people who do this car are me, and the owner (in my presence) so it's in pretty good shape. Next 4-6 weeks I will be doing P085RD then test a new Soft99 product. On to pics...

Was raining the whole day from beginning to the end of the detail. Also was in a rush, entire detail was done in about 2.5 hours including interior (vacuum, Megs QID, 303). Process: - Wash (in the rain) - 6 bucket method: 2 for suds, 4 for rinsing off all the dirt and grime (what a nightmare) - Clay (in the rain) - after this the paint started beading, but it was probably due to the QD I used with the clay - Roll into the garage - 1ZPP on 1/4 of hood - Did a decent job on the swirls but smell was too overpowering in the garage - SSR2.5 - Smells a lot better - Blue PwC - 1st use, wasn't too impressed with the product. Was difficult to remove for some reason. I'll give it another try soon. Pics: What shine? Bird bombs and oxidised headlights. Mould? You should be ashamed. Hadn't been washed for a YEAR. Wheels before, during (A2Z) and after with NXT insane shine. SSR2.5 and Blue PwC = No swirls. Still some deeper scratches all over. Poorboys Trim Restorer on trim. SSR2.5 and Carlack 68 on headlights cleared them up. Afterwards, the owner drove home in the rain. Didn't bother putting a decent wax, save that for better weather.
  13. Thought I'd try out the Polylack samples I got earlier this week. Process: Wash Clay (this car was a nightmare, took 1 hour to clay) Wash #2 SFX-2 w/ LC white pad SFX-3 w/ LC white pad Wash #3 Polylack Systamatic w/ Megs Polishing pad Polylack Longlife Acrylic Wax by hand Wheels got EO A2Z then Carlack 68 Tires got EO A2Z then EO Tyre Shine Wheel wells got Stoner Trim Shine Interior and Exterior trim got 303 If you wanna see before shots, check out my gallery. Here's the afters: Moved into the garage as it was getting dark: Most of the products which were used:

  16. Just saw the new skyline while walking home... didn't know it's here already at first tot was a Lexus from the side, then went past to the back and saw that it says Nissan Skyline... looks very different from the current skyline.. more bulk... more like a luxury sedan now
  17. Six months ago, Nissan launched the 11th generation of its Skyline model in sedan form and it was quite a change from the previous generation in both design and engineering. Most likely signed off by Mr Ghosn after he moved in to head Nissan, the new Skyline generation
  18. An interesting article about the legendary Skyline Full article available at http://www.autotrade.com.my/emzine/review/...d=RT.ATC.CAR.FS ======= The Skyline is a respected model in Japan because it has quite a long history. The first generation was built in 1955 by the Prince Motor Company. At that time, Prince Motor was an independent automaker, having evolved from the Tama Electric Car Company which had been formed by the Tachikawa Aircraft Company. Prince Motor was merged with Nissan in 1966 when the Japanese government urged the larger car manufacturers to take on the smaller ones in order to make the motor industry stronger and more competitive. However, given the fame of Prince Motor and its Skyline, the company still has a
  19. Quote:- "Nissan Skyline GT-8 Nissan is on the move! The company that's aiming to be the world's most technologically advanced car builder is set to stun drivers with its first eight-speed gearbox. Fitted to the all-new Skyline 350 GT-8, the system debuted in Japan recently. Powered by the same 280bhp 3.5-litre V6 as the upcoming 350Z coupe, the 350 GT-8 will be the new flagship in Nissan's BMW 3-Series-rivalling Skyline range. Its gearbox is a development of the revolutionary six-speed CVT on the new Primera. While the Primera's CVT is incredibly smooth, the GT-8 takes the experience further, adding two gears, narrowing the ratios substantially and speeding up the car's throttle response. It takes only 0.2 seconds to switch between ratios, so gear selection happens as fast as you can click your fingers. The CVT is also perfectly matched to the V6, giving the 350 GT-8 loads of low to mid-range torque and superb acceleration across the power band, as well as an exhaust note that sounds more V8 than V6. Put simply, it's a driving enthusiast's delight. As the miles pile on, you can't help wondering if eight gears are necessary, but Nissan has high hopes for the new system nevertheless - including secret plans to fit it to the new 350Z. It is also being assessed for compatibility with the next GT-R, seen as a concept at last year's Tokyo Motor Show. This 4WD supercar is said to be scheduled for production in early 2004. An eight-speed box may be over-the-top (wah lau!!) for day-to-day use but, when fitted to a proper sports car, it would add a dimension of appeal and control not currently offered. There's no doubt the Nissan 350 GT-8 is a fine driver's car. Its eight-speed CVT demonstrates the firm's hi-tech expertise and offers an exciting taste of things to come.
