hi, anyone of u encountered petrol smell in ur car? i've mine recently, after stationed for few hrs or after overnight i can smell it when i open the door. i pump petrol as usual (no overflow) and hit nothing. need all bros here advise. thanks

Asking for my buddy. He was washing his car about an hour after he came home. As he was washing his front left rims, he rinse it down and there was steam coming out. He move his hand nearer and felt that heat was emitting from the brakes. He was puzzled that he didn't do any hard braking and it'a already an hour since he reached home. He also mentioned that for his car was vibrating a little like it's going over speed bumps for about a minute when he was on his way home. The vibrations disappeared after a while so he didn't think much about it. Anyone has similiar experiences? What's the possible cause?

Like to check check with brothers here whether you encounter any air-con icing smell during raining seasons. The smell emits from the air-con when the thermostat did not cut out the compressor in time when it reaches the lowest cooling point? It does not happen very frequently and is this normal?

Hi, Topped up my tank full(autostop) last night and I could smell petrol near the tank compartment after filling up. There was no spillage at that time. Thought it was unusual. Decided to park overnight to see how. This morning, as I approached the rear of my car, I could still smell petrol. Opened up the external cover and found the cap to be tightly closed. I did not see any leak from car bottom as well. Could anyone shed some light into this? Where else can the smell be from? is there a vapor vent somewhere??? Thanks

need help.. i just done my servicing yesterday. the only thing done was change engine oil and top up coolant water. today when i start my engine there's this funny sound that does not go away, its a high pitch mmm... sound.. then when i accelerate and change gears it follows.. as in if you had sat TIBs buses.. that wad it sounds like. then when i get out of the car.. the engine bay reeks of burnt rubber/plastic smell but i cant seem to pinpoint where is it coming from. any one has an idea what happened? or any good place for a diagnostic check tomorrow?

Guys, Recently I have some foul sourish smell from the air-con, the smell used to be quite frequently then drive back to agent, they did some flushing and the smell went off for a while. Recently, the smell comes back and now it happens occasionally. Anyone got any solution and I heard by hanging the dehumidifier like thirsty hippo type will help to reduce the moisture in the air-con system so that the mould and fungi will not grow in the air-con, is that true? Anyone care to advise?

Just now I was in school (Bishan) and started to smell something like gas at around 5 pm.. At first I thought someone was cooking the smelly peas (those that people cook with balacan).. But when I reached home (ang mo kio) I could even smell it.. So does anyone have a similar experience? Did a gas leak happen?

Hi all, how do i get rid of a stale interior smell tat seems to linger in my car? thought of either changing the Aircon system (around 1k), steam cleaning the fabric seats, or maybe even changing the seats to leather ones. Is there any company in sg that cleans/freshens up the interior of the car? Appreciate all inputs

Why i ask is because, it was the 1st time i went to a nightspot after the smoking ban.... and the smell of the vomit and toilet really sucks. I heard from frens, discos are much worse. So just curious, which u find is most endurable... if u go pubbing/clubbing at least 1 a week.

My dad's G9 corolla has got a very strong foul smell in the cabin. It is not as of those dead animals foul smell, but probably some kinda of smell from dried up moist carpet.. but there's no leaking. Now the question.. how to get rid of the smell? As in is there some steam cleaning of carpets, or any other ways? If yes, any recommendation which places does dat, and what's the cost like? Thanks in advance for any advice..

Hi a friend of mine has his car flooded by heavy downpour in an open carpark. The carpet was filled with water. Fortunately that is about it, no further damage to the critical parts of the car. However, after clearing all the water and drying, the underlying layer of insulation material is still wet tho the top carpet seems dry. As a result the car will have a stale smell without verntilation and after the windows are closed for awhile. Using anti-odour spray is useless. Using humidifier is also not effective. Tried blowing and steaming in gromming center, helps a little but still cannot dry. anybody faced the same predicament and has found the best solution?

Hi does anybody know how to get rid of the 'New Car Smell'? My car is about 1 yr old and it still smells of VOC. In fact smells like 'crayon'. After coming out of the car, my whole body smells of 'crayon' After a long drive, my wife and I gets bad headache/migrane/nausea Opening windows does help much either. My car keep emit burning smell, if I'm not wrong its from the exhaust pipe. The smell very strong, when i alight to take something from my car boot with the engine on, i go back to my car i can smell my car inside also got that smell. Last time dun have such smell, today use have. Anyone got such experience? What is the problem? My car about half month old with 8000 km, haven't service yet as Honda KM only service car at 10,000km.
