  1. Hi Guys, I'm doing a cheque payment for my all CCs as AXS doesn't accept more than $2000 per day (from what i understand from Customer Service). However, i'm not sure the payable name to be written on the cheque for the following banks: HSBC payable to? UOB (UOB Card Center?) DBS payable to? Citibank payable to? CIMB (CIMB Bank Berhad?) TIA!
  2. Need to sing for some "event". what song from the 80s would be good for about 6-7 men singers
  3. Some drivers and passengers still persist in not wearing seat belts, despite the very real possibility that they could be flung out of the vehicle should an accident occur. For some, personal comfort overrides the safety factor, while others are simply too used to not buckling up despite numerous safety campaigns over the years. The issue of belting up came into focus after a Singaporean woman and her son were killed on Saturday after being flung out of their car in a crash on the North-South Expressway in Malaysia. They were on their way back from Malacca. Belting-up is compulsory for both the driver and the car's passengers in both the front and rear seats in Singapore and Malaysia. 4. Bus lanes are useful only if they are fully utilised and move more passengers on the buses to their destinations faster in a jam. However, i notice there are bus lanes which remain empty during peak hours when the adjacent lanes are jammed with cars queueing for more than 1km daily!! Example: during evening peak hour along Teloh Blangah Rd under the viaduct towards VivoCity from Alexandra Rd junction all the way to VivoCity. Most of the time the buslane is empty except for a few buses. The >1km car queue affect many drivers + their passengers while the few buses which use the empty bus lane only benefit bus passengers who are out-numbered by the drivers / car-passengers. Our road system should be utilised to benefit the larger group, in this case (ie for this stretch of the road mentioned), the drivers / car-passengers. (Not counting the passengers in the vans / lorries who are also trapped in the jam.) Have you noticed other such situation else where?
  5. I have an existing number plate, if some one wants to buy it, do i get a replacement reg number from LTA, does it costs to get the replacement number? 6. Hi all... Need expert advice... After warranty for my sunny ended. I no longer go to Tan Cheong. I now do my servicing based on my little knowledge of cars... After checking my car's service history... I think I should be in time for a coolant change. I hv heard numerous things abt coolant for the car... *trakies say just water by itself is best for track day... For normal everyday driving a little coolant is good enuf. *old mechanics say water will do... Coolant will spoil the radiator... But I believe its the mixing of different coolants that will react and cause damage. *so I believe safest to put pre-mixed coolant... But cost factor lah... And many pre-mixed coolant I find has anti-freeze... Useless in SG and lowers the efficiency of the coolant. *so I think a coolant made for the tropics without antifreeze makes more sense. *heard that improper mix ratio is bad... But why? I've heard some ppl put 100% coolant concentrate into the radiator... No problems... But that is even more expensive than pre-mixed. So I finally decided after considering for a few days... Earlier in the evening I drained out my old coolant... Only very slight green... Kept pouring a lot of water in until only clear water came out... Filled it up with only tap water (SG water is soft n safe) and turned on the engine for a few minutes... Off engine then drain again... Tis time some more slight green water came out... And I poured tap water till it got clear again... I also took out the whole reservoir and washed it... Sooooo dusty below and could see some rust sediments inside... God... Took a puff while waiting for the radiator to drip dry totally... Then I poured 500ml of Japanese made for tropics green coolant into the radiator (label says 35% mix best...) and topped up a bottle of distilled water. Then I poured a bottle of Gunk radiator additive in... Then top up till brim with distilled water. I poured another bottle of coolant into the reservior n top to max with distilled water... Drove around for 5mins... An hour later I topped up somemore distilled water into the radiator... Now just drove to pick my wife in town. Temp is lower than usual slightly... WOW!!! Maybe my old coolant was very very old... Haha... Now I don't know if i did anything wrong... anyone here has hands-on experience with coolant change? Thanks...
  7. I would like to know are there any ways to stop all the banks in spore to issue credit cards to some ppl? Why i ask this question is becoz my friend sis got a serious problem of abusive spending, she rack up over 90k of unpaid credit card bills within 2 yrs. First time is about 28k, second time 18k. End up my friend need to sell his house (they live together, co own the flat, parent no longer around) and use his saving to paid off the bill. He cancelled all her cards. However, she nv learn the lesson and her sis apply again and this time bills was sent to her office address so that my friend can't monitor her card usage and now the bill amt to 45k. Anyway i dunno how he gg to pay off this 45k, maybe sell house again. Hence i would like to know are there any ways to stop ppl from applying credit card juz like how we can stop family members from entering into casino. Thanks!

  10. Nice video of the Toyota 86 / GT86 with compilation scenes from prototype testing, on the track, and pulling off some drifts and performance driving. Some nice homage paid to the Toyota Sports 800 and AE86 as well. Check the video I really think Toyota is making a good work promoting its new sports car...and think it will be a huge success. What about you?
  11. Read in the news and I definitely agree with it. Most, if not all, Insurance agents are scums of the lower caste of the earth. Freaking busturds. They are farking uneducated and they handle your $$$. I rather put it in a tin can and give to charity. 4 farking 'o' levels and you sell life plans? Damn, they are even lower than car salesman! I support this move and eradicate the scums totally

  17. So far the Malaysian Chinese I encounter do not seem to be handicapped by not being able to speak English and I mean those I meet in the construction industry. They are however more comfortable communicating with us in Mandarin though. Maybe the warden feels that way too? From ST Forum: http://www.straitstimes.com/STForum/Online...ory_738992.html Parking wardens should know some English Published on Nov 29, 2011 ON SUNDAY, I tried to strike up a conversation in English with a Cisco parking warden on duty at the junction of Telok Kurau Road and East Coast Road. He did not respond as he could not understand English. He then spoke in Mandarin and said he was from Malaysia. Maids are required to learn and pass English tests before employment. Shouldn't parking wardens on public duty understand basic conversational English? Ang Chin Guan

  23. an incident happen at Bedok point yesterday evening and i'm sure the driver is one of us here as i was crossing a small service road with my wife, about 2 lane wide, i saw a silver honda civic turning out about 100m away as it is in a open carpark, i've estimate there are plenty of time for me to reach the other side safely since i'm already at center of the 2 way lane. (take about 6 to 7 steps from center to reach the road pavement) know what the mother parker did? instead of maintaining his speed (he need to slow down since exiting the carpark is using cashcard) and i was crossing 4 or 5 meters away from the cashcard barrier, he pick up speed cause can here his exhaust acceleration noise. of course i maintain cool but to avoid trouble just quicken my pace and the CB jam brake and give 3 second horn since his hand is so horny, i just him wtf look, who look like early or mid 20's in an office attire and of course there is a charbor as his passenger who he might be trying to impress with his stunt so i gesture him to come out as predicted he just rev and park off i'm not a person who like to take a yaya walk on road i respect both pedestrian and drivers but this type of drivers if really kena wallop will have no pity from me
