Hi guys, anyone encountered this problem before? My car is producing some knocking and creaking sound from the car. I realised when the car is stationary and i turn the steering wheel from center to either left or right, midway towards full-lock there will be a couple of knock sounds, and disappears while continuing to full-lock. The same thing happens when going from full-lock to center position. This knocking sound comes again while turning at low speeds especially in car parks with all the humps and irregular surfaces. Any idea what is causing this problem?

After serving my car yesterday and when I started it early this morning, can hear the screeching sound of the belt. Open up the bonnet to check but do not know which one is screaming. And when I drive on.. the sound disappeared. It happen again if I rest the car for few hrs and start again. In this case what will you do ? Any advise will be appreciated................

Dear Forummers, I am driving a Mazda 3, 2006 model with a mileage of 50k. Lately during morning start, occassionally there will be a weird sound; as if the engine is choked, unlike the standard engine noise. After turning it off and restart, it'll be normal again. Can anyone enlighten me as to what the problem might be? I've went to Mazda but couldnt locate the fault as it only occurs when the engine is cold. All views is appreciated. thanks

At first is motorcycle then now car and truck also have reverse sound. The sound resembles suction or vacuum, it is a very high pitch stream of suction. Can anyone tell what is it and how it work. I doubt it has any benefit to performance. Please share, thanks

a few months ago, one of the aircon vents keep getting blocked, and the air that comes out of all vents is very dusty. after some time, the blockage went away, even though there's still alot of dust inside the system. it still occasionally gives out hot air, but the air is generally cooling enough. now, my old man's car aircon totally collapsed. All hot air and dust. And the aircon has developed a whirring sound since yesterday, which varies with engine speed but goes away with the A/C switched off. And recently when he wanted to take out the aircon filter to blow, he realised the filter is not inside since purchasing the 2nd hand car one yr ago. what have gone wrong? -
Hi all, i have noticed that my car would emit soft squeaking sound when driving off after a cold start and traveling at low speed (10 - 15km/h). I can't really describe the sound but it is like 2 pcs of metal rubbing against each other. mine is disc brake for the front and drum for the rear, had nvr changed my bake pad for 4 yrs at 58K mileage currently. I also notice my rotor has some scratches. Is it brake pad gone already? thanks in advance

many times it happened, when I wanted to horn those vehicles cutting in my lane without signal, but horn didn't work later tried again, it worked. Can anyone advise what it is the problem, and any recommand whorshop can fix it? many thanks

Hi to all Bro Does anyone know wat is the problem if my car keep on giving a squeaking noise during braking. The sound come from the front brake. I have jus changed the front brake pad recently. Does the noise come about because of rotar uneven because of new brake pads? Any bros pls advise of any solution or how u manage to resolve the problem. thank u awaiting ur solution. :)

...if you change gears firmly at higher gears as in third and above, as in quick (not sudden) clutch release, not wishy washy. Car is not jerky, transition is smooth. I will hear slight "boom" when I do that. I hope that is normal and implies that I am doing it right. Been doing it and hearing it since I am driving, but only now post to ask since that now I remember this.

Anyone ever heard a swishing sound from their glove compartment before? The sound is similar to a coin sliding across a wooden table. I will hear that whenever I make a turn. Use to hear it once in a while 2 weeks ago, but it has gotten worse 2 days ago. Also, my aircon is leaking on my passenger side. Is it normal? Pls advice... TIA!

bros, Recently my Sunny N16 auto is emitting loud metallic sound from the engine in the morning. The sound disappears after the engine warms up so it is really difficult to send to the workshop to troubleshoot. Hope to get some ideas from the folks here. Anyway, my ride has about ~140,000km on the clock. 1) When I started engine in the morning, it is fairly quiet. 2) Turn on aircon, still fairly quiet. 3) Engage gear to "D", the metallic sound started. When I wind down window and move off I can hear the sound very clearly. The "kling kling" sound is very LOUD. 4) Pop the hood and the sound seems to be coming from the middle portion of the engine, near the water pump and the alternator. After driving a few kms, the sound disappears almost totally. When I reach my trusty workshop, which is 20km away, there is totally no sound for my mech to hear. I even attempted to record the sound for my mech but somehow it didnt quite turn out well on the mp4. Any ideas from any bros here will be deeply appreciated. I had my fair share of belt slippage sounds from the engine in my previous rides so I can confirm the metallic sound is definitely not emitted by the belts. thanks

I am sitting on a Recaro sports seat with customised lowered railings. However for many days now, I have been hearing squeaky sound from it. Have tried oiling and tightening the screws. Noise came back within days. Anyone has experienced it and rectified it?

hi, would like to ask what can be done to enhance the sound quality for my car. a 1.1 hatchback. already change to sony HU, songs are all mp3 format via usb. change front speaker to component speakers with tweeter. thinking of going underseat sub but many say it's useless. used to have a 4 channel amp, spoilt after accident, find that makes no different to the sound. only amplifying it. when blast, the door will vibrates, is this norm or can be prevent? thinking of changing rear stock speaker to a 3way speaker. can't go for passive sub as rear is filled with my sport gears and i go for pick up. don't like dead weight in car.

bro, my 05 vios recently starting to have this grinding sound whenever i brake slowly, which means inching forward, however, during normal braking is it normal. my pads are on their way out, and will be replaced in 1 month time when i next perform my next service. are there any factors that contribute to this grinding sound?

i think some of you guys experience this before. You're reversing into a perpendicular parking lot (R gear) with steering wheel turned, and if u engage the D gear to move forward, and R gear again to reverse to adjust the parking, there will be this spring-like knocking sound. any idea wat's that sound and whether it's damaging the gears etc?

Hi guys just went up to boleh land to pump petrol. As i was travelling back, i could hear some knocking sound coming from inside the tank. Is it normal ? coz i pump the oil till over the F indicator.

I had some slight screeching metallic brake pad noisees, so since I thought it's quite a while since I changed brake pads, I thought I'd swap new ones in. My mechanic apparently ordered the original ones, but initially, there was some kind of dull "dub dub dub" when I apply the brakes at slow speeds. I think he then "skimmed" something, but now, there is this sandy scruffy noise... My friend said he may have used old hardened original pads (my ride is a galant). What can I do?
