i am looking to reduce road noise from my car, i hope to drive my car for another 4 years. Am looking to sound proof the floor plan, wheel arc and 4 doors, maybe double layers. I know that cheap is no good and good is no cheap, any bros here could recommend me a reasonable priced workshop where i also could get some advices? Thank you.

Hi everybody, I have this problem with my car on the right door that create a wind noise when I am driving at around 100km/hr. I understand from some people saying that by pasting sound proofing strip it will remove the sound. But I checked my car. And I feel the black strip of rubber that is suppose to insulate the car from noise still look very new. Is it going to work by pasting on top of it? Any bros here can recommend me a place to troubleshoot or do up the door insulation. I know that a company S***** is charging $40 for the door. I am comtemplating to go there to do if it really can solve my noise problem. Any commends?thanks

I'm thinking of DIYing sound proofing my car's flooring (is that what it's called?) as my CO is still complaining of road noise although I have changed my 4 tyres to Yoko 501. Hi Bro, Need your advice again. Did anyone tried the product Silent at Commonwealth? I am thinking of sound proofing my car but think Silent is too ex. Is Silent ex or it is just me? But Cleopatra Wong Yuin Ping, 30, thought the body that smashed into the windscreen was a rotten tree branch that had fallen. She did not bother to stop and continued driving her car along Holland Road. Wong was also unaware that her victim's bicycle was stuck in the undercarriage of the Lexus ES300 belonging to her father, despite the noise of the bicycle scraping against the road. The bicycle was dragged for about 2km before it was dislodged. When Wong, who was a teacher then, reached home, she went to bed. She realised something was wrong only when she woke up in the morning and found out that the police had towed away the five-year-old Lexus. Taken to court over the accident, Wong claimed that the soundproofing of the Lexus was so good that she thought the "sounds" she heard were caused by the tree branch. Last month, she was fined a total of $2,400 - $800 on each of three charges - and disqualified from driving for a year. She had pleaded guilty to inconsiderate driving, failing to stop after an accident and failing to render assistance after an accident. The court heard that Wong was driving home along Holland Road at about 5.15am on Oct 19, 2008, when she hit the rear of a bicycle ridden by Mr Muhammad Asri Aris.

hi guys, for some reason, my amplifier seems to be faulty after a recent accident and i doubt i can actually make a claim for it. was thinking of going for an active subwoofer, those type under the seat. was told to go for 10' as it is better than the 8'. would like to check if i should go for it? as i was told by a friend those active subwoofer is pathetic.. only give minimum bass sound.. might as well invest in a pair of good rear speaker.. car is small, no room for sub in rear. lastly, would like to do soundproofing for wheel fender. any good recommendation or cost to look out for? or i should actually go jb and have it done.

Hi, Recently I have black rubbery stain on my window. Thought was some bird sxxt. Later did I found out that the sound proofing material inside the door panel has fallen out thus the sticky bitumen faced the window panel. Question 1)I paid $250 for (2layer x2)from a reputable shop in Singapore in 20/12/06. And the material so call is the best in their range. Is it normal for it to drop out. 2)What is the option do I have. Take out everything and repaste again? Will it drop out again. Thanks for the advise. May go down to the shop to see what will they say since it has been 1 year plus going to 2 years.
