Hi Been there couple of times in the past....quite a long while ago actually. Pretty patient chap. Wonder if anyone knows his current charges? It used to be $70-80 for Alfa Romeo.

Due to feedback from a few MCFer, we have changed the timing from 9am to 3pm instead. It has been quite a while since the last MCF photoshoot. we have been thinking, in conjunction with our 4th b-day on 23rd dec 2005, and to meet up with all the familiar faces again, newbies or oldies, we would be holding a photo shoot. details as follow : 1) Date : 31st Dec 2005 (Sat) 2) Time : 3pm sharp 3) Venue : Marina south car park A please put your name down if u r keen to come for the photo shoot. we apologise that due to logistics constraints, we would only be waiting for at most half an hour before commencing of the shooting. so do please come on time. Should be Autodraaaaaaaaaaaaaag. Why? Read on... I would like to congratulate the organisers of this event held at the Marina South over the National Day weekend on a job "well done". First of all, we had to park elsewhere as we feared that we wouldn't find parking lots at Marina South. I parked at Shaw and took the MRT to Marina South and took the feeder bus (90cents! Daylight robbery) in. It was a good thing we didn't drive in. Marina South was blocked off by the army and only cars with special labels were allowed to drive in. I seriously wonder why the public was not informed of the road closures. All that was printed in the newspapers was that the public was "advised" not to drive in. I applaude the organisers of the entire event (was it the Singapore Armed Forces?) for their "honesty". Anyway, we were forced to alight at just the 2nd stop (like I mentioned... 90cents and still had to walk some distance... daylight robbery) and we then walked to where the Autotrial and Autodrag events were. The event was to be scheduled from the 6th Aug to 9th Aug, with the first race at 10am on the 6th. Magfocus, TKL and I went down as early as 9am to wait for the race to start... we walked around looking for a good spot to catch the cars in action. We sat beside the red and white barriers which were lined up beside the drag race "track" and waited for the race to start. It was like what? 11am already? Soon after... some safety car rolled by and stopped and the people in it told us not to stand or wait by the barriers. "Please take a seat at the grand stand over there" ... So we removed ourselves and proceeded to sit down at the grand stand. Several others followed suit. Again, I was trying to see if I could capture my friends taking part in the race on video... while fooling around with my video camera... some dude came up to us and starting mumbling several things. I can't recall if he was shouting or what, but it certainly didn't seem friendly. He mentioned something about how the grand stand was not for us and told us to go stand behind some blue barricades instead. Sheesh.... Got chased off AGAIN! Some uncle in green got totally pissed off as we made our way to the blue barricades. He scolded this dude (who claimed to be from the the police) that there were people who instructed us not to stand around and head for the stands, why is it that we're being chased off again? This uncle certainly wasn't pleased with the way that police dude asked us to leave as well and demanded to know what's with the rude yelling ... the police dude then started to make a few phone calls and then stopped the safety car that zoomed pass and threatened the people in the car to cancel the race if they continued to flout safety regulations and gave wrong info to the public. Yes. That's right. He threatened to cancel the racing licence altogether. No joke about it. I seriously wonder if he had the authority to do so. Hahaha..... Anyway, AFTER we went BEHIND the blue barricades.... some army officer chased as AWAY AGAIN claiming that we shouldn't BE there as well ... By now...everybody were abit pissed off.... it was hot, sunny....etc. and here we were being chased off everywhere , the race hadn't started, we didn't know where to watch the race...etc. We hung around for a few more hours waiting for the so called drag race to start. 3pm. I got fed up and called Tifosi and asked him what the heck was going on. Tifosi then said "hey! no race today... just some trials and preps". That's it. The 3 of us left right there and then. Our trip there was in vain. Let me just say... TKL and I went there the next 2 days (7th and 8th) to try to catch the drag race. Managed to get a drive in pass from SkodaRR ... no more walking and taking the MRT... whew!!!! NOTHING again on the 7th... we woke up early on the 7th (Sunday.. met 2 other friends at Carl's Jr. at Marina Square for breakfast before driving in to Marina South at 10am). It seems that everything on the programme sheet were bogus. The race never started and we made an early exit at 1pm. I called Tifosi later on and he confirmed nothing as the race was cancelled due to safety regulations. Seems that the red and white barriers had to be filled with water... which the organisers didn't do... grrr..... On the 8th... TKL and I made our way down at about 10am+ .... Called Tifosi as we couldn't find a place to park and learnt from them that they were pulling out of the race. Met SkodaRR, Tifosi and Dennis at the nearby coffeeshop and had a chat with them. Seems like they were pissed about the whole situation as well. (who wouldn't be? It was already the 3rd day and no races as promised). TKL and I took our breakfast and then left the place and headed down to Kah Motors at Ubi as TKL wanted to purchase some stuff. SkodaRR then called me up to tell me that the race was back on and they were not pulling out after all. (It was around 12pm already) So we made our way back to Marina South and hung around for the race to start. By the time SkodaRR, Dennis and Kenneth came out for the drag race, it was already 4pm!!! Goodness.... Took some photos and videos of it and then left the place (6pm) with some serious sore legs and sunburns ... 3 runs for each car. Best time taken. Only 1 run was made on the 8th. The finals and everything else was held on the 9th, National Day itself. SkodaRR called me up to ask if I was around to catch them in action. I was actually at Autobacs with TKL as he wanted to look at some car sound systems. He called again slightly later to tell us that he would be dragging again. But I wasn't around. After 3 days of standing around, sweating, getting sun burnt, etc. I was really drained out. Ya.. I know I missed the races after waiting so long for so many days... but really... I was angry and disappointed. Unusual? SMSA? Who was to blame? Seriously... these people should really give the public an explanation of some sort...

bros out there, if u going down to marina south today till 9th aug able to help me to see any audio products (sony or pioneer) giving any special price on their products(like to purchase the touch panel head units), unable to go down as wife is going to give birth any time so now stand-by 24hours a day, 7 days a week. many thanks in advance
