  1. Anyone knows which workshops perform high speed on car wheel balancing and the estimated cost involved? Thanks.
  2. Not sure why, suddenly there is hollow sound.. when the speed hit 110km/h, the sound gets lesser.. anyone got any idea what's wrong, and any good reliable workshop to recommend? My car COE left 1.5yrs.. I'm in dilemma should I repair it or not? I step on the gas while parked idle and didn't hear anything even RPM go up to 3,000rpm or more..
  3. Hi anyonem anyone knows what is the difference od these 2 and which can help protect paint better? Tks all.
  4. The TP officer show me his mobile speed gun with my speed on it. I was wondering, does that speed gun have built in camera? if not, how the court determine the speed captured is for my car?
  5. There's a speed trap near BKE CCK exit (Exit 3), and one speed trap along PIE before Lornie. Am I the only one who take effort to slow down to < 90 KPH? I see other vehicles zoom past me macam they don't give a damn.
  6. A 31-year old Singaporean driver had two police vehicles hot on his wheels in a 15km high-speed chase on Monday night, which spanned from around Punggol West to Shenton Way. He was eventually nabbed for driving while under disqualification, and for his rash act. The police had been conducting an operation along the Kallang-Paya Lebar Expressway (KPE) when the man's car whizzed past. He was found to be speeding, but did not stop when signalled to do so by the police. Instead, he stepped on the gas and sped off. The police began their pursuit, which started along the KPE around Punggol West and moved to the East Coast Parkway (ECP). The chase ended after the car turned into a carpark along Prince Edward Road around Shenton Way, and the driver found himself cornered by the two police vehicles. His car finally came to a halt after colliding with the police car. Police investigations are ongoing Bugger. Trying to mess with Mata S80
  7. Located along Upper Thomson Road towards Lornie where the prata shop at Sin Ming is.
  8. both pictures screenshot at 2.50pm..shows that raining is closely related to slower moving speed as most drivers slow down to be safer
  9. Kia has announced their 7 Speed DCT will be launched in 2015. It will be interesting to see how it will perform on the Koup with 1.6 Turbo. http://www.caradvice.com.au/273297/kia-to-launch-new-seven-speed-dual-clutch-automatic-in-2015/ Kia will introduce a new seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission to its passenger vehicle range from 2015. The new transmission will replace the six-speed auto that is currently available across most models in the car maker’s line-up. The new seven-speed DCT is understood to have been designed primarily for higher-power engines and larger vehicles, though is believed to be versatile enough to fit a broad range vehicle sizes, potentially from the Kia Rio city car (pictured below) to the Grand Carnival people-mover. Kia says its engineers have targeted a seven per cent improvement in fuel efficiency and a five per cent improvement in 0-100km/h acceleration ability from the seven-speed dual-clutch compared with the brand’s existing six-speed dual-clutch unit. Using two dry clutches equipped with an electric motor-driven clutch actuator and a pair of gear input shafts, Kia promises faster shift times than those achieved by conventional manual and automatic gearboxes, and the ability to shift sequentially or jump instantaneously to any forward gear based on the driver’s requirements. Kia says the near-continuous power delivery offered by the seven-speed unit minimises the loss of torque during gearshifts, promising a smoother drive across all conditions. An external damper has also been integrated in the pursuit of enhanced NVH (noise, vibration, harshness) refinement. The car maker claims the seven-speed dual-clutch transmission will deliver greater fuel efficiency and a sportier driving experience than any gearbox ever fitted to a Kia. It’s not yet clear which model will be the first to offer the seven-speed unit. Kia Australia public relations general manager Kevin Hepworth says the transmission is definitely headed our way and is a chance to reach local showrooms next year, though admitted the timing of its introduction will be dictated by the arrival of new and updated models.
  10. Dear all, just came back from a rooftop from hat yai. For the first time, at midnight I was speeding at 130, and suddenly a flash light bright in my mirror. And my relative said that the Malaysia government has installed an AES to catch speedster. Place becareful. Cheers.
  11. Is that true??? I read from newspapers that the speed limit is 70km/hr and there is many speed cameras to catch u if u go above. isn't 70km/hr a bit slow for an expressway????? after they spend MILLIONS of dollars digging so long.... set 70km/hr?
  12. My trip computer says 24km/h!......Ahhhhh, the joys of a world-class road system.
  13. Since 4pm till now. Not sure the speed limit over there but the TP is on the side towards Tuas but seemingly pointing the direction towards changi.
  14. Found these picture on FB. Really true TP used these camera to catch speeding??

  16. The video might be 15 minutes long but its totally worth it. It uses actual facts and logic to get rid of the notion that lower speed limits is the way to go. So what's your take on this? Should the speed limit be raised to eliminate the hoggers?
  17. There are many considerations when the German construct the Autobahn. And please do not treat the NSHW as autobahn. Enjoy the video.
  18. http://www.thestar.com.my/News/Nation/2013...s-Ministry.aspx as above, for those who are heading north during next weekend, do take note
  19. i ever hit almost 200km/hr. yes the tachometer onli reads until 180km/hr max. i managed to go beyond that until the engine auto reduce rpm. anybody tried that before? (travelling at NSHW, car still maintain its stability ...no vibration ,unknowngly hit above 180km/hr til i realise rpm reduce.. dun mean to speed but waja tailgte and high bean me with a truck blocking me infront.
  20. Need advice, bros. Besides on-wheel balancing, is there any other way solve steering vibration at high speed (>120km/h)? Is camber or toe adjustment necessary after a +1 rim upgrade?
  21. Over the past week, the PSI index has been on steroids, thanks to our Indonesian neighbour. In addition to caring for our respiratory system, drivers should take extra care when cruising on the road. Here are some tips on driving in hazy conditions: Turn on fog lights (if equipped) - Fog lights differ from driving lights in the way they project the light. The beam projected by fog lights is usually wide and flat so that it stays close to the road surface and minimises reflection by the haze. They also better illuminate the sides of the road. Keep a wider distance from the vehicle in front - Increase your count distance by five seconds instead of the normal two seconds behind another vehicle. Do not speed. Use your low beams - The visibility in front of you will decrease sharply in hazy condition. The light from high beam headlights will be reflected by the thick haze. Do not let your car drift - There's a natural tendency to wander into the middle of the road when visibility gets bad. Be sure to keep yourself in your lane. Seek assistance from front passenger - Ask your passengers to help keep an eye out for oncoming cars and obstacles on the road. Use the right edge of the road as a guide - This can help you avoid running into oncoming traffic or being blinded by oncoming headlights. Drive safely and pray that hazy days will go away soon.
  22. I wonder Audi's 7-speed S tronic,is it 'almost' the same as VW 7-speed D.S.G.....?
  23. escape collision ... good reflect but why need to speed up to cabut? scare sibei mafan when cops come to ask this ask that? the engine sound not bad ...
  24. Since last year, I have been noticing the trucks and lorries speeding and zapping on roads. Whether you are driving Volvo or hummer, if one of these giant kiss you, there are slim chance of walking out alive. Do you agree that all should be fitted with speed limiting device, which only allow at 50 - 60KMH?
