  2. Hi We all know that on a straight road with speed camera, if a car beat the traffic light, the camera will be activiated. How about beating the light (no camera on the road before turning) and turning into a road with speed camera? Curious to know Thanks much.
  3. Hi all, Pls look at posted scenario. i dont know if im the only one that feels like this... Very often, some cars take their own sweet time to slow down WAY BEFORE APPROACHING the dedicated turning lane.. and even when they reach that lane to filter, they choose to either 1. slowly filter in, most of the time straddling both straight and turning lanes 2. or move in at the last minute It is particular irritating to the cars behind. I usually will 'steer' into the lane at earliest possible time to avoid holding up any car behind me (of cos if there is a queue there, boh bian). How often do u kena a red light you didnt have to because of these cars? Especially for right turning lanes, since lane 1 is for faster moving vehicle. So if you need to filter out to U turn or turn right? MOVE YOUR A$$ FASTER!
  4. Anyone encounter someone who look like a fake TP standing on the overhead bridge carrying a black point & shoot camera aiming at cars. Yesterday morning happen to see one around 820am, white Merc taxi suddenly jam brake shortly after passing the stationary speed trap and that's when the taxi driver starts to floor his accelerator. I was following behind on the bend where the bridge ahead in not in full view and nearly kiss the taxi upon seeing those brake lights and saw the guy on top wearing the white top and dark blue pants but doesn't seem neatly pressed as an uniform should. Looks more like those whom summon at hdb car park. If it's real then I think this is a dangerous stunt and TP should be aware of. For a minute the taxi was traveling under 80kmh. Must have scared the sxxx out of him.
  5. where are these white ants? i thought they are not supposed to be hiding?
  6. Hi all, I just did the 60k km servicing and steering was perfectly alright. my new tyres just clocked 8000km. after tyres were balanced and rotated, my steering vibrated although faintly at around 100-110km/hr. i can feel the vibration when i try to change lane at high speed. i balanced my tyre again and all of the were 0-0. any idea what caused the faint vibration?
  7. Is 4 speed more torquey but heavier fuel consumption compare to 5 or 7 speed? Or it lose out in all aspect?
  8. Hi all, I will like to create a public awareness on this car dealer (Five Speed motoring), Please see my letter to second hand car association for their assistance. 'I entered into a hire purchase agreement with Five Speed motoring and wanted to do an early settlement as getting another car from another dealer. I called Five Speed office and was advised by the outstanding amount for settlement is $35,684. I did a computation under Rule 78 and calculated the amount outstanding to be $35,274. I think this is acceptable since the difference is minimal. On the actual settlement date, I was told that the amount outstanding is $38,897 instead of $35,684. I called Five Speed motoring immediately and spoke to the boss. He assured me that he will look into the matter and refund me the difference if any. He would also email me a copy of the UOB statement (Five speed refinance the hire purchase with UOB). He added that I should still continue the settlement and that Five Speed would settle the difference with me separately. It was a gentlemen
  9. I have seen so many accidents over CNY. And i thought what a terrible feeling to buang on CNY. Will surely screw up your plans if not your lives. So i urge everyone to not speed. And dont be afraid to stick to the speed limit even on lane 1. Dont let those tailgaters pressure you. Your lives, your family lives are more important. Remember, you will never ever get fined for travelling at 90km/hr on lane 1 on the expressway. But you may lose your license or lives if you speed. So think about it, which is the wise option? Drive safe everyone.

  14. Have anyone encounter this problem, when driving at around 90 to 110, it vibrate intermittently, when i release gas and step again , the vibration goes off but will come back again after some km. Could it be the spark plug as the last time I change is over 30k km? Forget to add if I accelerate during the vibration, the car vibrates even more violently, it only stop when I release and step the gas again.

  19. Anyone can share with me where I can get on-car high speed wheel balancing done and at what cost? Preferably around Bukit Batok, Clementi or Bukit Panjang area? My steering tends to vibrate when driving at speeds above 100km/hr; I believe this would solve the problem.
