  1. Hi All, I am interested in changing my stock audio setup. My stock setup includes 2 tweeters, 2 front spkers (?"), 2 rear speakers (4"). Saw that the rear speakers are from "Boss Audio". HU is Blaupunkt Dakota CD31 and a 5 Disc In-dash changer. Any advice of what to change? I am interested to change to DAB52. (want to use the MP3 function) Was advice to add an amp and a woofer/bass tube, change the front spkrs. Rear spkrs because of the limited space, only can use 4"...so no point to change - this is what I was told. True?? I need some help and recommendation on the brand of amp, woofer and speakers. Thanks. I saw the Velocity woofer unit...looks not bad.
  2. Hi all, Anybody intending to let go his stock rims? I've a badly scratched rim....looking for replacement.
  3. Hi guys, Merry X'Mas to all of u.... Just feel like popping a few questions for u. IMO, I feel that stock stuffs are better, ie, plugs and cables. Now that I have changed everything back to stock, recommended by the manual, I feel alot better. Engine runs smoother and quieter, most inmportantly, fuel consumption is better. Now that I have set my mind not to meddle with all these stuffs liao... The next thing I'm gonna do is..... GROUNDING!!! Dont mind telling me where to get this done by MCF ppl huh?? And how much is the cost?? Mcwell doing that for $188, and the cables - WHOA - damn thick man....
  4. Hi ppl, Need some advise. I recently saw some AV system for home theatre 5.1 package. It's a pair JBL floorstanding speakers, rears, centre, and a rather solid woofer + a harmon/kardon amp (model is ??300??). Whole JBL package I think is...?? 4555 ?? Anyway, it's selling at half price! $699. Seems like a super good deal to me. Coz if I were to go outside, maybe just a amp will cost me $599 liao. Woofer maybe $400 liao.... But the drawback is....This clearance set of JBL is display one. And I understood that it's 3yrs old liao. But the shop will give me 1 yr warranty. Quite alot of scratches on the woofer though....(but was thinking, maybe can get some carpenters to redo the veneers?) So.....any comments? I personally think it's a good deal since the woofer sounds very good (woofer made in canada, not sure about the speakers though).
  5. Hi guys Just came back from a track session....... just want to share some experiences.... I have been driving on the track before with my stock suspension for a few times before i changed to a coilover suspension a year ago. This is the first time I tried with the new setup on the track. This is some of my feedback and IMHO....on the differences... 1. stock suspension - softer, and more roll - easier to control and takes more time to settle in a corner - correction is easier and it feels more forgiving - squeaking of tyres 2. Coilover suspension - harder, much lesser roll - settling time into a corner is much faster and sudden. - adjustment much more difficult, required really undestanding of the behaviour of new setup...everything happens much faster and sudden...sometimes no warning at all..in my opinion kinda of dangerous for people who dont have the experience and skill to adjust and adapt to it. - car at limits and will give way even without squeaking of tyres. any other people has common experience to share?....
  6. 4 pieces of early 99' BMW 316 good condition 15' stock rims (5 hole) for quick sale for S$50 a piece (4 for $200). Email: [email protected] for enquiry. Self-pick up only.
  7. There is a guy wanting to let go of his 16" Bora Rims, and I might be able to get it for a reasonable price for my Octavia. Anyone know where I can get plain, non branded covers that fit stock VW or Audi alloy rims? Thanks.
  8. Due to my height (1.8m), i need to push my seat back and as a result the steering is abit far from me. Is there any spacer in the market that can be use with the stock steering wheel (with airbag) to push it nearer to me? Thanks.
