LTA want me to change back to stock. all the workshop i ask don't have. how do i explain to LTA??? market no have, workshop no have, what should i do, where else can buy?

For those who are waiting at the sidelines for COE prices to drop further, console yourselves that car prices are cheaper now than before. Back in 1997, the G8 Toyota Corolla cost $125K. The G9 Corolla dropped to $100K in 2000. Today, the Corolla Altis costs $100K with 5 years warranty and servicing thrown in. If you take inflation into consideration, the brand new Corolla today is CHEAPER than 20 years ago. With Uber and Grab in the picture fighting for a piece of the small Cat A pie, COE prices are unlikely to drop to $40K levels. If you really need a car, just go for it now, before more Car Llite policies come into place and COE quote gets cut, then we will be back to $80+K COE seen just very recently 2 years ago.

May I check where can one get flat fuses (inside the car fuse box) outside workshops? Need a couple of 10A and 15A fuses. Any suggestions? Thanks

Managed to D.I.Y. connecting a car camera to a direct-wired power supply drawn from the cigarette lighter socket internally, hidden from view, and still able to have access to the stock cigarette lighter socket. Also, a cool peek on how the WRX owner D.I.Y his own STI Inter cooler mist spray ! Followed with a wire mesh wrap for his lower front bumper to prevent bugs and leaves, debris from collecting at the radiator or damaging it from pebbles and road debris. Hi guys I'm doing a little research for my next ride. Thinking of changing the rims and keeping the tires to maintain the comfort and cost down. The dimensions (gathered from internet) for the Forester FNA rims and tires are as follows: Tire 225/60R 17 Rim 7J x 17 ET48 PCD 5 x100 Center Bore 56.1mm Any recommendations or advice on the rims and shops? And what's the average cost per rim? Thanks a lot!

It's been 2 weeks, noise gar gar.....coming from below. First though it was coming from that lousy tyres installed 4mths ago. Then slowly realised once 4th gear kicked-in the noise started to roar until the car slowed till 2nd gear speed then will the noise stopped. And btw its an old AWD 4 speed AT car. Checked GB fuild and it's full n clear in color, did an AT flush this Feb, for now only can't check the rear diff gear oil lvl. Going w/s tomolo, but if its the rear diff dry up, will the noise start in 4th gear? This stupid noise is like the gear grinding each other non-stop. Anyone experience this issue before?

Bros & Sis, I just newly got my used subaru impreza 1.5R 5D. Suddenly, i drove and saw the amber logo light up....above the oil indicator reading....so i went to my mechanic n do the troubleshoot diagnosis...then he asked me what petrol i pump....i say v-power 97 malaysia petrol. He said that the oil octane not suitable for my car...that why will....is it true? Or something else? As he use the device n step hard on my accelerator...vroommmm...and the indicator is gone n back to normal....how huh? And if any subaru driver who drove n pump petrol occur the same prob?

Hi, got a 9 year old impreza wrx windshield pump not working, anyone diy before and is it easy to get parts ? I dont think it will be a difficult job, so intend to diy. Used to buy honda part from fing tat and merce parts from thye soon but not sure if they carry subaru's parts. Thanks in advanced.

I am driving a Legacy 2.5 GT BL9. Whenever I go over hump or roads whereby my front wheels will leave the ground (momentarily) I get this "Groaking" sound from the under carriage. This sound is more pronounce when I first drive the car early in the morning (I assume when its cold, some rubber parts have not fully expanded). Any idea what could be the issue? ***No there is no frog living under my car

I am having an issue with my 07 WRX recently. When stopping at traffic light for a long time, my ABS light comes on intermittently and when it does, my voltmeter reading drops below 10 and my radio goes off. After a while the voltmeter reading will go up, the ABS light goes off and the radio comes back on. When moving off, the car feels like there is a loss of power momentarily and will lurch forward for a bit if the ABS light is still on. Once I hit normal speeds the problem disappears. Once in a while the Check Engine Light will come on too. I sent it to a workshop today, and I ended up paying $50 for them to just tell me that there is some part that is probably failing, but there is no way for them to know until there is a permanent light. As the car is going to be scrapped next year, I don't want to spend $$$ on a wild goose chase to fix this problem. But at the same time I am driving Grab at night, so when the car lurches forward it's not comfortable for the passengers as well. I just got this car recently in April. Will collect car on 8 or 9 June. Thought I'd list down for fun what stuff I have planned to get ( some stuff may not be locally available I see a lot of Youtube). These are basic necessities. Not interested in nice to have items.... 1. Hozelock fitting for connecting hose to MSCP paid tap 2. Hose - Prob like 10m long 3. Pail with grit guard 4. Car Shampoo - Optimum No Rinse 5. Wax - Meguairs Spray Wax 6. Microfiber cloths - 10 pcs (plan to use Single Bucket with several cloths for 1 wash) 7. Leather cleaner - Chemical Guys 8. Leather conitioner - Chemical Guys 9. Vacuum - I got a Dyson handheld so no need to buy 10. Brushes for tyres - I dont see much point in cleaning tyres to be honest... 11. Suction cup holder for phone for Google Maps navigation 12. Sun shade - Need to install Blackvue first before buying to make sure it doesn't block the view Planned regiment : 1. Wash once a week or 2 weeks 2. Wax after wash once a month 3. Clean leather once a month (condition alternate month) Thats all for now..... Heard about Autobacs to will prob pay the place a visit this weekend. Feel free to post :-)

Hi, Just test drove the new Subaru Legacy. Was very very very very impressed. Handling was really good. Very tempted to buy the car. Just wondering, how is the servicing at Motorimage. Is it expansive? Do they do a good job? Is it expansive? Also the warranty only for 60k. So, after warranty service is expansive? Do they have parts problems? and are parts expansive, compared to say Nissan? Lastly are there outside workshops that sepecialise in Subaru. Do you guys rely on Agent to service after warranty or outside.

Hi all, I am looking at a 2007 and 2009 legacy 2.5 GT. Is there any difference in their spec? How about maintenance wise? How about modification in the future? is it gonna be more exp and harder than modifying NA car?

The paint on my Brembo calipers are chipped and faded. Any recommendations for respraying the Brembo calipers? Inclusive of the Brembo decals and clear lacquer to protect the decals. I already bought the caliper rebuild kit to replace the pistol seals after the respray.

Guys , thanks for keeping up and staying in our scooby corner. But it has been lock due to too many pages so can i have all ur support again n let the ball keep rolling over here ?
