  1. Drove past a TP today. From rear view mirror, saw him immediately whip out his notebook and started scribbling and staring at the back of my car. I don't know what could have been the offense or whether he recorded my car or the other cars beside me. But the question is: Can the TP just issue a summon to me when he did not stop me?
  2. I got an overnight parking summon of $50 (I parked in normal white lot)Thought fine should be $30 instead of $50? I am appealing this summon cos I had display 2 $1 coupons but got the date wrong and was quite shocked to see the summon the next morning. Can bros here advice me which email to send the appeal letter to?My summon ghas a wilson parking logo so do I email Wilson or HDB direct??? Tkas for any advice [sweatdrop]

  6. if ur wife/partner receives and open your car's Traffic Fine and found out u got fined at Geylang but she wasn't with u on the day u got fined... or maybe got fined at ur mistress location at weird hours... how would u get out of such a tacky situation?
  7. Hi Guys, I need some help and suggestions. Ok, basically I received a letter from HDB informing me that i have an outstanding fine of $30 for a summon issued to me on 21/1/2009 at 0100hrs. I did park at a HDB MSCP carpark from abt 0000hrs-0400hrs. I displayed a $2 night parking coupon with all the correct tabs peeled. When i was ready to leave my friend's place, I saw no summon on my windscreen (I wasn't expecting to see any since i had a coupon displayed). That MSCP does allow night parking btw. So i'm a little surprise by the letter i received asking me to provide HDB with details of the driver if the registered owner of the vehicle is not the driver that commited the offence. What options do I have now? I seriously don't think it's fair for me to pay since there wasn't any offence commited in the first place. Also my friend told me that his MSCP has a sign that states, "Carpark Monitored by CCTV". Can i request for HDB to reveal the CCTV footage to see if the CP warden did or did not issue a ticket? I suspect this is probably done on purpose because of the car. It's kinda rare to see the car that I drove in a HDB CP so is it possible the warden was trying to be funny and thought i would simply just pay the fine when i receive the reminder letter? Who/Where should I go to/speak to? Would really appreciate your help, forumers.. Thank you.
  8. Hi All, My car was issued with a Notice of Parking offence by CERTIS CISCO for parking at double yellow lines at Woodlands Square on May 16. Anyone have any appeals that work? by the way its my first offence.

Hi folks, today receive one summon for dropping my mum at the Eunos bus stop opp the car driving centre. couldn't LTA be more understanding that we are not trying to hogging the whole bus lane but just sending our love one to the bus stop in order for them to catch the bus to their work place?all these was less than 30 second Does appeal works?

  11. anyone noes when receive parking summon, wat is the specific time frame allowed to pay the summon? i actually wrote in an appeal but dun noe how long it will take for the appeal to be successful..
  12. Bros, If and only IF "touch wood", I kena speed trap and it's a road block kind, must I pay on the spot (by law, not under table ) or just get the ticket and pay later? I'm confuse cos their can't-make-up-their-mind minister sometimes says on-the-spot fine RM300, sometimes just ticket... I'm afraid if I kena speed trap at road block, and I didn't ask for "tolong" (help), they might play punk and ask me pay the fine on the spot or "balik balai" (go lockup)
  13. Yester i parked my car along this road and went to makan. It is a 2-way street and center is marked double white line( meaning no overtaking ). So came one cisco scooter and summon me for parking there. However when i see the ticket, it say that i commintted " Parking opposite continuous white line under rule R22(A) RTR". Also stated the summon will be issued by TP later...makes me sweat I saw on the website that parking will also kenna demerite points...issit in this case? Wah,,....so hard got the good driving record from tp...5% NCD off...now kenna parking demerite points....I tot only driving time then will get demerite points.... If given a choice i prefer driving then kenna instead of parking....makes ppl laugh at me only Can bros here have any idea whether i will get demerite points?
  14. Well It's my first time so it's $70 Dollars. Not very willing to donate to Govt, so any bros have luck here? What are the successful reasons and the address to write in to? (or they accept E-mails?)
  15. 2 weekends ago, I went to my future home and parked in the multi storey carpark without realising its a non-free sunday carpark... when i got back to my car after 20mins, i kena summoned by fatimah. she was sitting inside her hubby's car waiting for her 'prey' lo.. Most stupid thing is downstairs kopitiam double yellow line and the HDB's "no parking" lots all got ppl park there lo! suay suay i kena $30 summon cos my "buck chew ko tio sai" never see the no free sunday parking at entrance! nevertheless, I made a appeal online on 2 Dec. The acknowledgement page said they will revert within 3 working days but today is already the 9th working day. All the workers in the parking offence appeal dept in HDB clearing dec leave enjoying their 2mths bonus ah? Anyway when will they usually reply? Or should I appeal again? Please advice. Thanks in advance!
  16. http://www.rilek.com.my/pdrm/IPC/PDRM_SummonsInq.jsp i just got 2 summons for speeding on NSH ,total RM600 . what do you guys do huh? Pay or ignore ?
  17. Read a report in STOMP in regards of a STOMPer who post his dis-pleasure of been one of the 6 vehicles kana summons in a heavy vehicle park out of the 30 vehicles parked there. http://singaporeseen.stomp.com.sg/viewPost5979.aspx Here is his complain extract from STOMP :- Project executive Kwek, 36, got a summons for a parking offence at Pasir Ris Street 1 but is even more upset that his car was among six "singled out or picked at random". He feels that up to 30 vehicles ought to get booked. "I am very upset with the integrity and the reason behind why only six vehicles (include me) were singled out or rather pick at random and at will to issue a fine. "How about others? Are the carpark attendants from United Premas sleeping on the job? Their company paid them to have such sub-standard attitude?" he asked in an email today (10 Oct). The STOMPer sent 17 photos taken on 3 Oct to make his point. "These are just some of the photos I have taken. There are at least 25 to 30 vehicles parking at Pasir Ris Drive 1 heavy vehicle park. But only six vehicles were issued summonses, including me." These are his findings: "This car (below) has two parking coupons which are not for that day. It has a season parking ticket dated for month of June but no summons was issued. Picture shows a rubbish bin but is it supposed to be parked at a heavy vehicle park? "Signboard shows a parking coupon area but no summons was issued for numerous cars without displaying coupons. "Five parking attendants (below) drive off in a private car at 10.35am. Our fine ticket show we got a summons at 10.05am. "It shows that in the space of 30 minutes, five of them issued summonses to only four cars and two lorries." To all members of MCF, beware of this Project Executive. Do not park near to his vehicle as he would get you a summon by his photo evidents send to URA or HDB. SORE LOSER..................
  18. Hey guys, My parking summon was printed at 8.17pm but the attendant signed off at 805pm. Later when i was just abt to return to my car, the attendant came back and signed at 835pm. Does anyone know why she did that? i tried questioning her but she hurriedly walked away. thks
  19. bought the car from dealer a few months ago, just found there are 150RM unpaid summon at johor, the dealer should pay for the fine?
  20. Today New Paper headlines read : "Booked for parking in front of own house" - Katong man takes fight to court and loses. A private house owner along Marshall Rd received a summon of $50/- for parking right infront of his own house gate. He wrote a letter of appeal to URA thinking that they had made a mistake. URA reject his appeal and followed by 7 letters of appeal to URA. During this time, another summon of $50/- received for same offence of parking infront of his house. So instead of paying for the summons, he decided to take his fight to court. Last Tuesday, the owner lost his cases and was fined $700/- each for the 2 charges for not parking his car in a parking lot. On top of that, the owner chalked up a legal fee of $8000/- and had to take leave to attend the trial. Total cost for all the hassel is about $10,000/- for a $100/- fine. So beware for those who stays in private properties with car pouch inside your house. You have to park your vehicle inside your compound or risk fine from URA. This road (Marshall Road) was gazetted as one of the problem spot for illegal parking and even with the owner vehicle does not cause any obstruction or parking against a double yellow lines, URA can still fine you for illegal parking. With this case won by URA, you can expect them to take this as a preceding cases for future reference.
  21. My estate open carpark is square shape, only 1 lane per 1 direction. When i reach the carpark, i take the opposite lane because i am going to park in the middle. Sway sway, saw a neighbourhood police car driving towards me, i was like siao liao... Then i stop and let the police car drives pass. While i was doing my reverse, i saw him stop right next to me, and not moving anymore. My mind can sense that the policeman should be writing down my carplate no. When i am almost done with my parking, turn my head, the neighbourhood police car has left. I am expected within this week, i will be receiving a summon, which i hopefully dont wish to see it. damn unlucky, although it is incorrect, but i believe everyone happens to do it at least 1 time. What do u guys think? Dont scold me cause i saw other drivers doing it before, just that they are lucky nia. I dont mean to fight back but just that is just a short distance, so i just take shortcut. sigh. Sway...
  22. I have come across this blog documenting a pick-up driver committing handphone driving. The blogger has even videod the whole process as well as documenting the time and venue it occurred, acting like a TA. http://irresponsiblemotorists.blogspot.com...ne-driving.html I wonder if Singapore's Traffic Police would issue or has authority to issue summon based on the evidence presented by the blogger ???
  23. This is the 2nd time i received a summon ticket from hdb. Called in and complained and their their ppl to open their eyes bigger. One time i take it as careless. 2nd time, they are such irritating and useless bunch of ppl. Btw... i buy my season parking on time.
  24. What a joke. Received a letter from HDB informing of a summon that was issued to me on 27th August. The offence: Parking without displaying valid parking coupon(s) or displaying insufficient parking coupons. The time is 1035 and the location is Ubi Ave 1. The problem is I was in my office during that time, my car key was with me and my vehicle was not reported stolen. In fact, I saw my car in the office carpark lot when going to toilet. So WTH? How come I was issued a summon? Is it because the warden had a monthly quota to hit and therefore just key in any car licence plates that he saw? Guys, what should I do next? Is it possible to ask HDB to waive off the summon? Thanks. What a world class civil service.
  25. Hi all, need some advise on the above topic. Is it possible for the warden to issue summon without issuing a summon slip.I went online to check and notice i got one summon but didnt receive any slip from warden.
