  3. Bugger pushed me on the AYE for quite a distance (from Outram entrance to AYE towards Jurong to Buona Vista - He was behind me at the traffic lights at the entrance... once green light he started pushing)... Went up to 110km/h... 120km/h ... and then traffic started getting heavy... so decided not to "play" as CO was in the car as well... Filtered left ... bugger slowed down and drove in my right blind spot all the way without overtaking me even when he had the chance to do so... Trying to prove a point to me? In case you still haven't figured it out... SHC plate Superb... Silvercab

  8. I dont understand how such service can be given!!!! From: [email protected] Date: Apr 22, 2008 4:23 AM Subject: Re: Payment made To: *******@gmail.com> Hi, we are happy to know that you have finally read the instructions now. Sorry to say that we have a very huge customer base and we do not have time to entertain questions that have already been stated in the instructions. Even Primary school kids can read simple instructions, we do not understand why an adult like you will need us to remind you many times to read the instructions. It doesn't matter at all to us if you are not going to patronise us. Lastly, you did not pay for the delivery service. Self collection of items will only be at our convenience. If you wish to have items delivered fast, kindly pay for the service. Thank you! Regards, The ShopLah! Team Quoting ******@gmail.com>: Hi, Thanks for processing the orders. Now that I've read the instructions, I understand how you guys process the ordering. However, as a customer, I do not think that I deserve such rude and bad attitude from the shoplah team. If you think you cannot handle simple questions from customer, then may be this service line is not suitable for you. Also, this shall be the first and last time I will be ordering from shoplah as I think there is no need for me to patronise this online shop if the people managing it do not value their customers and give customers lousy attitude. Anyway, there are lots of reviews about shoplah over the online forums and having one time experience ordering from shoplah, I now believe that the reviews are true. Despite the unhappy occurance, I do hope that we will receive our orders on time. Regards, ***** On 4/21/08, [email protected] wrote: Hi! We have received your payment. 10. VW recalls 410,000 Passats in U.S. market Fri Apr 4, 2008 5:29pm EDT Email | Print | Share| Reprints | Single Page| Recommend (0) [-] Text [+] http://www.reuters.com/article/domesticNew...431773220080404 DETROIT (Reuters) - Volkswagen AG is recalling some 410,000 Passat sedans sold in the United States due to potential problems with heat shields and fuel line components, the German automaker said on Friday. Europe's largest carmaker said it would voluntarily recall all gasoline-powered Passats it had sold from the 1999 through 2005 model years for inspection and possible repair. The wide recall marks a setback for VW at a time when it has set ambitious targets for growth in the U.S. market and is considering building a new auto plant in North America. Volkswagen said some Passat vehicles with an automatic transmission have an underbody heat shield that could be subject to damage, creating a risk if it touches the exhaust system. Other vehicles will be inspected for potential damage to a fuel tank ventilation valve and a fuel line, VW said. Volkswagen said no accidents or injuries have been reported because of the defects. VW advised owners and drivers of the Passat sedans covered by the recall to go immediately to the nearest dealership or certified repair shop if they smell gasoline. VW will issue recall notices to Passat owners by the end of May, it said.

  19. HI Ramesh, I own the Skoda Superb on 5th March with great review from friends and website on the reliabilities of the car and how well built the car is. But it has not been true to me. I am rather disappointed with the warranty claims over my car for a rather small issues which had not been able to be solved. I will have to seek other recourse should nothing can be done to my car soon as i cannot be waiting endlessly for my car to be road worthy. The issues are as follow. I encounter the EPC light up problem when my mileage is about 5k and send in to your authorise warranty claim workshop and was told that they will indent the petrol sensor and make the warranty claim. I thought that my problem will be the end soon and i happily waited. However is was not so. It is the start of more problem. I have to wait 3months for the parts to come and while waiting for the parts to come i cannot do anything else. The problem i encountered with the EPC is that the car is not able to go beyond 2.5k RPM and i am unable to pick up and it is a danger to me becoz the EPC can come on whenever it like. I didnt dare to over take car in case when i over take the problem come out and i will lose power and in that event risk my life and others life in the process. If this is not solve in the event there happens to be an accident who will be responsible and also my petrol consumption increases greatly due to the said problem. I am suppose to do my normal 1st servicing on the 15k and then due to the parts not in yet i have to delay the servicing to 20k so that i can install and get the parts done at the same tim. After the exchange of the parts when i was promised that the problem is solved but however the moment that i drive out of the workshop the light just came on. I when back and was told that they will indent another petrol sensor and ask to wait for the parts to come. However i am very unhappy that the problem wont be solve and only when i make noise then i was directed to you. However u also ask me to come back so many time claiming that you have to wait for Skoda (Czech) to come back with how so to repair the car then u can repair the car if not they cannot claim the warranty. I came back and you told me that becoz your staff FORGET to do adaptive coding to the ECU so that they will do again and then it will be better. After doing so the EPC light came on again. Was told to come back to change the pin connector in the petrol sensor and then was also told that it will most likely solve the problem. However it never did. I took the time off to seek alternative outside workshop for opinions and advice, I didnt touch anything or repair the car by the workshop, advice given to you was also rejected saying that you wont take in advice from other place. Wat a remark from a distributor when i am trying my best to chip in and try to help in solving the problem in order to expedite the issues but was totally thrown out. I took so much time off to solve the problem and i am always on the road being in the sales line and i require my car as a mode of transport. Who is going to pay for my time and effort loss when the problem can be expedite if the dealers can be more willing to hear the customer out. If the above mentioned problem is not solved any sooner i think i will have to seek other recourse. I am rather dissatified with how the staff handle the problem and the warranty took so long to repair the fault.
  20. comes with 1.4 TSI, 1.8TFSI and even a 300bhp version ! http://www.autocar.co.uk/News/NewsArticle/AllCars/228962/ http://www.autocar.co.uk/blogs/stillatthew...e-to-drive.aspx
  21. This is my one month after reciving my ride. So far so good, getting good response from the car, smooth engine, comfortable, so far family and friends whom have riden in my car has nothing but good comments on the comfort of the ride. Those whom have drove my car also commented good comments about the car, they like it especially with the light turbo kicking in. Also the power to overtake is decent. So far I drive it nice and easy, do not really push the car that hard, but found that overtaking is not a problem that I used to struggle with some other 1.8 litre cars, if I require more power, just switch to tip mode and drop a gear if need to and it gives me enough power to move through some sticky situation if need be. Reommended ride.

  24. Belongs to any bro here?
  25. Bro Koolaba, just a question, in trying your excellent fuel "stretching" method I am managing quite well in my fc. When I am on 5th gear or sometimes even 3rd gear when I release the accelerator the car will show 0.0 L/KM this is when the torque convertor is disengaged and no fuel is being pushed to the engine? Because immediately after that at a slow speed it will start to go up again. (Not sure if I explained it clearly) So why does it do that? Attached is a pic of my improvements in FC.Usually it is 540km of fuel available, it has incrementally been stretching the distance.
