The spy photos aren't the best quality – they look like they were taken from quite a distance – and camouflage hides the finer details. However, we can see that it should wear new clothes even if the underpinnings carry over unchanged, which is the current rumor. It'll borrow design cues from the redesigned Nissan Juke while taking inspiration from Nissan's IMQ concept. You can see the Juke's influence at the rear with the prominent rear quarter panels and sloping hatch glass. The interior is expected to receive a major overhaul with a new dashboard design and a revamped infotainment system. Nissan will begin focusing on electric vehicles instead, using two new hybrid systems. One is suspected to be the company's ePower system that pairs a gasoline engine with batteries and an electric motor. The other could be a plug-in hybrid system relying on Mitsubishi's experience in the arena. Other gasoline engines will likely feature mild-hybrid setups to increase efficiency.

Recently booked the 2022 Eclipse Cross after not owning a brand new car since 2006. This car is seriously under rated locally due to the 1st gen having an unconventional 2 piece rear glass hatch and the long absence of Mitsubishi since the last Evo X, Lancer EX models. Those looking for a value, quality build (MIJ), stylish and spacious CUV should consider test driving this before the boring Vezel/HRV, XV/Forrester, Harrier/RAV4 or even the Conti Crossovers like Q2, X1, GLA. With 163hp/250nm, it easily surpasses most offerings in the same segment with the classic variant and it's still a 4 cylinder Turbo as compared to the struggling 3 cylinders. It does have flaws like no auto tailgate, halogen bulbs, missing autofold mirrors, no auto lock, CVT gearbox (simulated gear changes quite realistic though), smaller boot space (due to coupe hatch styling), FCM (caused quite a bit of problem in 1st gen), 16" wheels and basic 7" Sony HU. Resale value definitely will be lower than Toyota/Honda/BMW/Mercs but it only has an OMV of 18K and vehicle price of 45K max (before COE). So far my passengers have been impressed with the cabin space, minimalist layout and quality leather (locally fitted) seats. Ride quality and well insulated doors made the journey rather pleasant like a Conti make. As a driver, though never an advocate of the CVT gearbox the high torque pushes the 1.5 ton on every acceleration and smooths out the climb to 90km/h without your realization. Only at 100km/h will u start hearing some wind noises from the big, wide side mirrors. Bump absorption has been pretty good on the EC almost to Lexus quality but maintains a sporty feel when doing bends and corners. There were body rolls for sure due to the high CG but the rigidity of the GS tuned to JS platform kept everything intact. Here's a Taiwan review of it's light off-road capability, sorry it's in Chinese 😛 Hope there'll be more interest in this model as it's still a Mitsubishi thorough bred before the Renault-Nissan platforms becomes the base of future models.

If you think you have seen this car before, you are not wrong. This electric SUV from Subaru is a badge-engineered Toyota bZ4X. In developing Solterra, the brand's first battery electric vehicle (BEV) to be launched globally, Subaru aimed to exceed the various customer expectations for BEVs and make it a practical vehicle so that customers can choose it comfortably and confidently, as the vehicle will be the cornerstone of Subaru's future BEVs. At the same time, as a Subaru SUV, Subaru aimed to make it a vehicle that existing Subaru customers can feel that it truly is a Subaru. By filling it with new values that a BEV can offer and the value of "enjoyment and peace of mind" that Subaru have cultivated over many years, Solterra has been built as an authentic SUV in an environmentally friendly package that can be used with peace of mind like the existing Subaru SUV models. Exterior and Interior The seamlessly shaped hexagon grille expresses the energy efficiency of a BEV. Driving Performance/AWD System Subaru Solterra has adopted a new system that drives the front and rear wheels with separate motors. By adding the new Grip Control function, which enables the vehicle to run at a constant speed while stabilizing the vehicle even on rough roads, the capability is further enhanced. Safety By devising the skeleton shape of each part of the body and optimizing the material strength, Solterra achieves both weight reduction and superior collision safety at the same time. In the event of a collision, the structure that transfers the load to multiple body skeletons efficiently absorbs the collision energy. It protects not only the vehicle occupants, but also protects the high-voltage equipment in the BEV. Solterra is the vehicle which takes an important role for Subaru, the company aiming at "delivering happiness to all," to face the challenges of global warming and climate change and continue to deliver smiles in the future. The vehicle has been jointly-developed by Toyota and Subaru, which entered into a new business and capital alliance in September 2019. They brought together technologies and knowledges that are expertise of each under the slogan "Let's make ever-better cars together" and the engineers of both companies developed it together while engaging in a friendly rivalry. The launch of the Subaru Solterra will start by the middle of 2022 in the markets including Japan, the United States, Canada, Europe and China.

While many of us are still admiring the facelifted G70, the assault continues in Korea with Genesis showing to the world another brand new SUV in its lineup! Come on KMC, please re-introduce the Genesis brand in Singapore. It should perform much better this time round. We’ve known for a while now that the Genesis lineup is growing, and today the company showed off the newest member of the family. The 2022 GV70 SUV made its unofficial debut in typical Genesis form: no specifics, but a few pictures to grab our attention. It’s not the first time the Korean luxury brand has pulled off this stunt; it sneakily pulled the cover off the new G80 sedan in similar style. But today is all about the GV70, the second SUV in the Genesis range of cars, acting as the little sibling to the GV80. Now that it’s not wearing any camouflages, we can see the GV70’s full design, including a rather close resemblance to the recently facelifted G70 sedan. The brand’s dual-line motif continues here with the split headlight and taillight layout, along with the now-ubiquitous shield grille. We’ll argue that the GV70 is a bit spicier than the GV80, especially with the dramatic c-pillar shape, and attention-seeking upright exhausts. Genesis also previewed the GV70 Sport, which includes blacked-out details and specific oval exhausts. And wow, the wheels look great, too. Inside things are more familiar, with the same 14.5-inch touchscreen perched atop the dash (as in the GV80), and ditto the 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. The GV70 shakes up the recipe some, with ambient lighting surrounding the climate controls, and oval shapes popping up throughout the interior. While more pictures are sure to follow soon, Genesis' latest cabin design seems like a fun reinterpretation of prior models. Although the company is still mum on the majority of the specs, but we can assume – with some certainty – what will be under the hood. That means donations from the GV80, including a standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder and optional 3.5-liter six-cylinder, with potentially up to 375 horsepower. Stay tuned for more updates.

I'm driving a Mazda CX-8 (6 seater) on stock 225/55/R19. Thinking to change tyres soon at AD because I have some vouchers to offset the cost but they only have Yokohama RV02 and Bridgestone Alenza. Need some feedback on which one should I go for. My criteria (in order of priority): 1. Quietness 2. Comfort 3. I don't need super grippy tyres but standard decent grip is fine. Have to admit that this Asskana Arkana is damn sexy. Truly a French affair. Groupe Renault confirms its desire to break the rules and become the first general vehicle maker to offer an international Coupé SUV. The production version of Arkana is an all-new C-segment (4.54 m) model with an innovative, distinctive design. Built at the Moscow plant and on sale from this summer on the Russian market, it will contribute to the worldwide expansion of Groupe Renault as part of its strategic Drive the Future plan. Combining the elegance of a saloon, the sportiness of a coupé and the robustness of an SUV, the Arkana show-car impressed everyone when it was unveiled at the 2018 Moscow Motor Show. The external design of the production version of the Arkana Coupé SUV differs only slightly from the show-car. It retains the sloping roof line, very high waistline and wide, expressive bumper. The chrome components on the grill and around the windows and C-Shape LED headlights embody the DNA of Renault design, to highlight its elegant appearance. When it goes on the market in summer 2019, the All-New Renault Arkana Coupé SUV will be offered in a range of 7 bodywork colours and 3 finish levels. It will be fitted with 17-inch tyres. A modern, comfortable interior Inside, the Renault Arkana Coupé SUV is all about space, quality, modernity and comfort, due, amongst other features, to materials that are pleasant to the touch, a new multimedia system and the MULTI-SENSE settings. The central console is equipped with an 8-inch touchscreen interface for the Renault EASY LINK multimedia system, which supports Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and Yandex Auto. The driver can personalise many of the components with practical, easy-to-use apps. Renault Arkana also has the benefit of MULTI-SENSE technology, which gives the driver a choice of three driving modes (Eco, Sport, My sense) and 8 ambience colours. This Coupé SUV is fitted with ideal equipment for winter driving - the steering wheel and driver and front passenger's seats are heated. The boot has a dual lighting system and the folding rear seats mean that luggage space can easily be increased from 508 litres to up to 1333 liters. The Renault engineers have also minimised vibrations and optimised the passenger compartment soundproofing on this new Coupé SUV. And thanks to a new Bose audio system, the passengers in the Renault Arkana are bathed in a high-quality sound approaching that of a live performance. 4-wheel drive for all road conditions The versatility and sturdiness of the Renault Arkana Coupé SUV on the road are the fruits of the joint efforts of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance, and of the Alliance's collaboration with Daimler. It is fitted with a new TCe 150 petrol engine that makes its first appearance on the Russian market. This turbocharged engine delivers 150hp and 250Nm of torque, to combine performance and driving pleasure with market-leading efficiency (7 l/100 km in combined cycle). This engine is coupled with an X-Tronic gearbox, to provide flexibility and responsive acceleration, and with the smart All Mode 4x4-i 4-wheel drive system developed by the Alliance. All SUV With the Yaris Cross, Toyota has produced an authentic SUV on a smaller scale, giving customers the higher driving position, practicality and interior spaciousness, they desire in a car with compact dimensions that make it well-suited to urban driving. The design evokes the classic qualities of SUVs, with a higher body and larger wheels/tyres communicating strength and purpose. Toyota Yaris Cross has the same 2,560 mm wheelbase as the new Yaris hatchback, but is 240 mm longer overall, with 60 mm added to the front overhang and 180 mm to the rear, securing more interior space. The ground clearance is 30 mm higher and the vehicle is taller and wider overall - by 90 and 20 mm respectively. Practical and Versatile Being a true SUV, special attention has been given to practicality and versatility. There's a power back door for when your hands are full. And an adjustable deck height to give the flexibility of either a secure underfloor compartment or increased trunk space for larger loads. In addition, the deck board itself can be split in two, giving customers both increased space and an underfloor storage area. The trunk is also equipped with a new flex belt system to secure items and stop them shifting during driving. Yaris Cross is just as spacious as it is practical. With all seats up and tonneau cover in place it delivers a large trunk volume. However, if more load capacity is needed, then there's a 40:20:40 foldable rear seat system to balance rear passenger space with cargo needs. Intelligent all-wheel drive One of the features that defines the new Toyota Yaris Cross as an authentic SUV is the availability of an intelligent all-wheel drive system - a unique feature in its class for a hybrid model. AWD-i provides extra stability and traction in everyday driving, in poor conditions and on low-grip surfaces. An electric system, it is more compact and weighs less than mechanical AWD units, helping the Yaris Cross Hybrid AWD-i achieve lower fuel consumption and CO2 emissions than any of its all-wheel drive B-SUV competitors. The system directs drive torque to the rear axle when pulling away and when accelerating. In normal driving, the Toyota Yaris Cross operates with front-wheel drive, but when low-grip conditions are detected, all-wheel drive is engaged automatically. This can be, for example, on wet cobblestones, in heavy rain, on wet or packed snow, or on sand. Advanced Driver Assistance System The foundation of the new Yaris Cross's safety performance is its GA-B platform, giving the car an exceptionally rigid body. With the intention of meeting the highest and most rigorous independent test standards, it will further benefit from Toyota Safety Sense active safety systems and advanced driver assistance functions, helping to avoid a wide range of common accident risks through driver information, early warnings and, when necessary, automatic braking and steering intervention. Design The design process of Toyota Yaris Cross brought together a wide team from studios in both Europe and Japan. To describe their ideas and inspiration in more detail, please find below the words of one member of the team - Lance Scott, Design General Manager at Toyota's EDD studio in Nice, France. "When we started this process, we understood that whilst style is the number one purchase reason in the B-SUV segment, customers were also keen to have a high level of practicality. Not easy things to reconcile, especially in a compact package. From the very beginnings of the design concept, we had the European customer in mind, but needed to understand more about them. So we went out and interviewed real customers to understand their lifestyle, what they liked, what their daily activities were and how they enjoyed themselves. After an enjoyable and enlightening process, we came back enthusiastic to design a car that would mirror their personality and deliver a vibrant combination of being both sophisticated and energetic. As a team, we came up with the key words 'Robust' and 'Minimalistic', which we felt would express both compactness and agility, as well as the robustness and strength of an SUV. When we started to sketch ideas for the exterior, the iconic image of a diamond consistently came to mind. Subsequently we coined the phrase 'nimble diamond' to express the hard, strong and premium image of the gemstone combined with the agile and fun to drive personality we felt the car needed to convey. From the top view, or plan view as we call it, we 'cut', or 'shaved' the body to give us a diamond shape that allowed us the space to emphasise the fenders. This diamond body shape combined with the 4 bold fenders gave us an energetic shape which was both strong and sophisticated. Clearly, we want the car to be immediately perceived as a SUV, so we emphasised a higher ground clearance, a strong horizontal axis giving a great balance and poise, big squared wheel arches and of course big wheels ... up to 18"! The face was also a very important aspect for us. We wanted to keep the strong DNA of Toyota's SUV line-up but at the same time give Yaris Cross an identity of its own. At the rear, we again focused on giving the car a good stance with the wide fenders illustrating how it looks planted on its wheels. Combining the horizontal rear tail lamps and rear screen clearly shows family identity with Yaris, yet the wider and more squared tailgate hints at the luggage space's larger flexibility for daily usage. For the exterior colour, we started to think about something that could express an active and high-quality image that our target customers would really appreciate. Looking at future colour trends we can see that there is a growing tendency for gold and other precious metals, but we wanted to offer something a bit more natural and urban. Adding a subtle hint of green to the gold direction, whilst also de-saturating the colour to emphasis the metal like appearance, gave us this fresh urban yet active appeal that highlighted the surface form of the exterior. The final result is a colour we call Brass Gold" Toyota expects to produce more than 150,000 Yaris Cross a year at the TMMF Onnaing factory, near Valenciennes in France, and achieve a B-SUV segment share of more than 8%.

The new model will be based on Jaguar Land Rover’s brand new MLA platform, which allows for Mild Hybrid, Plug-in Hybrid, and Battery Electric variants. The same platform will underpin the slightly smaller Range Rover Sport which is expected to be unveiled in 2022. As for the powertrains, most likely all of them will receive some form of electrification for improved efficiency and comply with the ever-stricter emission regulations. The base model will probably retain the current mild-hybrid inline-six 3.0-liter engine, while the most powerful variant is rumored to get a BMW-sourced 4.4-liter V8. The most popular option will probably be the plug-in hybrid version, thanks to the combination of a gasoline motor plus a sufficient electric range for daily use. We also expect a BEV variant for the first time in Range Rover’s history, which could lead the popular series into the future following the imminent ICE sales ban in Europe.

BMW’s X range offers a wide variety to choose from. But if you are looking for a compact SUV, you can’t go wrong with the X1 or X2. Ranging from the compact X1 all the way to the X7 behemoth, there’s bound to be the perfect SUV for you. However, if you are in the market for a compact SUV, you would’ve likely narrowed your choices down to either the X1 or X2. Admittedly, the two smallest SUVs in BMW’s lineup do share a fair bit of similarities. But that’s only at first glance. Put them side by side, take a step back, have a good, long look and you’ll notice the core differences that set these two cars apart. The strong muscular one and its lean sibling The dimensions of the X1 and X2 are similar. Both are compact SUVs that are manoeuvrable and easy to drive. Two luxurious rides It isn’t just space that this pair of compact SUVs offer. Their well-crafted interior, in line with all BMW cars, are simply a joy to be in. Its boxy design hides its practicality. Americans love their crossovers and SUVs, but not every model is ripe for US roads. Hyundai’s smallest offering here is the Venue, but Hyundai offers an even smaller SUV cutely named the Casper. It’s smaller than the Venue, which explains its US absence, but a new video from the Asian Petrolhead YouTube channel gives us an up-close look at the tiny SUV. The Casper debuted earlier this month, revealing a small, practical crossover with a surprising number of standard amenities and safety features. The video highlights these, including the lane-keep assist, forward-collision warning, and high-beam assist as standard. The crossover’s design is youthful with its rounded headlights and grille treatment, with the swathes of black trim adding character to its otherwise boxy design. Short overhands accentuate its stubbiness, though its diminutive size doesn’t detract from interior comfort. The Casper in the video also has the model’s optional turbocharged 1.0-liter that produces 98 horsepower (73 kilowatts) and 126 pound-feet (170 Newton-meters) of torque. The stock engine is a three-cylinder naturally aspirated 1.0-liter unit making 75 hp (55 kW) and 70 lb-ft (95 Nm) of torque. The video highlights the Casper’s gusto, though it’s far from a performance vehicle, even with the larger engine. There are rumors of an all-electric variant, but don’t expect it to ever arrive in the US.

The conversion of the compact SUV was carried out by Coffee Latino, which specializes in such projects. The vehicle has a Chiffon Ivory Pearl metallic finish with Bluish Black roof and is nicknamed ‘Jimny Beans’. It will be used by the company for promotional activities in the UK, offering complimentary coffee at the venues. The conversion makes maximum use of space within the compact dimensions of the vehicle. The front passenger’s seat was removed to accommodate all the services required which include a 57-litre water tank with 3M filtration system to ensure the water is clean. A compact 12V drawer fridge manufactured by Waeco is also fitted which cools milk to -2 degrees Centigrade. At events, the vehicle can run on either gas or mains electricity with power inverter and has two additional large capacity 125A/H 12V batteries to assist with power if required. For gas, a LPG tank was installed in the limited space under the rear floor section which required a specially designed exhaust system with side exit pipe. And with its 4×4 drivetrain, the little Suzuki can also be taken off-road to camp sites or the beach for fresh coffee. The high specification coffee machine, manufactured by Fracino, is fully integrated into the rear section of the vehicle with an aluminium-topped work area and milled aluminium effect panel surround. It has the facility to serve two speciality coffees at the same time via its twin milk frothing units as well as central hot water dispenser for tea.

Hi everyone, I'm new here. Not sure if this is the correct place to post but I'm looking for a workshop to repair my Stonic 2019 model's front bumper grille above number plate (refer to attachment). Got chipped off after bumping into wall at carpark. Been to a few workshops at Ubi area but all told me no parts available. Was thinking of going back to C&C however the cost should be quite high. Appreciate any advice here. Thanks in advance! 😊

Quattro all-wheel drive, a turbocharged V6 engine, and plenty of tech make the Audi SQ5 a do-it-all option for luxury shoppers. It's not without faults, but Forrest Jones' SQ5 loaner certainly made an impression. Is this the best luxury compact SUV on the market? I think is a cleverly packed feature car for bankers and pilot. The Skoda Karoq will launch this May with an all-new exterior design, advanced driver assistance technology and four new turbocharged engines. Ditching the unique exterior shape of its predecessor, the Yeti, for a more conventional SUV body, the Karoq shares many features with the larger Kodiaq, which it sits below in Skoda’s line-up. The Karoq has space for five passengers and has a boot capacity of 521 litres or 1630 litres with the back seats folded down. This comfortably beats the car’s main rival, the Nissan Qashqai, which offers 430 and 1585 litres respectively. Built on the Volkswagen Group’s MQB platform, shared with models such as the Audi Q2 and Seat Ateca, the Karoq comes with a choice of five turbocharged engines, four of which are new to Skoda. The new petrol engines are an entry-level 1.0-litre TSI three-cylinder with 113bhp and 129lb ft and a 1.5-litre TSI with 148bhp and 184lb ft, with the latter enabling an 8.4sec 0-62mph time and featuring active cylinder technology. There’s a new diesel 1.6-litre TDI that produces 113bhp and 184lb ft while emitting just 118g/km of CO2, and a new 2.0-litre TDI that outputs 187bhp and 295lb ft, enabling a 7.8sec 0-62mph time – the quickest available. These new Skoda units are joined by a 2.0-litre TDI that’s familiar to the brand, which produces 148bhp and is the most fuel-efficient engine, offering 64.2mpg combined and outputting 115g/km CO2. The Karoq comes in two and four-wheel drive guises and with a choice of a six-speed manual of seven-speed DSG automatic gearbox. In higher-spec it comes with Skoda’s Drive Mode Select system, which enables the car’s drivetrain to be switched through Normal, Sport, Eco, Individual and Snow. Driver assist systems include a radar-based adaptive cruise control, blind spot detect and front assist, which includes automatic city braking with a pedestrian braking system. There’s also hill hold control to prevent roll back and emergency assistance, which can intervene if the driver becomes incapable of driving and adaptive cruise control and lane assist are on. In-car, technology includes gesture control for certain functions, wireless phone charging, as well as a mobile online connection that works with the infotainment. In top spec, the infotainment has a screen of up to 9.2in and three other displays, including a new digital instrument cluster that makes its debut in a Skoda. Skoda is yet to confirm pricing, but the Karoq’s expected to follow the brand’s aggressive pricing strategy and undercut the Nissan Qashqai, and therefore stick closely to the current model's £17,770 starting price. The Kodiaq, which starts at £21,565, is around £1300 cheaper than its main rival, the Nissan X-Trail.

This Coupe styled SUV is suppose to be even larger than the X7, and come with an unusual tailpipe layout... The first sighting of the sports activity vehicle to slot above the BMW X7 happened last year, basically confirming that the biggest of the X models is indeed coming. However, Bavaria hasn't confirmed its arrival yet nor has it confirmed that it will indeed be called the X8. Expected to become the new flagship BMW SUV, the prototype here was spotted at the Nurburgring. Despite the bevy of claddings and concealment to hide its design, there are several cues here that tell us that this isn't the facelifted version of the X7 that we saw recently. The front looks flatter than the X7, while the bonnet has prominent lines and the lower intakes have been reshaped. The headlights are positioned lower than the current X7, though this aligns the alleged X8 with the upcoming X7 refresh in terms of headlamp design – albeit the X8 isn't showing any sign of a split-headlight design. And yes, the massive kidneys found on the X7 will likely appear on the X8 as well, given the spy shots that you see here.
