  3. SINGAPOREAN filmmaker Jack Neo has been spotted with his wife in Taiwan in what appears to be a trip to patch up his marriage. Neo, who has been nicknamed "Singapore's Tiger Woods" by the media after reports about his alleged links to 11 women, was photographed holding his wife Irene Kng close to him while walking on a street in Taiwan.SIT to offer industry-focused Degree Programmes to Poly Grads Sin Chew Daily reported that Neo had travelled to the island for a discussion with a Taiwan-based Malaysian actor. It is believed that Neo is planning to make a Taiwanese version of I Not Stupid, his 2002 hit movie. Kng, who broke down during a press conference last month when Neo apologised over his indiscretions, also reportedly went to a night market in Taiwan with her husband. Neo apparently kept using his mobile phone to take pictures of his wife. They were also seen sharing a bowl of noodles at the night market, besides seeking shelter under an umbrella while walking in the rain, the daily said.

  14. This was my second visit to Tai Pei. The first was via a tour group. This time, I visited Tai Pei because there was a special exhibition in the National Palace Museum. A chinese called peng who went to Japan to play snooker and eventually stayed there and adopted a Japanese name, he at one time was the 13th richest man in Japan He left a lot of Buddhist artifacts to the Museum those who collect these buddhist artifacts should try and visit the museum as those I visited in Metropolitian (NY) and Minnesota are so so only. Even the curator of the museum, in not so many words, tell us so. The weather is beautiful except for a few showers. But the point of this posting is: Despite what we view on the TV about the violence in Taiwan politics, I was very very surprise by the gentleness and politeness of the public. At their MRT, everybody queue up in line, either they are in no hurry, they just move orderly I took the coach (airport) and was surprise by the taiwan passengers who thank the driver when they depart despite, the recession. taiwan certainly gave me a very good impression.

  19. Singaporean accused of embezzling 3 million US dollars from Taiwan Posted : Tue, 10 Jun 2008 15:06:02 GMT Taipei - Taiwan prosecutors on Tuesday charged a Singaporean with embezzling 3 million US dollars from Taiwan's diplomatic fund given to him to persuade Papua New Guinea (PNG) to drop its links with China and recognize Taiwan. The Taipei Prosecutor's Office has seized Wu Shih-tsai's two apartments and freeze his bank account in Taiwan after the Criminal Investigation Bureau (CIB) uncovered that Wu had pocketed 3 million US dollars from Taiwan's diplomatic fund, to buy two apartments with 2 million US dollars and put the other 1 million US dollars into his bank account. Wu faces two charges - embezzlement plus defamation because last month he claimed an armed man had threatened to kill him on a Taipei street if he did not leave Taiwan at once. "We checked tapes of street security cameras and did not see anyone threatening Wu. Wu confessed that he had lied to us because he wanted Taiwan police to protect him," CIB investigator Yang Hung-lin told reporters. The botched diplomatic scandal occurred in 2006 when Taiwan was seeking to launch diplomatic ties with PNG, an island state in the Pacific. http://www.earthtimes.org/articles/show/21...rom-taiwan.html Take US$3 mln liaoz still waiting to b caught..
