  6. Dedicating this thread to match day discussion. From prematch build-up, starting line-up and scoreline predictions, to in match stream share, to post match analysis. All fans welcome. My predicted starting XI for Liverpool away to WBA would be: (4-3-3) - Reina; GJ, Skrtel, Agger, Enrique; Gerrard, Lucas, Allen; Downing, Borini, Suarez. Rooting for a 2-1 away win. Stevie will captain us for the 250th times! Legend.

  13. Out of curiosity, do you usually talk to the stranger beside you on a plane? I was flying back from Sydney once from a business trip and chatted with this girl beside me. Asian but Aussie transiting to Singapore to go to Japan. Found her to be extremely intelligent and fun to chat with. Any other interesting encounters? You can share interesting airport encounters too.
  14. stand aside guys ... and be in awe !! I was waiting for a friend at katong area, and was walking pass the bus stop near the red brick house. as i was walking very slowly pass this group of 4 women abt mid 20s, i overheard them talking about - men's underwear !! btw, i had too much time so i walked slowly .... not that i wanted to eavesdrop. one was naming some of the expensive brands and the other one commented that it was all being worn inside !!! well, that was all i got from that 4 to 5 secs that i walked pass.
  15. How can anyone continue to drive on a highway whe they have their hood up making visibility almost/completely impossible? Well, this lady can...and she doesn't seem intimidated by it. In fact she doesn't want to stop, definitely in a hurry (maybe a hairdresser appointment). Probably the worst driver in New Hampshire
  16. this is what i feel, come flame me if u dont like honda = very very high insurance but quality is ok suzuki = low budget copycat car but still ok, money matters after all nissan = big big gap across models, u pay what u get, stupid obsession over suv mazda = always poorer engine compared to same class other brand, they cant make engine fullstop toyota = no comfort & quality, reliability is past tense, not cheap at all, no longer a budget car sub/mit = trying to catchup to honda but catch no ball, resale is like crap, fc is worst of all jap
  17. This year's election is supposed to be very exciting with strong opposition coming from all walks of life. I have been following the news everyday on online especially. But I realised something... The moment I step in to office, no one talks about it. Why....b'cos 90% of my colleagues are either on Employment Pass or Permanant Residents. They are the ones which our beloved ruling party has been embracing as Foreign Talents!!! Sometimes I really feel like I am working outside Singapore where we are the minority group.
  18. thinking out loud from a 3rd party perspective 1) Huge popularity of NS vs TPL (on facebook) 2) looking at the initial footage on nomination days, where PAP get jeers and opposition get cheers (very evident in marine parade) 3) many expressing discontent of policies being voiced out over the internet forums (like MCF) and other websites, compared to those who are pro PAP policies 4) colleagues around you expressing discontent and complain about the current state of SG and policies, (of course, there are those who appear nonchalant or pro PAP) Less everyone get carried away On May 7th.. will they put their words into action? Or will they vote for the current government PAP, due to 1) Afraid they will lose their jobs due to lesser opportunities as the top foreigners leave SG 2) For civil servants, the fear that it will hamper their progress and promotion 3) For existing home owners, afraid that their property price will crash 4) For people who qualify for the BTO and have not owned a home, afraid that they will miss out on the queue just because they voted for the opposition 5) For all our senior citizens who have supported PAP all these while and do not see the need to change as they have already benefited from the bite fo the property cherry 6) For those that simply do not care with their nonchalant attitude and thus they do not want change My hunch is still many people will still vote for the PAP, despite all the talk for an alternative voice that are being mentioned online Having said that, I will be happy to be proven wrong, keeping fingers crossed and see, vote wisely
  19. People should start seeing instead of just hearing. Interesting thing - in one single issue of last Sat's New Paper I saw at least 6 to 7 pages of money lenders, easy loans and even pay day loans from nice people like Amy, Fatty, Janet etc. So maybe it could be true that we are trying to help our low income Singaporeans. http://www.straitstimes.com/GeneralElectio...ory_657842.html http://www.straitstimes.com/GeneralElectio...ory_657834.html
  20. Voting opposition 'may cost you dearly': DPM Teo A TRUE FACT REPLY BY A SINGAPOREAN "real insurance policy"??? This policy has squeezed the freakin blood and crap out of me and my fellow Singaporeans, even during the financial crisis. Mr Ministers, have you seen the show "Under Cover Boss"? Try living on a salary of $2K, stay in a HDB flat, have 2 school going children, take the MRT/Bus to work (That is assuming if you have a job to go to) then you tell us. You get one wedding invitation you Sian already ah I tell you. And the way schools are run this days, its like a company. Performance of school is measured on how many "A" and how many passes the school got. So what happens? Within the first 6 months of PRIMARY ONE I got called up by the school, Errr Mr your daughter a bit slow ah, we recommend you get tuition for her. So what happens? Spend MORE $ on tuition. And the whole lot of you A Team are scratching your head wondering why the birth rate so low? Knock on the door of Mr and Mrs Lim, Tan, Ong and ask them what living is like for them. Bring more children into this world to suffer? We suffer is one thing, I definitely do not what to bring more children into this world to suffer under your TOP FORM A-Team. Ask for help? I did, "yeah yeah ok I appeal for you" One week later I get the reply "We regret to inform you....." My parting words in a quivering voice almost in tears to the MP before I left was Miss Minister, the next time in parliament please tell everyone present there "Your people are suffering" So try being a "Under Cover Boss" believe me it'll show you where all the problems are, no need to look at all your stupid reports and no need to listen to all your stupid boot lickers who only knows "YES, everythings fine!!!" You only need to listen to Mr and Mrs Lim, Tan and Ong and take them seriously.
  21. went down to talk to a car dealer on a car i want to buy. parked my car near the shop, a ah beng come walking towards me. i start to ask him i am interested in the car pointing to the car. then the super ah beng with gangster tone, no smile, not friendly but not rude, proceed to tell me is profile of the car. when ask the price, he quoted and i ask whats the best price, he say depends on what i can deal? i am puzzled, it is a simple question, just a answer i asking, i wonder why he need to give a 'depend' answer. so i tell him what best price you offer, if good, i cash deal you now. is there a procedure in talking to gangster ahbeng with zero customer service experience when buying second car from ah beng car shop?
  22. Hi all, anyone received call from this Worldex coy? They claim that all u need to do is to attend their 1.5 hr talk and u can get free travel packages. Sounds like one of those timeshare things. Office is Rolex center....

  24. Major govt dept with big budgets and talents. but they operate like fish markets. Not enough parkinig lots than start to build? Worst than buying grocery. When we buy grocery, we try to keep enough stocks. LTA over release COE in the past few years. HDB did not respond to build more parking lots. Like that anybody also can be gehment.
