I think most here don't cook, don't care what's in the kitchen but I'm sure u got go with wifey for shopping at least pay for the utensils they use to cook your daily food Wanna ask about this "magical pot".... those pot that u need to boil for like 10min, then keep in this thermos and it will self-cook... Is it good?? I mean, does it really works?

when they offer $500 a day to taxi driver... to stand-by 7am-11pm! and take only people from YOG... the meter is off for 2 weeks... i dont understand why still got taxi drievr take up the job??? from the news... say lot of people turn down.. if they offer higher then maybe can match the market... as all this merc per trip from airport is $45... and in 3 hour they confirm can have 4 trip which can earn $180... why still want to help YOG?

Local actress Zoe Tay has quit new Channel 8 drama Lost & Found, setting off rumours that she is pregnant again. The crime drama's production team confirmed this morning that the Queen of Caldecott Hill dropped out from the lead role of an undercover cop two weeks ago. She will be replaced by another veteran, Chen Liping. If the rumour proves true, the 42-year-old is expecting her third child. She has two sons, aged 5 and 3, from her nine-year marriage with Air Force pilot Philip Chionh. When contacted, her manager, Ms Ivy Loh, would only say that the decision is due to "personal reasons". She also said that the actress has not been feeling well recently, and has promised to explain her decision to quit in due time. According to Chinese tradition, a woman should not announce her pregnancy during the first trimester. Ms Loh added that Zoe is currently busy wrapping up filming for local breast cancer movie Love Cuts. The gossip mill is speculating that the actress is locked in contract talks, though the pregnancy claim is believed to be the reason for her departure from the drama. Zoe has previously mentioned on more than one occasion that she's looking forward to the "different" role of an informant and its action scenes. In the series, which also stars Rui En, she plays a well-connected hawker who's in fact an undercover cop. Executive producer of the serial, Mr Paul Yuen, commented that Liping is not a last-minute replacement. "We did consider her at the beginning, but couldn't confirm her as she was still filming Your Hand In Mine. "Both Zoe and Liping are well liked by the masses, so they're suitable for the role. I believe Liping will be right for the role," he added. Filming for Lost & Found is scheduled to begin mid-April.

Dear all, I just chat with another friend in MCF and he told me that Windows 7 doesn't take up as much resources as Windows XP or Windows Vista. Anybody can confirm this? Anybody here using the RC version already? Please post feedback. Thanks.

hi,iam looking for aircon for my house and need to know more about it. we all know that the inverter aircon can help to save our electricity bill,but is it really efficient? i asked around and was told that if i only use the aircon at night for sleeping,inverter is not really necessary as it does not saves alot of electricity. i was told it is only efficient if i ON it for more than 12 hours. any expert can help me? the price difference between inverter and non-inverter is about $1k. should i save up the $1k? thanks.

Read in the ST that the reason to charge 20 cent for using NETS is to remind customers that it is an expense...blah blah, this is simply outrages and no a brainer's reply in order to justify their action. Don't you forummers think so...btw i do not punt.

The other day I needed to pay a visit, so I found a public toilet that had two cubicles. One of the doors was locked so I went into the other one, closed the door, dropped my trousers and sat down. A voice came from the cubicle next to me: 'Hello mate, how are you doing?' Although I thought that it was a bit strange, I didn't want to be rude, so I replied: 'Not too bad, thanks.' After a short pause, I heard the voice again 'So, what are you up to?' Again I answered, somewhat reluctantly, 'Just having a quick poo. How about yourself?' The next thing I heard him say was - 'Sorry mate, I'll have to call you back. I've got some dickhead in the cubicle next to me answering everything I say."

I always think that there should be some time where we should perhaps stop paying too much attention to our ICE and start to enjoy the essence of music. Therefore, I am of the opinion to share some of my thoughts here, am not trying to provoke any heaty discussion here. So, please take some time to understand my point of views and reconcile if you are truly doing the same as what I am. What I would like to share over the next few paragraphs are simply the approach to enjoy better music. While there are many threads blooming now and then on solving ICE problems, reaching out for better system and configurations, I am wondering, if the whole essence of appreciating music still lingers in our mind. I have always love music, my wife says I fondle with my HU more than her...sounds familiar? I buy more CDs than lingeries for her, but that is true...who doesn't? Whilst my system is still in the process of running in to its potential, I chanced upon some well-kept CDs from my collection and started playing them in my car. I sense for the recreation of the ambience where the music was recorded, be it a room, a hall, a lounge or church. I appreciate each and every instruments accompanying the vocals, where they are located. I appreciate how each musician brings the instruments to life. I listen out for the passion each musician gives to the instrument, the notes and the whole music composition in totality. I look out for mistakes that musicians make and ponder if that was deliberate. I feel for a sense of liveliness in the particular record. I feel the energy the cello emits, the crisp of the piano on the right, the lazy percussion on the left and the bass at the slight left center. This is how I will describe some of my music appreciation, and the approach I make everytime I am given the chance to audition some of our members' car. I ask questions on how the CD is recorded, I ask details on the recording labels, from which I form a mental picture of how the track (regardless of familiarity) should sound like. I run through what my previous para has mentioned, that is how I appreciate my genre of music. What about you then, my friends? Are you truly enjoying the greats of the music (music appreciation), or are you simply chasing after something that will never have any ending at all? Let's pause for the time being and enjoy what you are having so far... Cheers and Merry Christmas!
