    Test 3

    hi all
  2. Look like 3 series, but not sure why they're camouflaged. The new G20 has come out last year. Anybody know anything? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O62BzQtFylE
  3. https://www.straitstimes.com/asia/east-asia/drunk-on-durians-chinese-man-fails-breathalyser-test-after-eating-king-of-fruits?xtor=CS3-18&utm_source=STiPhone&utm_medium=share&utm_term=2019-05-03%2013%3A05%3A36 'Drunk' on durians: Chinese man fails breathalyser test after eating king of fruits Police officers later carried out their own experiment in which an officer ate durian and underwent a breathalyser test. His blood alcohol level was found to be 36mg per 100ml, above the legal limit of about 20mg per 100ml.PHOTOS: SCREENGRAB FROM N.MIAOPAI.COM PUBLISHED 3 HOURS AGO FACEBOOKTWITTERWHATSAPPEMAIL Ng Huiwen A Chinese man who had an unlikely indulgence on a night out was captured on video desperately trying to prove he was sober, after he was pulled over by the police for suspected drink driving. The man, whose identity is not known, did not consume any alcohol but, to his surprise, failed his breathalyser test. A clip on Chinese news platform Pear Video later revealed that he had eaten too many durians. ADVERTISEMENT The man from Rudong county in the eastern province of Jiangsu was shown in the April 17 clip pleading with police officers. "I've just eaten durian!" the man said. According to Pear Video, the man went through a follow-up blood test which proved that he had no alcohol in his system. ADVERTISING Curious, the police department later carried out an experiment of their own. An officer measured his blood alcohol level after eating the fruit and found that the recording was 36mg per 100ml. The legal limit for blood alcohol concentration in China is 0.02 per cent or about 20mg per 100ml, according to the BBC. A couple of minutes later, the officer repeated the breathalyser test and a negative reading was shown. In the Pear Video clip, viewers were also warned against other kinds of products that could result in a positive breathalyser result, such as mouthwash and lychee. While some Chinese social media users were amused that durians could have such an effect, others wondered if the police had wasted their resources on such a minor incident. User LionHeartFY said: "The poor man did not do anything, but had to be injected by a needle and have a vial of his blood taken. I think they owe him a box of durians."

  8. Interesting, I wonder if it will work or cause more issues https://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/transport/system-to-give-buses-priority-at-traffic-lights-on-6-month-trial Public buses are less likely to get stuck in traffic in future, with a new system that can prompt traffic lights to change in the buses' favour. The Land Transport Authority (LTA) announced yesterday that it is carrying out a six-month trial of the Smart Bus Priority System, starting today. During the trial, which ends next April, services 98 and 99 buses are fitted with Global Positioning System (GPS) trackers, which transmit the buses' real-time locations to a back-end assessment system. As a bus with the GPS tracker approaches a traffic junction, the system will communicate with the traffic lights and prioritise its movement, if required, by either extending the green-light duration or shortening the red-light duration. For instance, if a bus that has been delayed by a traffic jam approaches a green light that is about to turn red, the traffic light will stay green longer to allow the bus to pass. This will also benefit other vehicles travelling alongside the bus. After the bus passes the junction, the timing of the traffic light will revert to normal. The LTA said the system, which has a similar concept to one already in place in Australia, is aimed at providing faster and more reliable bus journeys for commuters. It added that a total of 56 buses which currently ply the routes of services 98 and 99 will have GPS trackers. Services 98 and 99 ply Jurong East Avenue 1 and Jurong West Avenue 1 between Jurong Town Hall Road and Jurong West Street 42/52. They were chosen for the trial because both routes have multiple traffic-light junctions, which will enable the LTA to better evaluate the effectiveness of the system. At the end of the trial period, data collected will be analysed to determine whether the system can effectively complement existing bus priority measures - such as bus lanes, B-signals for buses at junctions and bus priority boxes - to improve bus journey times and reliability.

  10. Wanna hear your opinions. Cos lately been thinking of changing cars. Now when I say I wanna change cars, I can buy a new one tomorrow or talk about it for the next ten years without buying. You can reference my round the world trip that is 14 years in the making before I am finally going to do it. Anyway, I am wondering if I will be wasting the SE time by doing test drives on cars I might not buy. Or even visiting showrooms to talk to SE. Those of you who know where I work, I work near some car showrooms so I can drop there literally during lunch as it's a five to teh minutes walk only. Just wanna hear your views.

  16. In order to conduct emission testing of cars, car inspection centre rev your car engine pass the red line a couple of times and each time holding it for a good 15sec? Isn’t this abusing the engine?

  18. Come in and see multiple postings like this. Can the mods do something?
  19. Just curious, would you buy a car if the dealer doesn’t allow a test drive until you’ve signed on the dotted line? This is especially so for used cars. Sounds ridiculous
