Just got a new quote from Chartis. Inrease more than 20% ? Is this normal ? i never claim anything for all my driving years (touch wood). I used NTUC fews years back. But give up after their premium increase. That was why I switched to AIG (whcih used to offer reasonable quote until now Chartis took over) Any good recommendation ? I heard names like Aviva and AXA. Are they reliable ?

Folks, just wana check wif u guys that is it true that is not advisable to wait till empty then we top up petrol. Reason being the tank will oxidized n rust will form n in the end clog up n will ve to send engine for overhaul. Sounds logical but Im not quite convinced as in the manufacturer shld know about tis n a better material shld b used for the fuel tank. Can someone kind to clear my doubts? Becos of tis issue, my friend who drive a cng car worries as he only keep 1/4 tank of petrol as standby when cng runs low. He will try to clear the old petrol only once a mth and pump in new petrol n maintain 1/4 tank as standby again. Basically he works and stay near a cng station thus he hardly uses petrol. Another question is that is it alright for him to do in this way? Thks.

Hi, My ride is on 215/50/17 Falken 912. Its 1.5 years now and I find it noisy and its bothering me. I read the Bridgestone GR90 is great for quietness but the best price I can get is around $270 per pc (using 225/50/17 which is a close match to my original 205/60/16). Its a bit steep for me Anyone who has change frpm Falken 912 to something else cheaper than the GR90 and quieter than the 912 ? Kindly please recommend make and approx price. Thank you

Just wondering is it legal to sell petroleum or diesel along road side other than license petrol kiosk? I saw a truck,very frequently will stop by Toa Payoh to refuel a china-made bus.It's not the first time,definitely not going to be the last.His operandi modus is: 1)open his covered truck(his truck is those with covered bed) 2)pull out the nozzle,put into the bus behind it 3)close the fuel lid and put back the nozzle 4)go up his truck and collect money from the bus driver. is there legal issue here?None license truck carrying fuel and sell?

Can any bro explain why the exchange rate for RM$ here is better than in JB? I saw the exchange rate for RM$ at Eastpoint money changer this morn at $231.50 but when I went to JB City Square this afternn, it was $230. Strange rite, all along I thought the rate in Msia is higher. Is it due to the fact that there are too much RM$ in sg becos many Msian gambler brought them over to sg casino.

I find that the rear tyres of the right side tire pressure always losses more air faster than the rest of the tyres. The reason i say that is becos i need to pump more air into that tire everytime i pump air every 2weeks. The rear passenger is my 3yr of son with a booster seat. and Boot are nothing fill up with heavy stuff. Can someone advise? Thanks

just came back from the A&E. Had a bad accident and would like to seek some good advise of what i should do. what happen was around 1am.. was waiting for the opp. traffic to clear before i could make a right turn into my carpark. for no reason, saw a beam of light and lucky i hit my brake hard or my ride would be flung away. a trans cab speeding fast and hit my left rear. the collision send me flying to hit the steering wheel with my head. went blank for a while, open door and fainted. cab driver lifted me, can't remember much what he was saying also.. saw my left rear wheel came out. in short, the car seems only to have 3 wheels and everything was in such mess. complained of neck pain, rested on the floor. many people come talking to me, saying my ride need to be toll as it cannot move and stuff.. can't recall much then workshop and some 3rd party claim was made known to me. if i not wrong, someone from the passing-by told me to rest well while they will recover the car and do the necessary claim ambulance and police came, the next moment i was in A&E. TP called and ask for how many days of mc and stuff. was supposed to be warded but don't wanted to. was given 6 days of mc and told by the TP i need to make a report on coming monday. wallet was found with a handphone number. sorry, can't remember much as everything was in a flash and mind wasn't right.. if i not wrong, i am suppose to call the number later when i wake up. think to report or do whatever claim, believe this number should be from some workshop. would like to ask what i ought to do? for such accident, should i send my ride back to OEM? (wheel almost came out) sad.. rim is dented, rear is goner, color also out. pls advise

The Brackley based team used a motor home usually seen in the DTM paddocks in Spain, while the new structure was being put together for the first time in the Principality. The three-storey structure resembles a glass-fronted office building and can be seen on the team's official Twitter site. German reports say the motor home has been made at a cost of less than 2 million euros, compared with the EUR15m cost of Red Bull's Energy Station. While Mercedes and Red Bull's motor homes were already in Monaco, the first motor home to arrive from Spain on Monday morning was Renault's. Reportedly, the Enstone based team bought the motor home operated last year by the departed Toyota. Any one here first owner of your vehicle and have already driven more than 150k kms? Intending to keep your ride for 10 years? Pls share your maintenance schedule and tips. I should think most of you would have told the AD workshop to "up theirs" and found your own shops or diy. pls do share how you are keeping your car from falling apart! -

That should be the correct way to curb COE prices and reduce no. of cars on the road. Many rich mofos have more than 1 car and husband drive one, wife drive another, child drive another...... 3 cars occupy the road from just 1 family. So, there should be a surcharge for those who own more than 1 car. COE for 2nd car should be at least 500% higher and the same for road tax. 3rd car 1000% higher and so on. If they are rich and can afford 10-20 million for a car, by all means (very few of them so they don't contribute to congestion anyway). discourage people from owning multiple cars and clog the road. Allow gahment to earn more money also.
