  4. I think I know why this is so. The filled the oil all the way to the max level! That is why I felt my FC drop when using the 5W20 when it should be giving me better FC. Tien and even Arah complained FC drop with the new oil. The filled it too full. The side effect of too much engine oil is poor FC and loss of power. Ditto when they filled my car with CLTR 5W40. FC drop but returned when the oil thinned. A good level when new oil is put in should be half point between the full and min level but never at full. Why they filled max? I think this is old mechanic mentality. The old guard know that the engine oil will burn off and the level will reduce. This is not so with the new engine oils of today. Syn oil doesn't burn off. The dino oil of today are also very high quality and will be difficult to burn off as well.
  5. I keep getting yellow spots showing up on my car. I get them all day except at night. Doesn't really leave a stain but irritating to keep having to wipe it off the car. What are those anyway?
  6. I'm refering to those polishing tools that rotates. Are those using batteries or electricity? How do I get to start using it with? I would like to learn to do polishing of my car D.I.Y style, any tips on how to start, using what kind of wax and etc... ...
  7. Made the event somewhat worthwhile. The photos will be nice. Many Aveos showed up. Kinda makes you wonder why SA claimed in ST that the Optra is their best selling model because it is ASEANized. Anyway, the Optra is a really fine car after my test drive with it last week. Thanks to Nuke who showed up and showed everyone how the 1.5L SOHC is like and the supply of Kalos window visors. There are many late comers but it is great to see the turnout. Can't wait for the pictures. Anyone who wants to resize them can email them to me.
  8. Don't say I didn't tell you fellas there is some lobang elsewhere ah! Please note ah! No tires. I know Sgr3cer and someone else want to upgrade the Aveo's skinny 13s.
  9. an extract from the web: http://autos.msn.com/...px?contentid=4022457 Leaks What are those drips and puddles under your car? by Larry E. Hall There are nearly a dozen liquids that can leak out of your car. Only one type of leak is desirable and one other is of minor importance. Leakage of other fluids, however, can lead to an expensive breakdown if not corrected. Some leaks affect driving safety. Gases leaking from the exhaust system can let deadly carbon monoxide enter the passenger compartment. Air leaking out of a tire can create a serious handling problem. Of the liquid leaks, fuel and brake fluid are the most serious, windshield-washer solution the least. A puddle of clear water under your vehicle on a warm day is probably condensation from the air conditioner

  11. Hi guys some info on lowering suspensions. what to look out for!!!! Lowering Tips 1. Which general points should be considered when lowering a vehicle? 2. Why should the suspension system also be adjusted when tuning wheel/tire components? 3. What are the technical options at my disposal if I would like to lower my vehicle? 4. What are the benefits of lowering my vehicle? 5. What could be the drawbacks connected with lowering? 6. What type of lowering would be ideal for me? 7. What should I watch for when choosing a suspension system manufacturer? 8. What legal regulations come into play? 9. Can I lower my vehicle myself? 1. Which general points should be considered when lowering a vehicle? The chassis is one of the most important components in a vehicle and is first and foremost responsible for driving comfort, road-holding, and safety. Car manufacturers invest a lot of time and money to create the perfect chassis tuning. When modifying suspension system components, you must always make sure that the products are not only chosen based on costs and optics. Any modification, which deviates from the series chassis, is on the one hand a shift of the compromise between road-holding, control, and vehicle styling and driving safety and everyday usability on the other (please also refer to points on
