Angry couple thrashes fortune teller's stall 15 Sept 2011 Shin Min News A couple thrashed a fortune teller's stall outside the popular Kwan Im temple at Waterloo Street yesterday afternoon. The fortune teller, known only as a plump man in his 30s, had allegedly swindled the couple and had sex with the couple's daughter in a supposed exorcism. The Chinese couple (age 50s) has a sickly daughter in her 20s. They had gone to the famous Kwan Im temple to pray for their daughter's health and were approached by the fortune teller who offered his help. The couple was surprised when the fortune teller somehow knew that they have a sickly daughter. He told them their daughter was possessed by spirits and had to be exorcised. He offered to exorcise her at their home. After the deed, the couple paid the man a few hundred dollars for his "help", only to find out later from their daughter that she was made to have sex with him. The furious couple went back to the man's stall to confront him but could no longer find him. They resorted to thrashing his stall. The duo created a commotion as they overturned tables and chairs, then smashed the stall's altar and incense burner. Eyewitnesses say the couple was swearing loudly and the woman was heard wailing "You cheated our money and took advantage of our daughter!" No one went up to stop them from thrashing the stall. There are more than ten other fortune tellers in the area, many of whom say the missing fortune teller is a con man who knows nothing. The man has also been missing for the past few months.

Tell me how you feel. Despite waking up early, leaving home at 8am sharp. Reaches the train station at 8.10am and boarded the train at 815am but reaches raffles at only 910am. Sembawang > Raffles Train keeps stopping, not moving. (no announcement) Train idle for 3/5min per station. Train took 55min (almost an hr to reach raffles, i find it ridiculous) Really pek cek. Woke up early hoping and wanting to reach office early but end up late. Train also heavy taffic? Heavy Jam?

Today a bit frustrated. After pumped full tank at SPC Siglap, expected to be given additional $4 discount for the $90 petrol like last week, but was not given. Then found out that the discount only valid in SPC Bedok beside Bedok Stadium! Wasted $4. So if you pump SPC and stay in Bedok area, do pump at SPC Bedok to enjoy the $2 discount for every $40 petrol. Valid till end of April only.

Last weekend went JB for massage and groceries... when coming out of JB at the Msia Customs, kena stopped cos lots of groceries bags stuffed behind my sports car. The customs officer asked me to stop... and see that i have two bottle of milk powder and 1 oil start to choot pattern.... show me a sign saying that "milk products is prohibited to be exported without permit" because it is subsidized. So told me cannot bring into Sg.... or out of Msia... I wanted to challenge but dun wan to waste time he also ask me for some coffee.... i said bro ...I have no money .... already spent on dinner and massage... I only have 2 ringgit.... U know what? He took it ! Hahahahaha ... just beware ... he said Milk products, flour, oil (palm) ... all cannot

The carpark design at my Serangoon HDB estate is horribly flawed, with limited parking spaces for flats farther away from the main carpark. Residents have to share these few parking spaces with drivers using hourly parking. In addition to building additional parking spaces, there needs to be stricter enforcement of season-parking regulations. Many inconsiderate drivers who do not hold season-parking tickets use such spaces. There are times when I have to park nine blocks away, where the only available parking spaces are.
