  1. Hope civic owners will not get offended. but I was thinking... there're lotsa civics out there with eye lids installed. But why is it that no one actually thought of installing rear light-lids? I admit I didn't do a great job with the pic but its just an idea of what the rear could look like with lids. Don't get me wrong. I really like the whole design of the new civic. I just thought it would be cool if someone did something like this. its up to personal preference actually. If i had a civic, this is probably something that i would do. 2. Before I bought my car, always travel by BMW, Bus, Mrt, Walk. Sometimes's even take taxi. Sometimes in a hurry or in a rush, need to take a cab, there are no cabs around, kept cursing and swearing. I cant renew my passport on my free day cos no cabs...waited over 45 mins at the road side like a goondu. If i get a cab, some uncle dunno how to drive, jam brake, cannot have consistent acceleration, made me puke... have motion sickness. Taking bus or train, squeeze like sardine.. if u kena someone with BO is a painful experience. The worst is when they CRAWL, wah lau... the light is green, they will purposely wait for it to turn red, ^&%@$&*$@! Also the air-con blows directly over your head and sometimes it stinks, made me sick for a couple of days! Very stressful!!!!! So i kept telling myself in my mind... ok i am done with public transport, gonna get a car... a car, car, car, car........ Still taking train or bus then... So 1 day i finally got my car, down payment everything settled...... I notice something when i got my car, i still FEEL STRESS! Less money in the pocket, need to send my car for maintainence, after market performance.. but at least, i get to go places whereby it would be inconvenient without a car. My life changed, made some new friends, know more girls, WAKING UP LATER, no need to worry about going back late or where am i or would it be easy to grab a cab at the end of the day. Sometimes i dun feel like having a car.... HAHAHAHA
  3. Hi all, I am thinking of changing my car, and my shortlist: 1. Airwave w skyrook 2. Civic 1.8 Vti I have driving my current car for about 4 yrs, *finding all sorts of reasons to change*, although I don't really have a logical one My family loves our current car though. So abit "back-side itchy" lah. My shortlist for Airwave is of course the skyroof and it's looks, it's also easy on FC, road tax and insurance. However, my worry is about service/support from PI (touchwood, glass ceiling break how? $$$), or whether the skyroof novelty will die off on me. And at 70k, it's just so close from the better Civic 1.8 (73k). Civic is better in engine and all round build/handling (i think). However, it's after all a sedan. So fun-factor not quite there. No worries abt svc/support, but the tax and insurance will be more more ex. Or should I just save money and go for City Vtec (63k) (Vtec engine sporty right? and it has pedal shift) or Corrolla (60k) (value for money, reliable all round)? Currently I'm not considering other Brands cos I find the above few have better value (reliability & OMV) than others. Share your thoughts/opinions with me please. Cheers & Merry X'mas
  4. I have just realized this and also in part from our dear Tien's usage of 5W20 oil in our climate. If you frequently cruise at 3kRPM (around 110+kph). A 40wt oil is pretty good for you. If you frequently cruise at 2-2.5kRPM (around 80-90kph), a 30wt oil is pretty good for you. If you drive really really slow constantly stuck in traffic jam, short distance runs. A 20wt oil is good for you. If your car got 6 gears, woohoo! Can use 30wt oil for cruising at 110+kph because the RPM is lower.
