  1. Yoz. want to share something and also to see got any advice anot. yesterday night was second time i kana rear-ended at complete stop at traffic lights. let me share.. 6 months ago, a BMW rear ended me at low speed while i was at complete stop at cuppage. driver come out declare no damage. throw me a name card and refuse to show me driving licence. not one word of sorry. smelt alcohol on his breath. die die say i no proof cuz no damage. it was so dark and he insist no damage. refuse my offer of stopping at somewhere bright to thorough check and test reverse sensor. very aggressively ask me to drive off not to hold up traffic. I drove off and call police cuz he smell alcohol. end of story. yesterday night at jalan kayu i complete stop at traffic lights. many seconds later felt a thud. preg wife and 2 yr old baby inside. all ok lucky. went out and lady driver keep saying sorry and offered to give me hp number. to call her if anything wrong. keep saying sorry. i check again. again no dents. I took a photo of her driving licence and also her car plate and exchanged hp number and drove off. she very concerned about if my family is ok. now the thing is this. in daylight, i notice a half centermeters paint chipped off and a last finger fingernail size shallow dent at bottom of bumper. and when she knock yesterday, kopi spill on seat and carpet and cup holding console! I can live with the chipped paint( but metal exposed) and 1cm square dent. so if i am not repairing, i do not think i want her to pay anything. but kopi kana really caused me a lot of trouble and time. I pour a lot of water on carpet and seat but still smell of coffee... haiz... very bad situation. because of her poor driving skills i kana so much inconvinence and the "damage" she caused I will not be repairing so will not be asking her to pay anything. but since paint chipped and metal exposed, can i ask her to buy me a spot paint marker to cover the exposed metal in case rust? but like that like very petty hor? spot paint marker how much huh?

  5. Yahoo reports: Women connect with friends, men share opinions - gender differences online Differences between the genders may be just as pronounced online as some say they are in the real world, according to a presentation given by Helen Nowicka from research company Porter Novelli as part of London's Social Media Week. Nowicka gave a presentation titled "Men are from Foursquare, Women are from Facebook"; the report was also published on February 14 on the Porter Novelli blog. The report found several key differences in online social interactions between men and women. According to the report, while both genders are highly engaged in social media, women use it as a platform to "reinforce existing social connections" and "interact with friends and family"; men on the other hand are more likely to use it to share statuses and promote their opinions. Additionally women are more active on social networks than men, with 65 percent accessing social media "at least once a week," compared to only 51 percent of men. Women were also more likely to connect with people they know, with 93 percent using social media to read posts or view pictures and comment on a friend's profile; according to the report, 89 percent of men read friends posts and 84 percent comment on friends' profiles. The idea that men are more likely to use social media to broadcast opinions, according to the report, is reflected by a higher percent of male than female Twitter users -- 35 percent to 27 percent. Men are also more likely to be active on blogs; with more men (34 percent) than women (24 percent) actively blogging and more men (54 percent) than women (46 percent) seeking out other people's blogs to read. According to data from Experian Hitwise, Facebook, the world's largest social network, is more popular among women than men, with 57 percent of its traffic over the three months prior to February stemming from female users. hmmmmm............... no wonder more males in MCF then females.... quote : "men on the other hand are more likely to use it to share statuses and promote their opinions"...... sound familiar.
  6. Please list the above figure of your ride (now or previous) and see how the two figures relate? mine about 150hp per ton, 0-100 about 5s Note: actually Nm (ie torgue) per ton is more relevantly to 0-100 sec....?? but nevermind, just a casual comparison between power / acceleration.

  10. Hi all, First and foremost, my apologies if this question is a no-brainer but i'm really at my wits end. I recently installed Pioneer's DEH 9350SD in my ride and I'm very happy with the sounds coming from this HU. However, I've been trying to set the time/date on this HU and I've followed the instruction manual to the T but somehow, I am unable to set the time and date for this HU. In short, this is what I tried doing on the HU. 1) Pressed the manual control (the big round knob on the left of the HU) and it showed me 3 different 'headers' - 1) Function 2) Audio and 3) Entertainment 2) The time/date function is under 'Entertainment'. After choosing this function, it was the default display on the HU but tried as I did, I couldn't get to change the time and date. I'd really appreciate if anyone who is familiar with the 'how to' settings for the time/date function to help me with a step-by-step instructions, please. Many thanks in advance. Dex

  12. Nice video of the Toyota 86 / GT86 with compilation scenes from prototype testing, on the track, and pulling off some drifts and performance driving. Some nice homage paid to the Toyota Sports 800 and AE86 as well. Check the video I really think Toyota is making a good work promoting its new sports car...and think it will be a huge success. What about you?

  17. Kimi Raikkonen set for Formula 1 return after signing a two-year deal with Lotus Renault GP Lotus Renault GP have confirmed that former world champion Kimi Raikkonen will return to the Formula One grid next season after signing a two-year deal with the team. Back in action: Kimi Raikkonen won the F1 world title with Ferrari in 2007 Photo: AP By Emily Benammar 8:15AM GMT 29 Nov 2011 The Finnish driver, who walked away from Formula One at the end of the 2009 season in order to compete in the World Rally Championship for two years, lifted the F1 world title in 2007 while driving with Ferrari. Lotus Renault GP looked set to announce another driver after Robert Kubica last week said he was unlikely to return next season as he continues with his recovery from a near fatal rallying accident in February. Thrilled to be back on the scene, Raikkonen said: "I'm delighted to be coming back to Formula 1 after a two-year break, and I'm grateful to Lotus Renault GP for offering me this opportunity "My time in the World Rally Championship has been a useful stage in my career as a driver, but I can't deny the fact that my hunger for F1 has recently become overwhelming. "It was an easy choice to return with Lotus Renault GP as I have been impressed by the scope of the team's ambition. Now I'm looking forward to playing an important role in pushing the team to the very front of the grid." http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/motorspor...Renault-GP.html
  18. Car & Driver tests the M5 and gets a much healthier acceleration figure than BMW's own underrated 4.4 seconds (0 to 100 km/h) Here's a little comfort for M5 lovers who had to get a little defensive about the car's official 0 to 100 km/h sprint time of 4.4 seconds. Now, American car magazine Car & Driver has clocked the 2012 BMW F10 M5's 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) time at 3.7 seconds, which makes it competitive with rivals such as the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG (with performance pack). The F10 M5 also covered the quarter mile in 12.0 seconds. Complete results of the testing will appear in Car & Driver's December 2011 issue. BMW has a reputation for underrating their cars' performance values so it's not surprising that an outside test could wrench a "little" more out of the M5 than that official 4.4 seconds figure.
