Hi, may I know can you guys recommend a good place to duplicate a transponder key? No remote control requite, just the simple key will do. Was quoted by soxxi master at $180. Heard there is a one arm uncle at ubi that does key duplication. Anyone knows the shop name or has the contact?

BMWs and Range Rovers are particularly at-risk, police say, and can be in the hands of a technically minded criminal within 60 seconds. Security researchers have now discovered a similar vulnerability in keyless vehicles made by several carmakers. The weakness – which affects the Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) transponder chip used in immobilizers – was discovered in 2012, but carmakers sued the researchers to prevent them from publishing their findings. Happen to encounter this weird issue. Was at Bukit Timah along Dunearn road. I stopped by my car and tried to lock the car.......LED indicator did lit up but car did not respond. Tried many times from different angle of car......no difference. But when i tried unlocking button......car responded. Locked up my car using key first. After i left the place......the car key transponder works perfectly well for both lock and unlock. Anyone had such experience to share what's the reason for occurrence?

Saw my car key in the washing machine (left in trousers) after the wash is done. Back of my mind...I was thinking..need to pay a few hundred dollars for a replacement key liao. Went to test immediately. Surprisingly..works without any problem! I am seldom this careless but I had a similar incident with a thumb drive before and it worked too :)

Wanted to get extra transponder Toyota SMART keyless entry, 3 buttons type, lock/unlock/open sliding door. The type where I don't need to press any button to unlock my car door. Was quoted $580 for it from shop in turf city/toh guan. Seems rather expensive to me. Anywhere else that also sell original transponders?

My car comes with immobiliser and central lock. So there is no sound when locked and only a few flashes of the signal lights. I will like to install a 2 way LCD alarm. I was told that in order to install aftermarket alarm with the immobiliser, i have to install the transponder bypass kit.... My question is, how does this transponder bypass kit work? Does it render the immobiliser useless in order to use the new alarm system OR It just merge the immobiliser function with the new alarm system to work in harmony? Thanks!

Hi, Need help. Anyone got lobang where I could go and duplicate the magnetic transponder that usually put in the car and use to auotmatically access gantry (e.g. those of private estat, commerical buildings)? I have one but need to duplicate another...any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi Everyone, Today, I misplaced my car keys. I am now using my duplicate. I am worried that I may loose this duplicate with the keyless remote (transponder?). I am driving an Aveo. Where can I have this transponder duplicated. There was an advert in the ST recently of this service, but I did not keep the paper. Can anyone help? Thanks
