  2. hi guys, just sharing my encounter and letting off some steam, at the same time asking for some advice... went for ICT today and when booking out, realised my rims got some paint chipped off which i haven't noticed, initially thought it was carelessness when i went to spray my callipers but that was sometime back liao... upon careful inspection, i found that all my 4 rims kena and even 1 nut was missing from 1 wheel! 1 rim kena so bad that i don't think it could be me or the guy who sprayed my callipers cos he's very pro... drove around but not many shops open, went to autobacs but pricey and no designs i like so asked mechanic for a free nut in case my wheel fly off! Damage: Missing Nut: Before Damage: Think they are not out to vandalise as my car is fine, only rims damaged... clearly these people are amateurs lah, don't have the tools still want to steal, damaged liao also nobody wants what... Advice Needed: 1. where's a good place to repair rims? i only know sze kang.. 2. any recommendation where to buy new rims? Preferably one that opens till late as me on ICT for next 10 days... love this set of rims, thinking of repairing but will need to drive so most prob get another set. 3. any security system that can record video? besides new rims, i also want justice!!! My Own Advice: 1. In a carpark, park next to pillar close close so that wheel cannot be accessed. think that way won't be targeted for theft, vandalism bo pian lah! 2. If you love your rims, maybe can invest in those nuts which normal tools cannot unscrew. again, not foolproof as they may matching tool! My only console: my rims quite chio lah har, if not won't be targeted! My carpark got SLK, BMW, Golf GTi, Swift Sport, wondering if they got wheels to drive this morning man!
  3. Looks quite good. RE-01R seems more track with some street, whereas RE001 seems more street with some track. Anyone tried them? http://www.potenza-adrenalin.com/

  5. Has anyone tried both K&N and Simota stainles steel drop in filter and would like to give some comments/reviews? I know that have been many posts on air filters but just trying to find out from people who has actually tried both, thanks.
  6. Hi! Has anyone tried the new Turtle Wax ICE Liquid Polish? Suppose to be very easy to use. I am not looking at super duper ultra deep shine, just something that is easy to use. Will this be adequate? Or are there better products that are just as easy to use available readily in the market? Was previously on Glare but just too lazy / busy to keep going back...
  7. This product sounds interesting.. anyone tried before? is it good? http://www.autofoam.com.my

  9. Has anyone tried out ClixSense , a Paid To Click (PTC) website? Heard too many cases of SCAM regarding PTC sites. Out of curiosity, I registered and took a look at this (FREE of course, otherwise can't be bothered). After going through the site and the entire operating model, it does make some sense. Further checks on Google does not reveal anything fishy. In fact, someone has gotten the cheque from this US company. While surfing this evening, on and off go there to see some ads and clocked 3 ads. What do you think? Note: The link above has my referral id. If you register thru this link, I do get some referral benefits. If you do not wish to, pls click this http://www.clixsense.com instead. I do not want to get into any trouble of any sort. My post on this is not to earn but to hear from your opinion. Just feel it is too wasteful, might as well.

  17. I was enjoying my drive, cruising, something nice was playing on the radio the other day when it was abruptly interupted by a new IS250 tail-gating me on this "unmarked" stretched of road, I was just overtaking some cars on the overtaking lane, but he had to be so close to me and because of cars in the center lane I was not able to filter back to let him pass. Than of all things he starts to blink lights at me naturally I went faster as I saw an opening in the center lane for me to filter to let him pass, I was travelling quite fast already than. Than when I filtered he drove next to me at my speed........he must have wanted a race.
  18. looks like they give 5 yrs Comfort Delgro Part/Labour warranty...appreciate if anyone can provide some feedback/comments. Tks
  19. Product: http://www.smartautocare.com/sw-wax-16.html Weather was nice today and I finally had the chance to try Smartwax, I clayed the entire car but did not polish as that was done barely a month ago with Merzerna PO106FF. First impressions The product smells like bubble gum, Zaino users will be familiar with this scent. Its viscosity is just right, not too watery or thick, colour is striking bright pink. Usage I applied this product using a DA at speed 5 and polishing pad, product application was simple and mess free. Smartwax spreads very well and a little goes a long way, a few drips is sufficient to do two passes on the door, working time is nice as well. The product dries clear and is extremely easy to buff with no residue, even when applied thickly, it still buffs off relatively easily without any dusting, again I would like to reiterate buffing is really a breeze when applied thinly. Another plus point is it won't stain exterior trim and it does not streak. I tried applying a really thick coat on a panel and it did not streak, this is good as some people have the tendency to use more product. Results This product does have some cleaning power, watermarks, stains/spots and bitumen from a recent DIY soundproofing project were removed with ease, it does have some minor filling capabilities as well. The shine it leaves behind is warm and not 'plastic', I find this product some what like CarLack68 although its not fair to compare both with each other; one is carnauba based while the other is a sealant. For those who are curious, CarLack68 produces a wetter and more oily surface which some might find 'plastic' looking, it also streaks pretty easily if the conditions are not right. Another thing to note, Smartwax left a stain on the pad which can't be removed despite numerous washes with liquid detergent; this is not a big issue though. Final verdict Although priced at a premium, this is definitely a good product. Although meant as a all-in-one product, it preps and leaves behind a nice clean surface for the LSP. In fact, I'm planning add a layer of CG ButterWax if the weather holds up tomorrow. http://us.st11.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.com/I/yhst-59901388741158_1923_3551109 Product dries clear Evidence of its cleaning abilities, picture taken after application on entire car Pad stained by Smartwax, no big issue though http://img168.imageshack.us/img168/4841/dscf0117uo8.jpg/img]
  20. [inline P1000337.JPG][inline P1000330.JPG][inline P1000326.JPG][inline P1000318.JPG]My friend had some leftover Zaino and asked me to try. It was just a tiny little mixture of Z2pro mixed with ZFX. First i washed and Claybar the whole car. and then layer a very thin coat of mixture over the whole car and buff off. Do this 3 times in total. At the end of the exercise still had a lot leftover so used it on my rims. Must say i am very impressed with Zaino. In one of the photos, you will see a small bottle of the mixture.. that was all i need to spread it on the car 3 times. Tried Sonax last week which i posted in the sonax thread, but im more impressed by Zaino's smoothness and shine.

  24. I have already searched a few ICE forum but can't find any one talking about those shops along bukit merah opposite old safra building. I already got a set of component, subwoofer, amp and pre-amp....just need to find someone to install and tune for me at affordable price. Due to my busy schedule, will be good if the shop is near my workplace, around redhill and depot area. Any recommendation?
