  1. This situation almost turned very gory. Watch the video to see why. What happened? A motorcyclist at the junction of Jalan Buroh and Jurong Port Road had the bright idea of stopping in front of a heavy truck, and nearly lost his life because of it. The motorcyclist was likely in the wrong lane for the direction he was heading, as he decided to rectify this by going right and stopping right in front of the truck. This was already an accident waiting to happen. My anxiety could never. And wait they did, as the video cuts to show them being the only 2 vehicles on the road. Soon after, the truck made its move. WIth almost disastrous results. The motorcyclist was knocked down, and his head was under the truck. In a miraculous stroke of luck, his head was knocked back by the truck’s wheel. Bro must have 9 lives for real. Likely driven by adrenaline, the motorcyclist was able to quickly move out of the truck’s wheels. The truck driver stopped and opened the door, but we cannot hear anything they said, if any words were exchanged. We do not have information on the status of the motorcyclist, or if the truck driver indeed missed him before moving. Online chatter The comment section is pretty unanimous in how it is the motorcyclist’s fault for stopping in the truck's blind spot ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. 2. TL;DR - Garbage truck loses control and crashes into traffic light while almost taking out a pedestrian This is exactly why you should never use your phone while crossing the road! Watch this 60-second clip to see how vigilant the pedestrian was (phew, thankfully) What happened? On April 16, a Sembcorp garbage truck lost control and caused an accident along Ganges Ave. One pedestrian narrowly avoided the collision. SGRV’s Facebook page received dashcam video of the incident, which showed a white garbage truck veering suddenly at a traffic light. The truck slammed into both the traffic light and the divider. A woman crossing the intersection managed to see the approaching truck and quickly sprinted back to the side of the road for safety. Online Chat Can’t imagine if she was distracted by her phone and whatnot… Gosh. Many netizens were commending the pedestrian, not just for her fast reflexes but also how vigilant she was. While the rest were bashing the truck driver. Of course. Is this Terminator in action? Perhaps Sembcorp should terminate him lah… Takeaway Always ensure that vehicles are stopped at the stop line and look out for traffic before crossing the road. You'll never know what goes on behind the wheels. ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. 3. Cyclists are a menace on our roads and will continue to be one. Nuff said. It is almost impossible for cyclists and motorists to co-exist and share our roads safely. Here's why: What Happened? 3 Clowns clad in their spandex cycling attire decided to tailgate and draft behind a freight truck to reduce their drag and achieve enhanced aerodynamics on West Coast Highway. Yes, you read that right - BEHIND A FREIGHT TRUCK. And not that it changes anything, but the three cyclists were cycling in lane two instead of keeping to the left-most lane LOL. To be frank, it doesn't seem very dangerous...until the truck has to perform an e-brake for some reason. That's when matters will take a turn for the worse. There is an exceptionally high chance that the cyclists would rear-end the truck, either because of: 1) their inability to react in time due to the mere 1-second distance away from the truck; and/or 2) the bicycle's braking capability. Netizens' Comments Wear helmet already really cannot think one. #Truestory Not surprised if they do this LOL. Couldn't agree more! ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news, and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. Join us today!
  4. Why sports/performance cars are called sports/performance cars is pretty self-explanatory — they are either fast on a straight line or possess superb handling abilities. And these cars are pretty impressive...until a d0uchebag driver gets behind the wheel of one of these cars. Watch it here: What Happened? The driver of a Mercedes-Benz CLS63 thought it was a good idea to cut into the path of a heavy vehicle while joining into the main road. And he did so by literally "crawling" into the truck's path. As the German coupe was in the truck's blindspot, the truck almost t-boned the coupe if not for the kind cam car driver who intervened by alerting the truck driver with a honk. Immediately after hearing the honk, the truck driver slammed onto his brakes, came to an abrupt halt, and avoided colliding with the CLS63 by inches. The Middle Finger It was apparent that the Mercedes knew what he did was wrong and decided to test his luck by entering the main road despite oncoming traffic. After the cam car sounded his honk, the Mercedes coupe stopped in the middle of the road and pointed a big fat middle finger out his driver's side window. NGL, that's a unique way of "thanking" someone🥴 Netizens' Comments LOL FACTS. Yes, not all honks are aggressive/bad. Sometimes it's just a friendly honk or a honk to warn you/others of the surrounding. Yessir, the cam car driver definitely dropped this 👑 ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news, and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. 5. Camera footage has caught the scene of an insane 9 vehicle collision along the AYE. Consisting of SBS buses, lorries and trucks, all heavy vehicles. Watch the video for yourself below 292803191_725505348710288_827111803812174092_n.mp4 Hmmm I wonder what caused the root of the accident, perhaps one of the heavy vehicles jammed their breaks and the rest did not have sufficient time to follow suit? But, that would mean that 9 vehicles were tailgating one another! An SCDF ambulance was also caught seen on the road, perhaps to try and rescue and potentially injured individuals. Netizen Comments Netizens chime in with their own take of this shocking situation, many of which accusing the vehicles of engaging in ‘tailgating’, which is the act of driving too closely behind the vehicle, resulting in this chain collision No matter, I do hope that everybody involved in the accident is safe and did not sustain any permanent injuries. ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. 6. The following incident took place along the causeway between Singapore and Malaysia. And needless to say, it was absolutely terrifying. Watch it here: What Happened? The incident reportedly occurred on the JB towards the Singapore side of the causeway. A Malaysian cargo truck lost control before ramming through an entire causeway worth of vehicles stuck in traffic, almost resembling a Grand Theft Auto gameplay. As a result, numerous Singapore and Malaysia vehicles were damaged, including a Singapore-registered Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X. NGL, it breaks my heart to see an iconic JDM sports car get wrecked by the Malaysian truck. The Big Question Now, for the big question that has been on my mind since I watched this video. How on Earth are all those parties involved in the accident going to claim for their damaged vehicles? And also, I am guessing those Singapore-registered vehicles involved in the accident would have a hard time claiming their insurance, considering that the accident occurred outside of Singapore. Regardless, this unfortunate incident brought a massive headache and a ton of inconvenience for everyone involved. And hopefully, everyone involved in this massive accident are doing alright🙏 Netizens' Comments It is gonna be catastrophic. Damn, right it is! True dat! Regardless of what happened, it is important to count your blessings. ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news, and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. 7. Due to the pandemic, ERP charges were suspended for some time. With the pandemic under control, ERP charges have been reinstated with a heavier price...literally! And for this group of motorists, they decided to pull a stunt to save the extra dollar: What Happened? A group of local and Malaysian motorcyclists, in addition to a pair of heavy vehicles, decided to pull up at the shoulder of a slip road towards an expressway to save themselves a couple of dollars by avoiding ERP charges. As the heavy vehicles were oversized, they obstructed the path of other motorists entering the expressway and slowed traffic along the slip road. The cam vehicle travelling on the slip road towards the expressway was undoubtedly frustrated at the inconsiderate acts of these individuals and blasted his horn at them while driving past them. Back in those pre-pandemic days, waiting at the road shoulder for the closure of an ERP gantry was a relatively common sight, especially in places where ERP charges can be as costly as $3 per entry. However, this trend died down when ERP charges were suspended due to COVID-19. Now with ERP charges back in operation, would we witness more of these inconsiderate acts? Netizens' Comments Quite a savage comment if you ask me😰 No thank you, sir! Avoid ERP charges, just to kena summon😐 ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news, and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. Join us today!
  8. Any Bros or Sis know where I can get used Truck/Tractor tires (Any huge tires) in SG?
  9. While we don’t know what type of influence the driver was under in this accident, it definitely was not a good one. At around 8pm on Saturday (Jan 15), a driver spotted a Volkswagen Jetta driving diagonally in its lane on the AYE. Situated on the right lane, the silver car struggles to maintain its position in the middle of the lane. The vehicle veers slightly to the right now and then, with the driver attempting to correct its direction. Seconds later, disaster strikes as the Jetta veers too far to the right, hitting the road divider of the expressway. The impact of the hit sends the car flying forward, pushing it in the opposite direction. The car flies across 3 lanes and makes its second hit with a large white truck. Both vehicles come to an immediate stop in the middle of the expressway as the cam car drives away. What happened? While there has not been a statement on what happened with the Jetta driver, netizens were quick to offer up their theories. #1: Driver was sleepy The most popular theory was that the driver was too sleepy. Netizens had noted that right before the incident, the car was already constantly veering towards the right of the lane. This could signify that the driver could have been falling asleep at the wheel. Some even shared their personal experiences and anecdotes about driving while being exhausted (which is not something you should do!). #2: Driver was drunk The second theory was that the driver could have been drinking before this incident. Again, netizens related the shaky driving before the incident to the influence of alcohol. They reasoned that there was no way a driver would drive in the first lane if he knew that he was tired beforehand. On the other hand, if one had been drinking, the driver could still take the first lane if he felt fine (despite his judgment being impaired). #3: Driver was distracted The last theory was that the driver could have been distracted by his phone. In this scenario, it would make sense that the Jetta was driving in the first lane as the driver was physically okay. He could have been answering a call or texting – something that some of us are guilty of doing when we are on the expressway. While we don’t know for sure which of these theories are true, the fact is that a driver should not be on the road if he is exhausted or has been drinking. 10. Does this truck driver even have a proper license? There seems to be a high influx of road accidents recently, with a majority of victims being motorcyclists. In this baffling video, a motorcyclist appears to properly form up after noticing the stationary camcar at a traffic junction. Riding in front of a large truck, the biker starts to slow down. To his dismay, the truck behind him fails to brake in time and continues travelling at a high speed. This leads to a series of unfortunate events as the truck hits the motorcyclist, flinging him off his bike before crashing into the stationary camcar. Luckily, the rider manages to avoid his death after the impact as he immediately stands up and throws his hands in a "WTF?" manner. The biker then walks to the front of the road, where the truck supposedly should be. Upon witnessing this shocking accident, other drivers got out of their vehicles to help the motorcyclist and his bike. Truck had a trade plate The video description states that the truck carries a trade plate, which is a temporary number plate for unlicensed vehicles. It is a possibility that the vehicle could be new and have yet to be registered or it's just being brought for testing on the road. An eerily similar incident in Malaysia Many were quick to point out that this accident was eerily similar to one that happened a few days ago in Malaysia. Just like the motorcyclist accident, a tipper truck was unable to stop as it approached a junction filled with stationary vehicles. As a result, a yellow taxi in front of the truck was completely crushed and several other cars were pushed off the road in a serious chain collision. Netizens' reactions Is this just a mere coincidence or is there something more to both of these accidents? -------- Thinking of selling your car? sgCarMart Quotz guarantees the highest selling price for your car. 11. So a quick disclaimer before we continue - We don't know what might happen after the Traffic Police gets alerted to this video evidence, or they might have even stopped the truck driver after the video got cut off. But what's happening in the video seems rather peculiar. Shared on SG Road Vigilante's page is this video of a Malaysian truck doing more than 90km/h on lane 1 on PIE heading towards Tuas on the 22nd of February 2021. Sometime later in the video, the Traffic Police closed in in their car and it looked like they had the intention to notify the Scania truck of its offence. Naturally, most of us would go "haha the truck sure get it from the Police!" but no, nothing happened! What a miracle for the truck driver. But, as I mentioned at the start of this post, the Traffic Police might act after watching the video. It's a little too early to celebrate yet Mr Truck Driver. Here's what some netizens had to say about the matter. What do we think? Well, if he got off without any punishment, he should consider himself lucky and not do it again.
  12. This cute, 24-second video could have turned horrific in a heartbeat. What dog? In this video, we see a man chasing his dog across the road. I’ve tried to identify the breed of the dog, and it looks like a Maltese or a Maltese mix. Image by orvis.com The playful dog prances around its owner evading capture. Under normal circumstances, this would be a cute scenario (watching the helpless owner failing to catch the dog and even falling on the road is quite funny). Enter truck But then, the dog, oblivious to traffic, almost gets run down by a truck. The truck manages to swerve out just in time and saves the pooch from doggy heaven. What the people say Yes owner. Get a leash.
  13. So, I chanced upon a video posted on ROADS.sg Facebook page with the caption: "Posting as video witness. Lorry driver changes lanes without signalling or checking blindspots, causes Pizza Hut delivery rider to slip and fall to avoid collision. Wishing rider speedy and full recovery. Happened along Thomson Road on 12/01/2021." My first thought: What exactly is it about turn signal / indicators that makes them so difficult to use?! Whenever an incident occurs, only the first party would know what exactly happened, however, some Facebook users felt that the lorry driver wasn't in the wrong: Indeed, when you take a closer look, it does seem like the slippery white line on the road might have contributed to the Pizza Hut delivery rider's loss of control of the bike. Whether the delivery rider fell because of the slippery road conditions, he was forced to react in a split second (likely after a long tiring day of riding in the rain)to save his own life, all because the lorry driver didn't felt the need to use his signals. At the end of the day, we should always be considerate on the road, nobody can read your mind, if you want to make a turn or lane change, is it really that much to expect everyone to use their signals?
  14. Now we bet the the driver of this truck will be regretting really hard about driving after having some drinks. Spotted on Beh Chia Lor's Facebook page and some of our Whatsapp group chats, is this video of a trailer truck crashing into an HDB block at Block 152 Yung Ho Road. It happened on 16 Nov 2020. Thankfully, the tree that the truck knocked down managed to stop it from crashing into one of the first level HDB unit. Rest In Peace, tree... The truck driver has since been arrested for drunk driving. Netizens' comments were naturally not kind to the truck driver... 34c5433d-4976-4664-8e03-ca6af42dface.MP4
  15. I encountered an incident where I came across this driver in distress at petrol station. His rear tyre punctured, he tried to change tyre himself but he's unable to take out the tyre for some unknown reasons. I tried to help him by trying to call for tow truck to tow car to a tyre workshop This incident happened in pasir panjang road. I also dun know the nearest tyre shop the, except alexandra village. But this incident is at 6.30pm. But I realised I got no tow truck contact! Anyone know any tow truck contact? I realized if i'm the one desperate for help, I will be stuck like that driver.
  16. Bro Mustank, specially for you. Since it is from MB, sure got Diesel option. Daimler's Mercedes-Benz arm continues the development work of their first mid-sized pickup truck and our spies were there to catch them in the act. Just like the Renault Alaskan, Mercedes’ new pickup truck is based on the underpinnings of Nissan’s NP300 Navara and will reportedly enter the market under the GLT moniker, starting from 2017. The car you see in the photos is a test mule still carrying a lot of the Nissan’s body panels but we can clearly notice the wider front and rear wheel arches. Unlike other re-badged examples we’ve seen, the GLT is being developed and designed solely from Daimler to meet the specific needs of its customer base in Europe, Australia, South Africa and Latin America. The company gave us a good idea of how the final car will look like by releasing a teaser sketch image last year, along with the promise of high levels of utility combined with “the comfort, safety, and design of a Mercedes-Benz passenger car”. Mercedes still considers offering their new pickup in the US and if they do, the GLT will probably be made at Nissan’s factory in Mexico to avoid tarrifs. The company is also going to build it in Renault’s Argentinian facilities and at the Nissan plant in Spain for the regional markets respectively. Expect a range of four- and six-cylinder petrol and diesel engines, with entry-level models getting a six-speed manual and the rest a seven-speed automatic gearbox, with power sent to all four wheels permanently.

  20. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xrYRjV1ijvAThe Red Bull-sponsored Kamaz 4326 is arguably one of wildest racing vehicles on the planet. The 20,000-pound truck has a 1000-horsepower 16.2-liter turbo-diesel V8, 16 forward gears, and enough torque to tear down a building. After winning the Dakar rally back in January, the Kamaz is back for some high-flying snow-filled action. Red Bull released a promotional video yesterday of the Kamaz being driven by 2013 Dakar Rally winner Eduard Nikolaev through a snow covered northwestern part of Russia for some shakedown testing. For the 4326, that means a whole lot of airtime. Thanks to the truck's 11.8 inches of suspension travel and huge spiked ice tires, it's able to launch off snow jumps and drift around frozen corners with ease. Sure, this video is just an advertisement for Red Bull to sell more energy drinks, but it's just too cool not to share. Watch for yourself as the diesel-powered behemoth takes flight over the frozen landscape.
  21. http://youtu.be/fmnABODVFl0 This guy on the bicycle must be thanking his lucky stars to escape unscathed from this accident. This aside, looking at videos on youtube, russian and chinese drivers are insane!
  22. http://tw.youtube.com/watch?v=OlLC1Iy1UkE&eurl Is this possible?
  23. My mum was blocked by a car traveling in the opposite direction so that they could take a parking lot. the arrow shows that the car is coming from opposite direction. What was infuriating was the stare of the driver n occupant when in the process. However this was at a HDB carpark. would submitting to traffic police work? Do they govern carparks, I reckon so coz it is technically its still public roads? I have never made a report like this before. I could send the vid to the tp once i figure how to cut the long clip. thanks in advance for any advise.
  24. Bros and Sisters out there, anybody have lobang or contacts for fox suspension system for trucks? Many Thanks
  25. But why is it that the TP not doing his job? What if a motorist falls because of the debris? And it was not only one TP, there is another one coming from behind on a big bike but was not captured in my cam. Maybe i am wrong, is the LTA's job?? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zp9qnHTZMyA
