  1. Was traveling along Paya Lebar road this morning and saw this dump truck beating red-arrow light. He has waited at the junction for light to turn green to do U-turn. And obviously lost his patience and commit the offense. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZcuDhrhgGqA Have email the video to TP. Waiting for reply. For those bros that have installed Carcam, hope you can do your part by reporting traffic offense, so to keep our road safer.

Just now at 11.30am saw a trailer truck transporting some long and bulky construction materials making a left turn from Sengkang East Ave to Sengkang East Drive towards Upper Serangoon Rd/KPE when everything came crashing down onto the grass patch, damaging the roadside kerb. think the items were not secured properly! TP and crane now at the scene. lucky never hit any people or passing vechicles. that area now got a lot of constructions going on
  5. If you are a fan of or have played the video game series Halo, then you will recognise the vehicle you see here. It is known as the Warthog (a.k.a the M12 Light Recon Vehicle) and it is like a crossover between a dune buggy and a huge truck. This real life version of the Warthog was commissioned by 343 Industries (the company that made Halo 4) and they engaged a Los Angeles based marketing company to build it. Franchise development director at 343 Industries, Frank O' Connor, mentioned that the company wanted to really build something that people could literally see, touch, reach out and enjoy. O' Connor managed to persuade the marketing department to approve his team's idea and budget. And they engaged Antenna to make the Warthog into a reality and the budget figures ran into the hundreds of thousands. Pat Devereux, chief executive of Antenna, stated that 343 Industries sent him an enormous amount of data for the Warthog. Devereux then took the data to Aria Group; who was responsible for actually building the vehicle. Aria Group is known for building numerous concept vehicles for automakers such as General Motors, Honda and Kia. The company took around six months to build the body to the exact specifications and appearance, including the fake heavy machine gun at the back. Beneath the body lie the chassis, engine and transmission from a Hummer H1. It has a 6.5-litre V8 diesel engine and a four speed automatic gearbox. The Warthog's top speed has been limited to 25 miles per hour (40km/h) and this was done for safety reasons. There are only two differences between the real life and digital versions of the Warthog. The digital Warthog has four wheel steering and this would be too costly for the company to incorporate it into the real life version. The real life version is also around twelve percent smaller than it would have been if the company had made it to a 1:1 scale. Despite this, the 7200lbs (3265kg) Warthog makes almost every other vehicle look small. The Warthog will make appearances at the Electronic Entertainment Expo and ComicCon later this year. Buyers with a huge bank account may possibly buy one as Aria Group is in talks with Microsoft to license the production of the Warthog. Image credit: David Undercoffler / Los Angeles Times

  7. Source: AsiaOne Photos: The New Paper, Lianhe Wanbao, Patrick Loh A lorry driver crashed into railings, a traffic light, three vehicles and a road sign at Choa Chu Kang Way, before assaulting an SMRT bus driver who had honked at his stalled vehicle which was blocking traffic on Monday (Oct 22). The mayhem began Monday morning, after the 53-year-old male driver apparently lost control of his lorry and veered left onto the pedestrian pavement at Choa Chu Kang West flyover and knocked down part of the railings, witnesses said. Then, as it moved along the pavement, it knocked down a traffic light at the cross junction before hitting two cars and a taxi travelling towards Kranji Expressway. Two of the vehicles were badly dented, but instead of stopping, the driver made several attempts to reverse his lorry back onto the road. After he drove off, the lorry took down a huge road sign along Choa Chu Kang Way. He kept going until the junction of Choa Chu Kang Way and Choa Chu Kang Avenue 3, where the lorry stalled. His trail of destruction covered about 500m of Choa Chu Kang Way. By then, the SMRT bus driver had found his way blocked by the lorry. The 47-year-old at the wheel was driving an off-duty bus, said an SMRT spokesman. The lorry driver, believed to have been agitated by the honking, went up to the bus and allegedly attacked the bus driver, Lianhe Wanbao reported. When SMRT's Bus Operations Control Centre (BOCC) was informed of the assault, the police, an ambulance, and SMRT- 's Field Team were summoned to the scene, the spokesman added. The police were alerted about the five-vehicle incident at about 7.50am. The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it sent two ambulances to the scene. Both drivers were taken to the National University Hospital. The bus driver had suffered head and facial injuries, while the lorry driver complained of lower back pain. Engineer Patrick Loh, 37, one of the drivers involved in the accident, said his red Toyota Altis was the second of the three vehicles hit by the lorry. His girlfriend, who was in the front with him, was shooting a video of the collision between the lorry and a black car on the lane beside them when the lorry hit their car. Fortunately, they escaped unhurt. Said Mr Loh: "When it happened, the thought that came to my mind was 'I'm lucky'." But the front of his car was badly dented and had to be towed away. Retiree Cheng Peng Onn, 59, saw the aftermath of the accident. He was taking a walk with his wife along Choa Chu Kang Way when he came across the carnage. "The lorry driver looked a little 'blur', like he was unable to focus," Mr Cheng said. The retiree said the driver spent a long time on the bus with the police. "It took a lot of coaxing by the police officers before the lorry driver finally agreed to come down from the bus and get into an ambulance," he said. This is not the first time an accident has happened in the vicinity. Teacher Ken Kor, 38, who heard about yesterday's incident from his wife, said he witnessed another accident there three days ago. "Although there are traffic lights along Choa Chu Kang Way, drivers still speed. This happens when traffic is light," said Mr Kor, who lives in a nearby block. A police spokesman said the lorry driver was later arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs. SMRT is assisting the police with the investigations.
  8. Look at this truck, how blatantly beating the redlight...its not like not stopping but purposefully going around the stationary car to go through after red light cme on for like ~4-6 sec.
  9. How often do you find a vehicle road-hogging because the driver is on the phone and using one only hand to steer the wheel? How often do you find vehicles cruising in a zig-zag manner because the driver is on the phone? I do have many encounters with them, and seriously, many are truck and lorry drivers. I think they just do not have the habit of using hands-free set. One day I was riding in my colleague's car and happened to see a truck driver using handphone while driving, so I took pics of him and truck, just found the time to send them to TP. I know many people would say I'm too kaypoh but I believe if we try hard enough, we'll have safer roads in SG. [att achment=70779:20120712_130603.jpg] Dear Officer, I wish to report traffic violation by driver of YN511Y on 12th July about 1.05pm. He was using handphone while driving. He was at the T-junction of Ulu Pandan Road and Clementi Road, waiting to make a left turn from Ulu Pandan to Clementi. I was a passenger in a car on Clementi Road, waiting to turn right onto Ulu Pandan Road. I've taken several consecutive shots of this vehicle and driver, which I attach in this email. I hope actions will be taken against this errant driver for the safety of other road users. I'm willing to support your investigations in any ways necessary. Reported by

  11. my friend was driving to work on monday morning on the highway and was travelling on the fast lane (rightmost). there was this truck transporting sand and rocks which was travelling on the leftmost lane, just infront of my friend's car by a bit. by a stroke of fate, a huge rock fell off from the truck and rolled 3 lanes to the right and so "zhun" ended up infront of my friend's car when he was still going straight and my friend's car rocked as it went over the rock and then stalled after about another 20-30 meters !! by that time, the truck had already gone and my friend was unable to get anything to identify the truck. called for a tow-truck and then pulled the car to the workshop. bill for repairs : $1600. (own pocket). yesterday, then ask me "where to get a reasonably priced and effective car-cam" ?
  12. I was overtaken by a 20ton moble crane at Lornie Rd (he was going fast on lane2) this morning!!! .... as he sped ahead going down the bridge over B Timah Rd towards Thomson Rd, the whole truck was popping up and down with its nose diving and hopping..... scary!!! I quickly slowed down to keep a distant. traffic density was moderate at the time about 810am. Have you met any truck on sgp roads going faster than this??
  13. This is a person that goes all out to get business... Didn't know that the Towing business in Korea is so competitive... Wished that the local tow truck drivers would have his kind of urgency minus his extreme recklessness... Click here...
  14. http://singaporeseen.stomp.com.sg/stomp/sg...out_of_car.html This truck driver showed STOMPer Lim the middle finger after apparently cutting into the STOMPer's lane. The driver also tried to pick a fight by shouting at the STOMPer to get of his car. Lim tells us: "This truck driver cut into my lane so I sounded my horn. "I overtook his vehicle and pulled up beside him. "He then showed me the middle finger. He also shouted at me to get out of my car, like he wanted to fight with me." Dun know who is right or wrong ???? But the Stomper took a nice shot ....

  16. They come every single day to collect your garbage. Yup, I'm talking about garbage trucks. Still it seems that they may be in different ways that I hadn't discover until now. Check out the video of this garbage truck driffting in two wheels in Abha festival in Saudi Arabia.
  17. When I was a kid I remember playing the rope game where you had to pull the opponent team beyond a line to scream for victory. Now these guys took that game to another level with monstor trucks. Check what happens to the defeated truck
  18. I am sorry to disappoint you if you think that the FMX is some sexy coupe or concept. Volvo (well, Volvo Trucks, to be more precise) has just pulled one very big sheet off of a new heavy-duty construction truck called the FMX. The leviathan bears a host of features designed to help it excel on the manufacturing and construction sites of Europe, including impressive ground clearance, substantial skid plates and one badpush-bar. Of course, there's also impressive engine options. Volvo will let you equip your very own FMX with either an 11-liter powerplant capable of anywhere between 330 and 450 horsepower or a 13-liter lump with 380-500 horsepower, depending on the configuration. The larger of the two engines produces around 1,800 lb-ft of torque. The FMX also comes with i-Shift

  20. hi i captured on my car video on a truck pulling a trailer that speeds up & beat a redlight in sengkang on a 2 lane neighbourhood small road. How i know it speed up.. Well i was travelling ahead of the truck beside it at maybe 50 or 60km/hr n the truck was in full view on my rear mirror so i guess that like 20m ahead, then when i approached the redlight i came to a complete stop & after maybe 1 second the truck zoom past my car on full speed beating the redlight that was already red for maybe 2 seconds or so. Confirmed if there is any vehicle that travels pass sure die even if also a big truck. Asfter the light turn green, i drove off n the same truck was at the next redlight n my car recoder managed to take him in full view. Now the question is whether i shld submit this video to the authority? My wife feels that what if i submit & the person loses his licence hence his job? What do u guys think?

Should see how this guy drifts his delivery truck around the corners and the windy roads. To perform such stunts, thought we need cars like Evo, WRX or cars with similar setup, but I'm wrong here. http://mikeyip.com/chinas-very-own-initial...wn-edison-chen/
