If say I upgrade my 185/65/R15 Sports to 205/50/R16.. Do I need to do balancing? Or anything else to it? Cuz I plan to just change the rims over. Thats all. If need to do anything else, what is the recommended place?

Anyone saw the boxes of plasma ignition booster on sale at Mcwell? Its supposed to boost your voltage from 12V to 16V. Not a big increase (since our car runs at ~13.5-14V when its running). However, its not too expensive @$180. So decide to buy one and try out. Not bad. Pickup does increase since I get higher output voltage from the coil now (due to feeding in higher voltage). Higher voltage also means bigger gap for better performance. Downside is my igniter gets much hotter. I better think of some cooling for it to prevent it from burning out. Its not overprice because I have been sourcing for a DC-DC converter for quite sometime and those which can put out 2-3A of current cost over $200..... madness.... Thus this is essentially just a DC-DC converter (conter 12V to 16V), so 180 is still acceptable.

hi , i am comtemplating on a few upgrades for a performance boost. they are 1) Surbo 2) Ignition cables ( not sure of brand) 3) Power boost valve 4) Broquet. I prefer performance than fuel economy. Any brudders here can advice which upgrade is more worthwhile ? thanks.

heard from the technician of eastgear, there will no longer be support for holux papago softwares. i have already upgraded my software to galatcio or something. more fucntions with this new software. eg toll charges, max speed of current road, etc. mine is holux 62f with warrenty, so upgrade free. do check it out with eastgear before yr warrenty ends.

Hi All, My Garmin GPS is getting outdated, any brother know of any place where i can upgrade the Software or the Map. Really do not wish to go back to garmin as i hear that they charge quite expensive. i hear that there is those aftermarket, where you can upgrade the software at a cheaper rate. Thank you.

Recently Euro $$ drastically dropping, think it's good time to upgrade my Civic to BMW, but checked through all BMW catalogs, disappointed me that there is not any model c/w manual version in Singapore[smallcry] ,since I got license have driven manual cars 8 years, not feeling to auto cars, Do I enjoy luxurious have to sacrifice driving fun? ,

So I was driving home today behind this dazzling white Wish, sports rims, fierce looking body kit, and of course aggressively lowered suspension. The guy's driving style was normal enough, not speeding, not roadhogging. He happened to turn into the same, 1-lane 2-way residential side road that I did, and immediately exhibited a change of behaviour - and I found out why. Over the course of the 4 or 5 humps that we came to next, he started braking probably a couple of hundred meters from the hump, then painfully edged almost sideways over the hump. It was pretty obvious he had lowered his suspension a little too aggressively and was trying to prevent scraping the bottom of his car. This was probably the first time I had traversed that stretch of road - and those humps - at 20km/h without engaging either accelerator or brake. That was just enough to keep me going without stopping altogether behind him while he continued that painful journey, finally making a turn ahead of me. I was considerate enough though not to show any impatience - it was after all a trying and stressful enough experience for him... Which brings me to the opinion - there IS such a thing as too much lowering. 10mm fender space? 2 fingers? It seems to me that a lowering mod should improve stability and handling, but when carried too far actually takes away far too much comfort, and indeed reduces what should be an enjoyable cruising experience to a painful one.

I am collecting my new Nissan Sylphy 2009 2.0L next week, thinking of trading in the original 16"rims and tyres 195/60/16" for 17" rims with tyres 205/50/17? Please share your experience in changing from 16 to 17 rims? How it effecfts fuel consumption, comfort, and road-holding? Thank you...

Having FH-P5000MP for almost a year with USB adapter, I am thinking of upgrading it. I found that selecting of music is quite difficult from my iPod, which is connected to the USB adapter. I hope to see different folder like what I did in my itunes: House, Lounge, Liveset, Mandarin, English.... which HU provide such information by selecting the song?

Hi all, Just wondering if it is a good time to upgrade car now, since prices are so cheap... Thinking of buying 3 series now.. PML quoted me $108k only for 320i... with 2.8% interest loan. Seems that prices really dropped so much.. Considering my sis's 523i cost about $200k 3.5 years ago... But don't know if prices will drop further? I will lose about $10k if I sell my current car.. Either that, I may consider keeping my current car and buy another 1.. Any wise opinion? Before I go down to PML with my cheque book.. Thanks!!! Cheers -
My HDB (4 room), which was bought 8 years ago will be fully paid within 5 years. I'm in a dilemma whether to upgrade to private condo in view of the private property price is coming down OR stick with the current HDB and to be debt free after 5 years. If I upgrade to a private condo, then I would have to service a loan for 20 years A big lesson learnt from this financial crisis is better to be debt free. However, who don't take loan to buy house ? unless you have a rich papa or mama or elite who earns million per annum. Your comments and recommendations are greatly appreciated. Thanks

There's still a number of items lying around in my room since i took it off, maybe u bros can just call me directly and discuss. Need to clear my room asap for personal reasons. 1. Stock air box - bottom cover got one hole 2. Hamburger air filter - biggest size 10 inch if i dun remember wrongly, top cover slightly cracked, stainless steel filter. 3. Galvanised 4-2-1 extractor - only 3-4 months old 4. EP71 turbo FRONT 242mm twin ventilated rotors, brake calipers and brake pads (1 complete set direct plug and play noneeed modification)- i would say the performence is in between Stock EP80 brakes(single solid disc rotor) and EP82GT brakes(bigger twin ventilated disc rotors and caliper), high speed braking definately better than stock EP 80, especially if u have upgradeed master brake cylnder. pads are 6 months old as of removal. 5. Exedy 3 puck heavy duty clutch with clutch cover - can last another 9months-1.5yrs clutch plate 8 inches, clutch cover 10 inches (Outside Diameter) 6. 2pieces of OEM 262mm twin-ventilated 4 x 100PCD rotors(brake disc) Size: Overall Diameter: 262mm, rotor thickness: 18mm, overall height: 48mm thanks for viewing, please help to clear!

Hi bros, Thinking of upgrading the rims & tyres from stock to 16 inc on my Octavia A4. Any suggestions?? Saw one model , the rims specs are Size- 16x7 PCD - 5/100 Offset - +45. Will this be OK or any problem. Looking for continental tyres . Which one is recommended , the shop recommended me CPC2 or Sports contact2 , both of sizes 205/55-R16. Any suggestions..... Regards.

Currently using an OZ audio vector 3 12" sub woofer running off alpine MRP650 monoblock (400W at 4ohm, 600W at 2ohm). Thinking of upgrading and my installer has given me 2 options. Both are 12 inch subwoofers but I think the genesis is running at 4ohm while the ME is at 2ohm. Both comes with DVC. 1) Genesis Audiophile 30.1 Subwoofer http://www.genesiscaraudio.net/speakers/au...0.01/index.html 2) OZ audio Matrix Elite 12 sub woofer http://www.ozaudio.com/pages/ME12.html The genre of music I usally listen to is usually vocals with a little pop/rock at times. Any advice or experience with the 2 subs? Any other recommendations for subs will do as well. I have listened to the Genesis sub in my car but have not tried the ME in my car yet. Would welcome anyone willing to lend me the ME for a while to audit. Thanks in advance.
