Hi all, I'm driving an A4 B6. Stock system comes with stock HU and 8 speakers + 1 woofer. Qn, if I just want to change the front component speakers and add an amp, wat suggestions to u guys have? I'm hoping to spend less than $600 incl installations. Also any suggestion on installer? Thx!

next time you go upgrade your ride, make sure you do your homework in price, gain and benefit. I got bluffed by an installer recently who was telling me that the Xtreme Spark Optimizer v3.2 was good. Yes, good in producing a little blue light and as a paper weight. I didn't feel ANY BIT of difference. I'm so ticked off, becuase he kept assuring me that I would feel an increase in power, save fuel FC (as in all usual gimmicky nonsense). I should have researched before impulsively buying this... but sometimes too itchy. May Genie's list of shameful snake oils live on... the guy also tell me that many people have already installed this product, its selling like hot cakes... Yes, some of you out there, i'm sure you already feel the con and pain of giving your hard earned cash over to buy a paperweight - 150-180 price. This shameful con job has got to end.

Just heard they're making their own pulley (similar to Carlsson) kit for the 1.8L M271 Kompressor engine, likely due end of Dec. Couple that with Brabus tuning, and we should have a sweet performance upgrade for the C200K, E200K, SLK200, CLK200 series. I'm waiting to see how this turn out. Anyone else tuned your rides at MBM Wheelpower?

hi all wanna ask most of the experts here something...recently went to check my type and was shock to realise tat the front tyre the threat is almost finishing so heard from my dad he ask me go to tyre shop and try to do a tyre swapping, so i head down and after the guy from the type shop check he said, all the 4 tyres the threat finishing..at most can go another 3000 km max so he advice me to change type... but as my car only left 1 yr coe and will be sending to the scrape yard after tat, tat mech advice me not to change 4 brand new tyres as itz not worth...so he recommened me this package saying he upgrade my tyre size by giving me those rims tat ppl trade in and tyre it self so wanna ask izzit worth it to do tat anot.. coz my ride is current house in a 13 inch wheel, and he offer me a 14 inch rim (*dunno wad brand one) as he say if get 4 brand new tyre coz me almost $250 might as well get his offer..so izzit worth it?

issit possible to 'upgrade' our car's oil sump to accomodate 1 quart more of oil? most cars run a 3.78litre capacity oil sump, would it be possible, and cost effective to change the pan to a larger capcacity one (ie 4.7litres) more oil means cleaner engines... practical mod?

Hi, Which is the best place to do?..so far narrow down to Chuan HiFi and Piang Liang (PL) after some searching. PL would be more ex though... Anyone any suggestions? I'm trying to look for a place whom they would be familiar with AVEO...as our rides are still relatively new in market..not many audio shops have experience the "removal process"..I do want to be guinea pig I got my woofer, amp, speakers from my previous ride, juz need to find a reliable place to install and tune if can. Thanks in advance!

03' 323 on stock 185/65R14, what size would be a recommended upgrade with more tire options? currently using GR80, wanna upgrade better rubbers, but alot of tires don't have my current size 195/55R15? 215/50R15? 215/45R16? main priority on more options for tires 2nd is cost Thanks

Hi Folks, I just booked a 2 litre car from a PI, wanted to upgrade 15" (no sports rim) wheel to 16" or 17". The price quoted is like 1.2 K for 16" upgrade and 1.5K for 17" for "normal" sports rim and yokohama tyre. Please advise if the above price is radiculous or reasonable ... when i went to Ford Focus launch, the price to upgrade to 17" sports rim + tyre is only 1.1 K despite the reputation of being expensive in parts. Thanks!

Hi guys, As im a newbie to cars and I need advice as im thinking of changing a set of normal wheels to sports rims and tyres. But I dunno what is good for kia cerato sedan, cause all I know is this specs : 185/65 R15 Guys please advice me of a good size as I really dunno if a set of 15inch or 15.5inch is good? What profile of tyres fits nicely.. Thanks, Jon Lee

hi guys , just to ask , if the tires i`ve installed is alot bigger in diameter than the stock tire would the speedometer display inaccurate reading , is then so is there any way to tune or adjust the speedo to display the correct speed???

consider to upgrade my headlight... HID... recommended?? anyone done b4? any damaged to the cover etc too much heat will melt the plastic or any other problems??

If there is one thing (cheap, value for money, affordable, DIY if possible) that one should do to enhance the performance of a new car, what would it be? Spark plugs? Air filter? ???

Hi to all i'm contemplating to change my rims/tyres (15" to 15" not to void warranty, with better tyres- low profile etc) for my new suzuki swift. But my kind SE suggested not to since both factory fitted alloy rims/tyres are of good quality (Japan manufactured as well) she mentioned dat it's kinda waste to trade the japan-made rims (not sure of the brand)for taiwan alloys (which is within my budget)... the stock tyres are "BRIDGESTONE POTENZA 080 RE", the tyre shop personnel whom i called up was not too familiar with this particular tyre (being swift still new & the fitted tyre not on market) but he was very nice in giving me some feedback on potenza/falken etc... any new swift owners upgrading their rims? (pls share yr views), or other make car owners who had experience with using Potenza to share some advices /comments? thanks to all for yr feedback! very much appreciated.

I would like to upgrade my brake system in my new Civic when i get it mid of feb... Thing i would like to do is to change the brake line into steel braided one n change to larger rotor with red colour four pot caliper... Will it affect my car warranty?? any suggestion or feedback on the workshop which does this n recommended brake system? -
Hi after much thought i have decided to upgrade the speakers and amplifer of the stock sound system in my father's nissan sunny so its CDT 2 fronts and just a amp what amp do you guys recommend? probably use the amp to drive the rear stock speakers with a new cdt front speakers to replace the stock setup would it cost more than 800 for the whole setup? i dont think i need a woofer at all since i only need clarity and some bass so i guess its CDT classic and a 4channel amp? do they normaly place the amp at the boot section?

hi im a novice to ICE...recently feel like upgrading my stock head unit (only CD player n tuner)...any to models recommend? am quite keen on the in-dash LCD head unit with DVD player but its way off the budget...maybe just upgrade to a head unit with a cool display tat plays mp3 as well...any shops to recommend tat i can check it out? thanks

Hi im thinking of upgrading the existing HU of my father's new FL sunny any recommendations? i read about the blaupunkt , seems not bad as god DAB MP3 MMC all these i m actually looking for a single disc but with mp3 capabilities and maybe DAB if possible im only thinking of change the HU any suggestions? one more thing i would like to ask is does the stock sound system in the car come with amp? is it setup in this way? HU -> speakers or HU -> amp -> speakers my budget is about 500 dollars plus installation, hehe very new to car mods and stuff anyone please please recommend me a place to get it upgraded with out me getting karrr tok heheehe thanks alot!!
