  1. Drugs found inside cubicle which was locked for 2 days Police storm toilet cubicle, man flees July 17, 2008 FOR two days last week, a locked cubicle in one of the male toilets in Goldpine Industrial Building had workers scratching their heads. Goldpine Industrial Complex. -- TNP Picture: JONATHAN CHOO A man had locked himself in and refused to come out. Workers in the building along Joo Seng Road had heard noises coming from inside the cubicle. When they peeped under the door, they saw a leg against the partition wall. Last Thursday, an employee from a shop on the sixth storey, who declined to be named, went to the male toilet on the same level at about 8am. He noticed that one of the five cubicles was locked. When he went back in the afternoon and at 5.30pm, it was still locked. 'I thought something might be amiss and I figured someone was inside, but I didn't check,' he told The New Paper. The next morning, he found it was still locked. He said: 'The day before, I did not hear any noise coming from inside the cubicle. But the next day, I heard something that sounded like water boiling.' He did not knock on the door or call out to the person inside as he was afraid the latter would be dangerous. The police were called in after two men from the maintenance and security department failed to persuade the man to come out. A police spokesman confirmed they got a call at 4.40pm. The employee said two police officers arrived at 5pm and broke down the cubicle door. The man fled from the toilet. The spokesman confirmed that 'the man managed to flee'. He added that 'drugs and drug paraphernalia were found in the cubicle'. He described the man as tanned, 1.7m tall, wearing a yellow jersey and a brown cap. The police are investigating. The building management declined to comment.

  3. Have seen several posts stating that mods on NA Auto-trans cars will/can not meet their results. They are specifically exhaust mods(free/semi flow), air-intake(open-pod CAI), PBV, ECU piggy back, air booster gadgets. As most mods mentioned above will have definite negative impact on low end torque & may not even meet their results for high end power? Most makes in SG are NA & autos, dose it mean thats the end of moding for such cars? I cant afford TC or SC rides and have to stick to my 1.8 NA for a while. I've committed fr 15" to 18" rims nd would definitely like some boost for my ride. I have converted my exhuast & in the process of upgrading: 1) Air intake(open-pod with CAI) 2) PBV (still considering, any help for Auto?) 3) Piggy back chip(Is Dyno required, after installation) Please help to enlighten, as I would not like to end up spending $ for the wrong reasons. Thanks alot in advance. Any success stories will be helpful.
  4. Just wondering if installing a top fueller in a 1.4l car be of any use.
  5. I don't have a car alarm. I am wondering if it is useful to have one. In SGP, it is relatively safe. The most common car crime is the breaking of windshield to steal cash card. Professional car thieves are seldom heard of. Outside SGP, modes of stealing your car. - tow-truck - knifepoint rob your keys - crash into your car, whack you up and drive off in your car Usefulness of car alarm - finding your car in MSCP if you have forgotten where you park - frighten the stray loitering around your car if you are afraid to shoo them away What do you think? Car-Alarm useful? Like to hear your views cos the above is only my personal view.
  6. See this article at Autospeed. http://www.autospeed.com/cms/A_2232/article.html If you want a drop-in K&N, better to rip the thing out for an open pod. Seems like I am right. At the end of the article it says to alter the flow into the airbox. So taking out the snorkel/resonator would be it if performance is desired.
