  1. Hi all, Anyone here using tyres that exceed the recommended tolerance of 2%? For example, if your stock tyres are 205/55R16 and you change to 215/50R17, the difference would be +2.36%. Should you exceed by +/- 2%, do you encounter adverse effect in term of handling, fuel consumption, speed reading with everything remain the same? Please feedback. Thank you. Regards,

  7. This is purely just for discussion after i had a converstation with my friend who almost knocked down a teenage boy as he dashed across the road while on the phone. We were talking about govt penalizing driver who used hp while driving, would it be possible one day that the govt introduce a law to ban people from using the phone when crossing the road ? This would reduce people getting into accident due to being too absorbed in the phone converstation Pls share your view
  8. When we look at our local car scene, there aren't many 2.xL cars with a V6 engine. Mostly often we see, IL4, IL5 and perhaps IL6 in them. Apart from cost of manufacturing, why do you think there are players out there that like to use V6 on a smaller 2L engine. Traditionally, most V6 are found in the 3L cars. By the way is the term V6 generally associated with power in the motor industry? Thank you very much for your input. Regards,
  9. Hi everyone, Just need your friendly advise, perhaps some of you have encoutered similar situation. How can I get rid of unwanted mails being delivered to my address, presumably intended for previous tenants and previous owner of the small condo unit where I now stay. Its been more than a year now since I bought and moved to this new place and still, I get a lot of post mails intended for previous owners/tenants. Tried reaching the previous owner but is no longer reachable. I checked the gov website but did not find a way how I can raise and address this concern. Thanks, your help will be appreciated.

  19. Currently I use Zymol wax, and was told I can only wax at most once every 2 months. But when come to end of 1 month, already very very "buay tahan", the original water gloss shine is all but gone (to me at least). I saw in the supermarket there are those spray on quick wax (various brands). Is it possible to use them on top of the Zymol wax that I have applied? Would it damage the paintwork in anyway? If it's not possible, then please tell me if there are any other ways to kind of "seal" in the water gloss kind of shine for longer period of time? Why must I wait 2 months? Why can't I wax as soon as the shine is fading anyway?

  22. i got this thru email.... 28hrs work week for germans... damn ....good life.. Good article ... esp the last part. [/size] A MUST READ An excellent article to read and enjoy (may be action as well!!). It's been 18 years since I joined Volvo, a Swedish company. Working for them has proven to be an interesting experience. Any project here takes 2 years to be finalized, even if the idea is simple and brilliant. It's a rule. Globalized processes have caused in us (all over the world) a general sense of searching for immediate results.. Therefore, we have come to posses a need to see immediate results. This contrasts greatly with the slow movements of the Swedish. They, on the other hand, debate, debate, debate, hold x quantity of meetings and work with a slowdown scheme. At the end, this always yields better results. In other words: [ol] [*]Sweden has 2 million inhabitants.[/ol] [ol] [*]Stockholm has 500,000 people.[/ol] [ol] [*]Volvo, Escania, Ericsson, Electrolux, are some of its renowned companies. Volvo even supplies NASA.[/ol] The first time I was in Sweden , one of my colleagues picked me up at the hotel every morning. It was September, bit cold and snowy. We would arrive early at the company and he would park far away from the entrance (2000 employees drive their car to work). The first day, I didn't say anything, neither the second or third days. One morning I asked him, "Do you have a fixed parking space? I've noticed we park far from the entrance even when there are no other cars in the lot." To which he replied, "Since we're here early we'll have time to walk, don't you think that whoever gets in late will need a place closer to the door?" Imagine my face. Nowadays, there's a movement in Europe named Slow Food. This movement establishes that people should eat and drink slowly, with enough time to taste their food, spend time with the family, friends, without rushing. Slow Food is against its counterpart, Fast Food and what it stands for as a lifestyle. Slow Food is the basis for a bigger movement called Slow Europe, as mentioned by Business Week. Basically, the movement questions the sense of "hurry" and "craziness" generated by globalization, fuelled by the desire of "having in quantity" (life status) versus "having with quality", "life quality" or the "quality of being". French people, even though they work 35 hours per week, are more productive than Americans or British. Germans have established 28.8 hour workweeks and have seen their productivity been driven up by 20%.. This slow attitude has come to the notice of USA , the pupils of the fast and "do it now" brigade. This no-rush attitude doesn't represent doing less or having a lower productivity It means working and doing things with greater quality, productivity, perfection, with attention to detail and less stress. It means re-establishing family values, friends, free and leisure time. Taking the "now", present and concrete, versus the "global", undefined and anonymous. It means taking humans' essential values, the simplicity of living. It stands for a less coercive work environment, more happy, lighter and more productive work place where humans enjoy doing what they know best how to do. It's time to stop and think on how companies need to develop serious quality with no-rush that will increase productivity and the quality of products and services, without losing the essence. In the movie, 'Scent of a Woman', there's a scene where Al Pacino asks a girl to dance and she replies, "I can't, my boyfriend will be here any minute now". To which Al responds, "A life is lived in an instant". Then they dance the tango. Many of us live our lives running behind time, but we only reach it when we die of a heart attack or in a car accident rushing to be on time. Others are so anxious to live for the future that they forget to live the present, which is the only time that truly exists. We all have equal time throughout the world. No one has more or less. The difference lies in how each one of us does with our time. We need to live each moment. As John Lennon said, "Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans". Congratulations for reading this email till the end of this message. There are many who will have stopped in the middle so as not to waste time in this "Globalized" world.
  23. just wondering how is the quality of the free 1 Mbps broadband comes together with Hubstation? Is it acceptable for single user and multiple user? If I remember correctly, current 8 Mbps broadband is upgraded from 1.5 Mbps previously, thought 1Mbps should be similar to 1.5 Mbps last time?
  24. if you google search "water fuel", you will come across many website claiming that there is technology available to use water to power cars. some website even try to sell you the water fuel conversion kit, eg. www.waterdriven.com is there any truth in all these? or are all these just another scam??
