    USING NANOLUX?

This question has been posted before in January this year by Presea (i think) but there has been no response by anyone who is using this brand of solar film. Maybe now there are some amongst MCF land who have installed it. If so, please let me know which one you are using and whether it is any good since it is much cheaper than V Kool and Huber Optik but is claimed to be essentially the same quality without the middle man and hence the price. Cheers,

  16. Hi all, I'm thinking of upgrading my stock HU (Blaupunkt + disc-changer) to a XPLOD MP3 HU. Spoke to Pin Liang which offered to take in my unit but realised that the prices are much lower (30%?) if i purchase direct off the Internet. My question is whether i can use one of these imported HUs and if there's any downside to this? There's probably no warranty and the next question is the meantime to failure for such mechanical devices. Any comments appreciated. cheers, Patrick

  18. I'm driving a May 1995 Suzuki Swift 1.0 GL. I'm new to cars so don't know if it's has a carburator or injection engine. Heard from the previous owner's mechanic that 1994 model and before uses a carb. Those 1995 models are using fuel injection engines. Anyone experts can advise?
  19. Has anyone ever being caught by ROV for using Lexus Altezza taillight on your Mitsubhishi ? onemotoring.com does not specifically say whether its allowed or not allowed
  20. any issues that could arise ? i somewhat feel that the car is heavier and the throttle response not so good after changing.
  21. Anticipate the road and the conditions; be in the right gear at the right time for good response. When stuck behind a slower vehicle be in the right ratio to overtake quickly - not necessarily your lowest available gear; you don't want to be caught having to shift cogs while passing. Don't hold on to low gears too long; you might sound as though you're going fast by always being on the redline but changing up can make the car better balanced on a twisty road and you'll often find you are going through bends quicker too. Avoid slowing the car on the gears (it unsettles the driven wheels);use the brakes - that's what they're for. Rgds Paul Yong
  22. Lemme reason again, a stock paper filter flows just shy of a new K&N but with better filtration. So over time the K&N and paper will become restricted right? Just change the stock one every year lor! Here's the economics of my reason: Stock: $19 each K&N: $85 (cheapest, I got mine for $120 ) Changing every year means the total cost for the 10yr COE period will be $190 for using stock filter. That's about double over 10yrs which is nothing compared to all the crap we have to pay for our cars. Using a K&N have risks of contaminating the MAF sensor and letting more dust particles through the filter. Sure I've used a K&N when I was green to the car scene, now I'm using stock paper filter and car drives just as well. To prove my point, my 0-100km/h on Gtech does not differ much with K&N or stock filter, just about 0.2secs diff and both type of filters are used (not brand new).
