  1. I am thinking whether to get the new Pioneer AVH-8450BT to integrate with my iPhone or just a cheaper lower end model with AV input that allows me to connect my iPhone through composite AV out using apple Displayout function, thus creating a mirror image of the iPhone. Using Pioneer App Radio allows only compatible apps to run whereas Displayout virtually runs all the apps on the iPhone. Anyone tried this before ?
  2. recently check tyrepac for new tyres saw they have the new CPC5 on sale. The reviews on them are quite good and they are no1 on a few charts, granted the competitor are quite lousy tyres, the only competition was T001 and P7 (but got one test 4th vs PS3 5th) anyone using them...my altis 195/65/R15 got not much choice (considering 16 rim, but gave it up...no point)...looking at 1) Advan DB 2) XM2 (tried it on previous Altis...good then but overrated now) 3) CPC5 4) ZE 914 (not much feedback) 5) T001 (successor to ER300, my current tyre..good but VERY VERY noisy now) looks like CPC5 is a good choice (cheap too) so wondering if they are really worth it. Was leaning to Advan DB. Anyone try then already?

  4. Something very basic, just gives total run distance / time, no need heart rates etc or download-function. Something like the Soleus GPS 1.0 Apparently this model retails for about $180, cheaper than most other GPS watches (which have more functions though) and good for users just want to know distance/time only. For about the same price, any better choice? Many thanks

The reason i wanna get #461 is that can use for other surfaces What other ways do u use your #461?

  8. Just get a Bluetooth enabled car HU. Wednesday, May 09, 2012 The China Post/Asia News Network Taiwan drivers to face fines for using electronic devices while driving Car drivers who use hand-held mobile phones or tablet computers while driving will be fined NT$3,000 (S$130), and motorcyclists NT$1,000 in the near future, according to an amendment to a road traffic safety regulation passed by the Legislative Yuan, yesterday. The amendment to the Road Traffic Management and Punishment Code will see drivers using mobile phones, computers or similar devices fined NT$3,000. Those who fumble with such smart gadgets while waiting at red lights are also subject to the code and will be fined similarly, Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MOTC) Deputy Minister Yeh Kuang-shih said. Under the amendment, those who wish to answer phone calls either need to use headsets or park their vehicles first. While the Legislature cleared the amendment, lawmakers voiced concerns about the new regulation's enforceability. The MOTC replied that its plans to reach a more practical approach, which could include sporadic inspections. Another amendment cleared by the Legislature raised fines for car drivers who race past level crossings from NT$6,000 and NT$12,000 to between NT$15,000 and NT$60,000. The MOTC said the current plan is to pass supplementary amendments by early September, after which the announcement of the implementation date of the amended Road Traffic Code will be up to the Executive Yuan.

  10. Hi All, Anyone using the above? Does it works in reducing odours in cars? Care to share? I know Taka got sell, but at the pricing of S$ 180, its quite a killer ( i wanan be sure that at least, this product works to reducing odours before spending that amount of money). I been looking at other brands such as Sharp and Samsung (so called Samsung as its made by a korean company using Samsung Patented SPI technology) but none is as compact as this. Care to share your experiences if you have used this before? Many thanks in advance... I also discovered a place which sell this much much cheaper :)

  14. A case of alergy? From STOMP: http://singaporeseen.stomp.com.sg/stomp/sg..._after_she.html Posted on 27 Jan 2012 Her face broke out in pus-filled bumps after she used facial mask STOMPer Kerol used a face mask after reading several good reviews about it. The STOMPer was shocked when she later broke out in pus-filled bumps that covered both her cheeks. The STOMPer wrote: "I think this is really important to share with all women out there, who purchase facial products by believing what the packaging states. "Recently, while reading Cleo magazine, I saw this brand B.liv which claims that it tightens pores, anti inflammation. "They even have a few girls stating reviews like they have really sensitive skin but this mask was really mild to their skin. "Furthermore, I went to their website to check out their review and it sounds really convincing. Thus I bought one of their hydrating masks called leach me. "Yesterday morning my skin was feeling dry, so according to the instructions, I applied the mask for 30 minutes. "At first I did feel a pleasant result as it did tighten my pores which it claims on the website. Then later, I started having a few small breakouts around my nose and chin area, soon my whole face was inflamed and many tiny bumps with pus covered my entire cheeks. "This really caused a lot of frustration for me. The inflammation occurred when they stated that it was anti-inflammatory. "I was thinking that ok maybe I was the only unlucky one who happened to be sensitive to a certain ingredient in it. "Until my friend told me her boss who tried B.liv Immerse Me mask had the same problem that I am facing. I got so mad and sent an email to them and also posted a review on their website to warn other girls. "The I discovered why they had only good feedback on the website; the bad ones will not be approved by them to be posted up."

  18. I just saw my workshop mechanic use the high pressure water spray to spray the entire engine and engine bay, including all the components inside. Will this cause any engine bay components, joints, wiring, cables, etc to come dislodged? Will water get into engine block and damage engine? Is high pressure water spray ok for ECU? Will radiator tubes and joints be safe from the high pressure spray? Noob here so please forgive me if the above questions are dumb.

  20. i've been wanting to ask this for a very long time liao keep forgetting... from my knowledge, wheel spacers are mainly to clear bigger calipers... those who are using it, any wheel vibrations at high speeds? SOME... only some cars look good with wheel spaces... i always believe a wider wheel base will make the car look better... but if your car is not designed to fit wider wheel base than the car will end up yucks... i am probably not making myself very clear... .... hmmm ok example... i feel lah... wheels to far out for these cars look yucks... 1st gen Mazda3, Estima, Avante.... its like there's no swallon wheel arc and the design of the car fenders just look bad with wheels out of the body... anyways just wanna know if you are using wheel spacers and WHY?... many thanks...

  23. Most of us use valet parking service without a second thoughts. When we read the fine print on the reciept, it says:- ......The management accepts no responsibility for theft, damage, or other misdemeanor caused to vehicles, equipment or contents herein whilst parked in the premises. Vehicles are parked at owner's risk. Does it mean based on the printed statement, if we find our car damaged, scratched, or our belongings stolen/damaged, the valet service provider can just shrug and walk away, telling us "Too bad, you parked it at your own risk"??? Some valet serives even drive your car to some public backlanes and park it there ie not within the premises.... again, if there's damages etc found, too bad. The owner of the car (their guest/customer) leaves the car in their hands, but they take no responsibility at all. The point is at many hotels/clubs, it appears that the customer/patron has no other choice but to use the valet parking service, unless he's prepared to spend an extra 30 mins or an hour to park his own car somewhere else and walk back to the hotel/club. Do you use valet service under the circumstances where they take no responsibility at all? BTW, i do empty valuable contents from the car and take a good look for scratches etc before and after the valet service is executed. In fact, has any bro here successfully claimed damages/compensation from valet service provider?
