  2. New research says short people are angrier and more violent than tall people Researchers at the Center for Disease Control in Atlanta, Georgia, recently quizzed 600 men aged between 18 and 50 on the perception of male gender, self-image and behavior in relation to drug-taking, violence and crime for a government-led study. The scientists found that men who feel the least masculine are most at risk of committing violent or criminal acts. According to the study, men who considered themselves less masculine, also known as "male discrepancy stress," were nearly three times more likely to have committed violent assaults with a weapon or assaults leading to an injury. A few years ago, a team of researchers at Oxford University also claimed "Short Man Syndrome" is a real thing. They reported that reducing a person's height can increase feelings of vulnerability and also raise levels of paranoia. Also known as the "Napoleon Complex." As modern society becomes more superficial and focused on the body standards for both sexes, height is becoming a taboo topic for many men. It is very possible that these studies included too small of a test group to accurately describe the behavioral tendencies of someone based on their height. Just for clarification, Napoleon was actually 5 feet 7 inches tall, which is basically the average height of our time. And for some perspective, that's an inch taller than movie star Jet Li! 3. Some of the footage where people cracked and turn berserk in office. Have any of you encounter similar office rage at your office/career? Where colleagues suddenly turned emotional or violent and smashing things or beating up people? I was pretty lucky the worst I've encountered is a senior staff screaming his lungs off the director and walking out of her office slamming her door. The next thing that happened is the security coming up to escort him out of the office. He was not even allow to pack his desk and we had to help him pack and pass his stuff to him outside. This senior of mine was actually a nice person and a great worker, he did have temper issues but nothing he can't control....until now. He just suddenly snapped and we were all shocked when he screamed inside. Apparently it was partly caused by his family issues, as well as some pressures from the bosses.

  5. Yahoo news: Australian rugby league player banned for biting opponent's penis By World of Sport (original post from Yahoo Eurosport here) An Australian rugby league player has been banned for eight matches after being accused of biting an opponent's penis during a tackle in a local league game. Anthony Watts, a former professional player in Australia's top-flight National Rugby League, was charged following a video review of the Gold Coast match last week. Footage of the match posted on Youtube showed the 26-year-old Tugun Seahawks utility pulled down in a tackle near the tryline and subsequently involved in a melee with remonstrating players for the opposing Bilambil Jets team. The video later showed one of the Jets players pulling down his shorts in front of the referee. "After the judiciary panel reviewed footage as well as reports from medical staff and match officials, it found Watts guilty of contrary conduct," Gold Coast Rugby League said. "He has been suspended from playing until the completion of the eighth round of the 2014 season." A Gold Coast Rugby League official told Reuters Watts had said he intended to appeal the charge, but was yet to file the necessary paperwork. Watts, who was dumped by NRL team Sydney Roosters in 2011 for disciplinary problems, was sentenced to community service in June for being involved in a brawl between rival motorcyle gangs in the Gold Coast. That followed a conviction on a weapons possession charge by a New South Wales court two weeks earlier after he was found carrying knuckle-dusters. Australian Rules football players have been punished for a number of unsavoury on-field incidents. Peter Filandia, a former top-flight Australian Rules player, was banned for 10 games for biting an opponent's testicles during a minor league match in 2002. Former NRL player John Hopoate, who represented Australia in rugby league, was banned in 2001 and sacked by his club Wests Tigers for inserting his fingers into opposing players' anuses. link: http://sg.sports.yahoo.com/blogs/fit-to-po...-001650560.html video in the link ....

Doing so would tie down police resources and hamper their services in other areas, said Senior Minister of State for Law and Home Affairs Ho Peng Kee. . Non-Constituency Member of Parliament Sylvia Lim had asked if the ministry would review the classification of "voluntarily causing hurt" (VCH), as a non-seizable offence, especially if the victim sustained injuries that needed treatment. . "If I were to scratch Associate Professor Ho's car, it would be vandalism and seizable. But if I punched him in a private capacity and his nose bled, it's not seizable," she told the House. . There have been more "violent and stranger" incidents, she said, citing the case last month in which an American sailor allegedly attacked a man at a car park in Wheelock Place in an apparent drunken rampage. The victim, a 36-year-old communications manager, needed four stitches to his face. . "Under the Penal Code currently, you need to be emasculated, to have bone fractures or be out of action for about 20 days before grievous hurt is made out," said Ms Lim, a former police officer. . "Are we setting so high a tolerance for violence?" she asked. And did the significant spike in reported cases not "suggest that tougher action needs to be taken"? . Assoc Prof Ho said aggrieved parties do have recourse, since VCH covers a wide range of behaviour and different degrees of hurt. "Cases where hurt is not serious are best resolved without extensive police involvement," he said. . But if one party wishes to pursue the matter, the police will advise him or her to take out a magistrate's complaint. . A magistrate may direct the police to further probe the case, which was done in about 10 per cent of the reported VCH cases. . "In some cases, the victim may suffer injuries which, though falling short of being grievous as defined by the law, may still require hospitalisation," he said. "In such cases, the police may consider initiating action." . When asked if the police treated VCH offences against public officers, such as bus captains and car park attendants, differently, he said they have every reason to initiate action in such cases, so as not to "undermine (these people's) ability to perform their public service". http://www.todayonline.com/articles/233673.asp i fully agree with him.. all these peasants out to cause hurt to each other. nothing involving elites. nothing which mata can make $$. why bother. if she so adament abt making changes, she sud hv punch him on the spot to prove a point. okay lah.. $1K fine niah niah. we help chip in a bit. i see how much coins i hv in the pocket first. but she wrong abt the sailor case lah.. the feller throw his face at the sailor's fist. so nasty of him... he think he is zidane meh, can anyhow use head butt pple's hand. aidoh. must hv hurt the sailor's fist badly.
