  3. Read this piece of news at ESPN Soccernet : Fergie slams unfit Wiley Sir Alex Ferguson tonight launched a blistering attack on Alan Wiley, accusing the Staffordshire official of "not being fit enough'' to do his job. Wiley, the fourth official for last month's controversial Manchester derby, was in charge at Old Trafford this afternoon as an injury-time own-goal from Anton Ferdinand gave United a point against Sunderland in a 2-2 draw. Ferguson claimed Wiley had not played the correct amount of added time because he had failed to add on an additional minute to the four already signalled once United scored. "I was disappointed with the referee,'' said the United boss. "He didn't add on any time for the goal. He played four minutes and two seconds. He did not get what he expected like he got it against ManCity and he now slam the poor referee............... Smell something Fishy .........

  5. Hey peeps I encountered an incident a couple of nights ago that I wish to relate to you guys. I was at a major T-junction in Yishun and I wanted to turn right so I waited for the oncoming traffic to be clear. When it was clear and I checked that there were no pedestrians who were crossing the road that I was entering into as well as the walking green man had changed to a standing red man, I turned into the road but alas there were two cyclists who were crossing the road! Hence I tapped my horn and they stopped. I went into the road unscathed but as I was going past them, one of them actually showed his middle finger to me! I was taken aback. My question here is if they are crossing the road like that as a vehicle be it a car/bus/lorry/motorbike then I suppose I'm at fault. But they are bicycles who should be treated as pedestrians isn't it? So is it my fault that I didn't give way since they are oncoming? Please advise and thanks!

  9. Save my house, Hollywood Desperate homeowners let in film crew to earn $3,000 a day, but risk getting nasty surprises January 20, 2009 HURTING from the current recession but love your home too much to sell it off? Some Los Angeles homeowners have found a way to earn extra cash while holding on to their houses - they called Hollywood. These enterprising homeowners have laid out the welcome mat for film crew, offering their homes as sets for movies and commercials, reported Bloomberg. Said MrJoseph Darrell, who runs Joe Darrell Location Service, which sources locations for film sets: 'We are getting a lot of calls (from homeowners). They say, 'Can you help me to bring a production to my home, because I have trouble making my payments.' But letting in film crews is not without setbacks. MsMarylin Bitner, who owns PlanA Locations, said one client 'almost had a heart attack' when he saw that his living room had been painted fluorescent yellow. But another was quite happy to have a new gate installed in front of his house, MsBitner said. He called it the 'pay-it-forward' gate. Clothing and jewellery designer Jayshree Gupta too is happy to let cameramen tramp about her 3,000-sq-ft Bevely Hills penthouse. 'I am doing it because I need money to maintain my lifestyle. A lot of my money is either gone or tied up. Right now I am hurting,' she said as crew members laid protective paper over her hardwood floor and moved in lighting and camera gear. Her home is being used for a day as a set for a TV commercial for a day. She declined to say how much she was being paid, but Mr Darrell, who landed the deal for her, said the going rate for filming work in a place like hers is US$2,000 ($3,000) to US$3,000 a day. That amount would pay half her monthly household bills and maid service. Added MsGupta: 'I am praying, praying, for more productions to come in. 'I thought it was a brilliant idea to help myself.' MsBitner told Bloomberg that she has been getting more than a dozen calls from homeowners each week, up from about two a week a year ago. She said: 'We're getting all sorts of houses. From small homes, where owners are hoping production money will save their house, to very large mansions, where owners hope to avoid having to dig into their savings or having to sell stocks.' Still, there are some perks to letting your property out for film-making. For one, income from residential filming for fewer than 15 days a year isn't subject to federal taxes, according to the Internal Revenue Service. For another, you may get to rub shoulders with a movie star. Said MsBitner: 'We've had Alec Baldwin, Jake Gyllenhaal and Robert Downey Jr, among many others. They are always posing with our clients' kids.' But it's not just homeowners that are trying to make their properties earn their keep. More owners of commercial buildings are also letting in film crews. But many are willing to settle for less than the US$6,500 or more a day that was previously offered, said MrDarrell. Meanwhile, one desperate homeowner, Mr Jerry Mendoza, was hard up enough to go to compromise on his integrity for more cash. He had hoped to sell his four-bedroom house in suburban Burbank, which he built in 2006, for US$1.3 million. When the tenants he rented the home to left in November, he leased it for filming. But the most he had received for a day was US$1,300, he said. So he offered his home on an Internet notice for the adult-film industry - because he had heard it paid up to US$5,000 a day. Maybe the homeowner can be part of the acting crews for the adult-firm industry :)
  10. November 30, 2008 -- Updated 0146 GMT (0946 HKT) http://edition.cnn.com/2008/BUSINESS/11/29...c.ap/index.html Looks like oil price will rise afterall. Read: CAIRO, Egypt (AP) -- Saudi Arabia said Saturday that it hoped to raise oil prices to $75 a barrel, but indicated that no measures would probably be taken until an OPEC meeting next month in Algeria. OPEC countries will have to cut oil production by 3 million barrels a day to hike price to $75, group says. OPEC countries will have to cut oil production by 3 million barrels a day to hike price to $75, group says. Saudi Oil Minister Ali Naimi said that OPEC will "do what needs to be done" to shore up falling oil prices when the cartel meets next month in Algeria, even as his king told a Kuwaiti newspaper that $75 a barrel was a fair price for oil Naimi did not entirely rule out the chance that the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries would slash output at the hastily convened meeting Saturday, but he did say the bloc needed to wait until the meeting in Oran, Algeria on Dec. 17 to assess the impact of two previous rounds of cuts. His comments came after Saudi King Abdullah told the Kuwaiti daily Al-Seyassah that oil should be priced at $75 a barrel, far above its current rate. "We believe the fair price for oil is $75 a barrel," he said, without elaborating on how this would be achieved. Whereas crude stood at about $147 a barrel in mid-July, it now hovers about $90 lower. On Friday, the U.S. benchmark West Texas Intermediate crude for January delivery was trading at about $54 per barrel. The king was echoed by Qatar's Oil Minister Abdullah Bin Hamad al-Attiya, who told the Arab news channel Al-Arabiya just before the opening of the meeting of the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries Saturday that prices needed to rise to guarantee investment into the oil sector. "The price between 70 to 80 (dollars a barrel) is the one encouraging in investment and developing new or current oil fields. It falls below 70, the investment would freeze, which will lead to a crisis in supply in the future." The representatives of the OPEC face their third test in as many months to engineer a rebound in prices hammered by plummeting crude demand amid a global economic meltdown. The cartel has already held one emergency meeting -- on Oct. 24 in Vienna -- to try to halt the slide in prices with an announcement of a 1.5 million barrel per day drop. It failed to support prices, and the cartel hastily convened the Cairo gathering on Saturday on the sidelines of the OAPEC meeting. Don't Miss * Iraq increases oil exports by 3.5M barrels Kuwait's oil minister Mohammed al-Aleem said Friday he believes there was "no need" for OPEC to take a decision in Cairo on cutting output. But he warned the market is oversupplied, and didn't rule out the need for OPEC to cut production further. "We believe a decision could be taken ... but I think it will happen in Algeria," he said. Al-Aleem said current prices could undercut investment in future projects and were not good for either producers or consumers. The recent price drop has left price hawks Venezuela and Iran clamoring for further reductions of at least 1 million barrels a day. Both countries need crude of about $90 per barrel to meet current spending needs aimed in part at propping up domestically unpopular regimes. Other OPEC members, such as Nigeria and Ecuador, face budget problems too, making them reluctant to implement more cuts that might shrink revenues further. Unlike many of their fellow members, the Saudis are better positioned to cope with the drop in prices. The International Monetary Fund estimates Riyadh needs crude in the range of about $50 per barrel for 2008 fiscal accounts to break even. Also unclear, after two earlier cuts failed to push prices higher, is what the group can do without prolonging the global economic downturn. OPEC itself, along with the International Energy Agency, has significantly revised down its projections for demand growth in 2009. Meanwhile, global crude inventories are growing, as evidenced by a U.S. government report showing a surprisingly large 7 million barrel build in stocks last week in the world's largest energy consumer. OPEC's last round of cuts would put its total production at about 30.5 million barrels per day, according to the IEA. That is about 500,000 barrels per day higher than the forecast call on OPEC crude in much of 2009. advertisement Those factors argue against restraint if some in OPEC want crude back up to at least $70. A Nov. 24 research report by the New York-based Oppenheimer & Co. in New York said that for oil to rebound to $65 a barrel, OPEC would need to cut crude production by more than 3 million barrels per day from its September levels -- a move it called highly unlikely.

  13. S$1 million for information leading to capture of Mas Selamat By Channel NewsAsia | Posted: 21 July 2008 1440 hrs SINGAPORE - A cash reward of S$1 million is being offered for information leading to the apprehension of Mas Selamat inside or outside Singapore. Deputy Prime Minister and Home Affairs Minister Wong Kan Seng revealed this in Parliament on Monday in response to a question on on fugitive JI leader Mas Selamat. The million dollar reward has been put up by two private individuals who approached the Home Affairs Ministry. DPM Wong said the individuals had asked the ministry to operationalise their proposal because they wished to remain anonymous to protect themselves, families or business interests in the region from becoming a target for retaliation. The House was also reminded that the Singapore Police Force, as a policy does not offer cash rewards for information on fugitives and unsolved crimes, or for assistance from the public. However, the authorities do not object if private corporations and individuals wish to offer cash reward as a labour-supply company and a non-government organisation did in March, offering $50,000 and $5,000 respectively for information on Mas Selamat. On the whereabouts of Mas Selamat, the DPM said that up till now, Singapore's security agencies have not received any information from their Indonesian counterparts to confirm that the JI fugitive is hiding in Indonesia. Neither has domestic intelligence shown that the Singapore JI leader has left the country. "We obviously cannot dismiss the possibility that Mas Selamat could have managed to escape Singapore for another country. Singapore is not a fortress" added Mr Wong. However, if Mas Selamat has escaped abroad, DPM Wong said Singapore will work with the relevant foreign counterparts to track him down and bring him back into custody in Singapore. Given the time since Mas Selamat's escape, the scenario of Mas Selamat being harboured by sympathisers inside or outside Singapore must logically be treated as increasingly plausible although there is no intelligence at present to substantiate it.

  16. Prepare you kamasutra skills,lights,camera....ACTION !!! BEWARE Probe into report of spy cameras in hotel rooms SHAH ALAM, MALAYSIA: The state government will investigate claims that some budget hotels in the state have installed hidden cameras in rooms to capture sexual acts of unsuspecting couples. The images are then said to be burnt onto video compact discs and sold. State Tourism, Environment and Consumer Affairs Committee chairman Elizabeth Wong said she would be holding meetings with the Association of Budget Hotels soon to determine if the allegations were true. "Such activities can adversely affect tourism and cannot be condoned." As a matter of policy, closed-circuit television cameras should only be installed at the entrance of hotels and hallways, but never in rooms, Wong said after the weekly state executive council meeting. The matter came to light yesterday in a Harian Metro front-page report which claimed some budget hotels in several states had hidden cameras installed in rooms for the purpose of recording the sexual activities of guests. The report stated that the recordings were then sold to DVD and VCD pirates for between RM1,000 and RM3,000. On another matter, state Local Government and Research Committee chairman Ronnie Liu said a show-cause letter had been issued to a newly-appointed local councillor in Klang who allegedly stopped enforcement officers from demolishing a tea stall purportedly belonging to his daughter. -NST ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Cops to probe filming of sexual acts at budget hotels By DHARMENDER SINGH THE police will investigate claims that budget hotels in Klang are being used to film couples having sex before selling the footage to pornographic VCD and DVD sellers. Klang OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Mat Yusop said police had not received any reports of rooms at budget hotels in Klang being fitted with hidden cameras to capture couples in action before this. "The report in the Malay daily is the first that we have heard of such incidents taking place and since it is illegal to have such cameras in hotel rooms we will definitely carry out investigation soon," he said. He said fitting rooms with cameras without the knowledge of the occupants was a serious offence as it was an invasion of privacy. He said the making and selling of pornographic VCDs and DVDs was another offence and the police wanted to put a stop to it if the claims were true. He said police would also interview the journalist who wrote the article to shed more light on the matter and assist in investigations. It was reported in a Malay daily yesterday that some budget hotels in Klang had special rooms fitted with hidden cameras placed in the television set and the air-condition unit. The DVDs and VCDs were sold for between RM10 and RM18 each and featured mostly teenagers and students from institutions of higher learning. The journalist, who claimed to have gone undercover and spoken to some hotel owners, wrote that a 23 volume set of DVDs of the sex romp was worth up to RM3,000, besides the royalties on each copy sold. -The Star Source:http://www.asiaone.com/Travel/News/Story/A...0710-75804.html

  19. Teacher wanted to be a sex slave A Melbourne female teacher charged with sexually penetrating a 15-year-old student urged the boy to treat her like a sex slave, court documents show. Nazira Rafei, 25, who is a teacher at a Melbourne high school, is charged with one count of sexually penetrating a child under 16 and four counts of an indecent act with a child under 16. She is also charged with trying to conceal the relationship by making an unwarranted demand on the boy. During a brief filing hearing at the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Friday, her lawyer, Steve Pica, indicated Rafei would plead not guilty. "This case is likely to attract a fair degree of media attention," Mr Pica told the court. "I do want to place on the record that my client has been fully cooperative with police and is pleading not guilty." Police charge sheets tendered to the court allege she had sexual intercourse with a child under her "care, supervision or authority". On another occasion, it is alleged, the teacher told the student to "treat her like a sex slave" as she lay on top of him pinching his nipples in the back seat of her car. Another charge relates to the teacher allegedly kissing the student on his lips and touching his genitals through clothing. The case was adjourned for committal mention on August 29 at the same court. Fantasy story deh.... If she pretty then I oso want to be the student

  21. Have read a number of similar cases over here where by both parties dispute after sex and one party, usually the guy would end up in trouble. But if such contract were introduced, then making love is like business dealing, strange isn't it?? http://www.asiaone.com/News/Latest%2BNews/...0406-58257.html MP wants women to sign sex contract SHOULD men get their partners to sign a 'contract' before sex to protect them from being falsely accused of rape? -TNP Sun, Apr 06, 2008 The New Paper SHOULD men get their partners to sign a 'contract' before sex to protect them from being falsely accused of rape? That is what South Australian MP Ann Bressington suggested yesterday. The Independent MP said this in response to proposed laws that would make an offence for someone to continue having sex with a person if that person changes his or her mind, reported The Australian. She said that men needed to be protected from those laws. She said in parliament: 'Perhaps this parliament could devise a contract which men could carry around in their pocket, next to their condoms. 'The contract may contain the name and address of the women... clauses that state that the woman has or has not been drinking or taking drugs... and that she consents to foreplay.' When quizzed further about the contract idea on ABC radio yesterday morning, she said she was serious because it would prevent men from being falsely accused. Other MPs, however, support the proposed change in the law. Independent MP Kris Hanna told ABC News : 'I've been pushing for this law reform for five years.' He said: 'We (wanted to) overcome men being able to get off by saying, 'I believed that she consented' when in fact it was preposterous to believe that in the circumstances, like the woman was asleep or unconscious through drinking or whatever.
  22. Read ESPN Soccernet this morning and was The headline read : "McClaren out to 'prove people wrong' as manager" quote: "Former England boss Steve McClaren believes he can 'prove people wrong' and still be a successful manager. The 46-year-old is looking for an opportunity to get back into management and has taken encouragement from his England predecessor Sven-Goran Eriksson, who has impressed this season in charge of Manchester City. McClaren told Setanta Sports: 'It didn't help that we [England] didn't succeed. That is a huge disappointment and it will take a while to settle that down, to get that out of my system as well as everyone else's. 'But I just want to get back into the game. 'I have said it before - I think I am a better manager for those 18 months. McClaren admits he is concerned for the future of the English national side due to the quality of coaches and players available. 'International football is a completely different level. It is 10 times the standard of domestic football and the only thing that emulates that is Champions League." , McClown, McClown....... you are laughing at yourself. Look at yourself when you are at Boro before coming in as England Manager and now you blame the standard & quality of coaches and players available at clubs. Then, what was you doing when you are at Boro ?????? Yak...yak...yak... and you still think that you are great....
