My boot latch died on me this afternoon. Was in the midst of washing my car, when I need to open the boot to get some stuff & discovered that I can no longer open my boot ! KNS, the boot release latch for Octy so flimsy meh ? Now I can only open my boot by 1) folder down my rear seat 2) crawl into the boot 3) manually release the latch from inside But the problem is that the boot cover is so heavy that when the latch rest on the hook, its hooked on (but not completely locked). Hence, I need 2 persons to open the boot now. One to manually release the latch from inside & another to keep the bloody boot open ! Going to CA tomorrow morning to see if they'll honour the warranty or tell me c0ck & bull story. I wonder if they have parts for it or I'll have to wait a couple of weeks to get it done ! No problems with my previous 2 Jap rides but so fast the boot release latch on the Skoda mati already. Any of you faced this problem before ?

Booked a PI Suzuki Swift Sport! Only 1 year warranty from the PI (They said is bcos performance car) ? Where Champion Motor offer 3 year warranty! Anyone encounter this issues for PI or PI can offer 3 year too????

Dear all, I have something that need your advice... I am currently driving a nissan sunny, <2.5 years old but exceeded 60k mileage (currently ~62k). My car has been having some very loud kok kok kok sound from the front of the car when travelling on uneven surface. I believe this was there since the 1st few months i collect this car. However, i wasn't know that this is something wrong on the car until a friend of mine sit in my car yesterday and commented that he had exactly the same problem last time and it is something wrong with the front suspension. So now, i need to send my car to tan chong for repair. I am worry that they might not honor free repair and my car exceeded 60k milleage although only <2.5 years old... What do you guys think? Thanks!

Hi bros, for those who have purchased car from PI, especially the not so common ones like MR-S, how is your experience in claiming for warranty items? What are the procedure? If you have good experience, would appreciate if you could name the PI as well. I am contemplating a purchase but wanted to gather more info before going in. Thanks

Everyone please take note if you are considering to fix HO. DON'T!! I had a bad experience w HO. Upon receiving my car (pre-fixed w HO thru BMotors) I noticed a couple of air bubbles & peeling at the edges. Just fix & peeling, imagine after 2 yrs the film would look like sxxt! Anyway inform Infra via BM when doing 1k servicing. They did not replace but cut off the peeling edge! The best part the tried to CON me saying that they replaced the film. They must think customers like me are BLIND & RETARDED ! Told off the supervisor & they immediately replaced it. Problem now is after 1.5 mths, I noticed another peeling at the edge. And I found out when browsing their warranty that altho' stated 10 yrs, but in the sticker fine print, it over rule the 10 yrs warranty by stating that they reserve the right to refuse replacement file after 30 days! Or they can charge a norminal fee for replacement. sxxt ! spending $900 for shitty workmanship & now getting screw by them with fake warranty! Arrghhh, should have stick w V-Kool or Cool Lite. Or even X brand as long as workmanship is good. So please do tempt fate just avoid Huper Optik unless u enjoy being SCREWED!! [bigcry]

Hi all, Is it right of dealer to void a car warranty just because the owner didn't go back to the dealer for regular servicing but instead, service the car using outside workshops? Isn't the price we paid for our car already covered the cost of the dealer to offer warranty coverage during the warranty period?

Bros / Sis, Before I start to drink 'poison', I would like to find out if I were to do any upgrade or mod to my new car, will it void the warranty from SA. Upgrades or mods like: 1. Rims 2. Tyres 3. Grounding 4. Spark plugs 5. Z-stab or other similar products. 6. Other cosmetics (e.g. scuffs, lights, etc) Please help me and other first time car owners to be penny wise...scared to void warranty just because of 'poison'...

hi need advise, my civic come with reverse sensor. I just remove it and install a new parking sensor. Will this void my warranty from kah motors?? I install a new parking sensor that have 2 front and 2 back sensor with a small LCD screen in front that show your car position when it is near a object in both front and back for $200 Merit 1) Damm stylo man, cool device 2) You know how near the object are as it is indicated on the LCD display 3) Good for parallel parking as it have both front and back 4) The back sensors is activated reverse gear Stupid 1) The front sensor is activated when you step on brake which mean when you are at a traffic light the front sensor is activated and if someone walk past it within 80 cm it will beep. Only can turn on/off sound. If only they can implement just to turn on reverse sensor or turn on parking sensor(front also) then it will be perfect. Currently only can turn on and off the sound. Anyway I know about this since I saw it on my cousin car and decide to go ahead as I find it quite cool. Anyway back to my question will this void my warranty from Kah Motors?

Hello All, Those driving Kia or Lancer, just wondering if I send my car for servicing at other centres other then C&C, do I void my warrenty ? Any of u ever tried bringing their own engine oil to C&C for servicing before ? If u have, which servicing center issit and any contacts ? Just that their labor fees and engine oil is simply too expensive ... Thanks.

Any of You heard of or exeprience the extended warranty plan the TC had for the nissan rides. Was thinking of getting one for my wheels but jusy afraid of the problem associate with the claim later. Issue like this is due to wear and tear and not becuase of mechanical failure ....etc. Defeating the purpose of extending the warranty for two years and can cost abt 800+, further more there is adeductible for all claim amounting to 100-200 depending on the system. Comments guys ??

Dear all, heard recently that some distributors frown on the 'alternate servicing' practice by their customers. i.e. the customer service the car alternately between the distributor and workshops outside. When there are major issues with the gearbox (for example), they may check on the last service date and see if there's any missed service on the schedule with the distributor. If there is, they may use it as an excuse to reject the customers' request to replace the gearbox. (so it says in the warranty policy) So, if you have been practicing this and worry for the future, its time to switch back to 'doing the right thing'. Just like SAF... 'You can do anything as long as you don't get caught.' eddie

Hi...... went to the workshop to check whether basic modification will affect the validity of the warranty...........The answer was "Its depend on case by case basis"......There is no fast rules to say that changing K&N filter will void your warranty......the technical officer told me that if changing spark plugs should be ok, however, if it is not install properly or not done correctly, theu may need to take a look at the warranty again...... My opinion is to stay simple til the warranty expires before start to do basic mod......Moreover, new car performance tends to be better at the begining stage...So just sit back and relax first lorrrr
