just a facebook post i saw and thought itl be good to share here for those with elderly parents n never knew abt this function cos i dont. i dont have an apple watch too becos im using android. it might be useful for those with elderly parents. track their location?? setup the hard fall detection. now my question is the watch is badly damaged on the face hence it can detect a hard fall but when if the person falls and hit the head without damaging the watch can it still detect? this is still an interesting device to have. always thought it was way too overpriced. there are some cheap smart watches in the market but mayb not withthe same capabilities as the apple watch apple fall detection If Apple Watch Series 4 or later detects a hard fall while you're wearing your watch, it taps you on the wrist, sounds an alarm, and displays an alert. You can choose to contact emergency services or dismiss the alert by pressing the Digital Crown, tapping Close in the upper-left corner, or tapping "I'm OK." If your Apple Watch detects that you're moving, it waits for you to respond to the alert and won't automatically call emergency services. If your watch detects that you have been immobile for about a minute, it will make the call automatically. First of all........ a) I have searched the forum, nothing much about cleaning luxury watch straps (alligator leather to be specific) b) I refrained from posting in the watches thread, as high chance it will get lost within the tons and tons of watch posts... For this matter, if the mods think this is more suitable in the watch thread, pls feel free to merge Any watch experts there has any suggestions/recommendations on how to clean, care and maintain alligator leather watch straps? Mine is a light coloured strap, so I would presume products such as Mink oil doesn't work as it darkens the leather? Also, after each wear, I will wipe the straps with a damp cloth, let it dry, before putting it back to my watch winder, would that suffice? Hi all I am kinda pissed that while other countries broadcast matches fer free we have to pay $112/-. I am already on a VPN and watch Hulu & Netflix movies fer free on my tv and devices. The VPN I use is PIA and fer a cheap $3-5 a month (depending on your plan) I get unrestricted access to servers and websites in US, UK, etc. But you can use any number of VPNs (Hide My Ass, Freedom etc). I have unsubscribed from Starhub fer over a year now and will never ever go back to them. And PIA allows me to load the VPN on upto 5 devices so I can use this on any PC or Laptop at home or on the run. The same concept applies if you wana watch worldcup fer free on your big TV. All you need to start off with is a VPN plan. Hi all was wondering if any bros bought a Seiko Astron. IMHO its the most technologically advanced watch todate with amazing accuracy.
