  3. hi all, im driving a hyundai getz 1.1m for the past 1.5 years, no major issues at all. after 4 dec, every time it rains the water is somehow leaking into the passenger footwell area, and i mean its gushing in. ive dried out the floor mat but the carpet itself is soaked n can only hope for it to dry over time. i have no idea where this leak is and how the water is getting in. i took the car to one workshop, they said that its an aircon issue and they wanna clean out the entire blower, cost S200. took to another worksop, the guy looked at the car for 1 hour but could not find any leak. any kakis or getz owner face this issue before and any way to solve this? any help is appreciated.. even if u can suggest any workshop who have come across something like this. thanks all!

  5. Tried to search for topics with regards to this but couldn't find any. Has anyone here put water into their engines to decarbonise the upper cylinders? Well here I am to share my experience... Been hearing about adding water into the engine and all sorts of amazing things happen... Since the 90s. I have tried nail polish (acetone) into the fuel tank to improve FC, as well as moth balls... Also tried 2T, which I simply love and have started to use racing ester 2T. Love the smell... Lol But I have not tried water into the engine until recently. My engine started to cough during start ups some months ago... I thought it was natural as it was coming of age.... Then when I did my last plug change I realised one of the plugs had a washer failure and leaked. But even after new plugs my engine still couldn't start immediately at 1st crank all of the time. Only maybe like say 30% of the time. So after some research, I decided to feed my trusty engine some water. I bought a small bottle of distiller water from Watsons, and a small spray bottle. Took out the part before my throttle body and after my airflow sensor. Started the engine and it died due to the error readings on the AFS I guess. Started the engine again and sprayed like 2-3 squirts of the water directly into the throttle body... Engine rpm dropped till like it was going to stall for a second or two, then back to normal... Then I would spray again. And repeat this for over 5mins. Then I wiped of the excess water in and around the throttle body, and fixed everything back. Started the engine and did some revving... Note the engine check light might be on and won't go away. You can google how to reset your error codes for your car model, or simply disconnect your battery for some cars. Do note your radio and all will be reset as well. For me I didn't want my ice settings gone so I used the scan gauge to reset my error code. So after I went onto the expressway to try out the difference, I could immediately feel the throttle sharper and more responsive. Over the next few days, ALL I repeat ALL my starts were with 1 crank and my ride was so mush nicer to drive. Felt like a new oil change or new plugs... Lol Now this water thingy will surely not do wonders to a failing engine. But to a good condition engine this made it work better. And I have nothing but good things to say about this. Hydrogen cleaning? What the hell do you call this? Lol. Go search and check out Eric the car guy and many other videos on the water into the engine thing. It's amazing... And there are videos to show how water, hydrogen and oxygen can combust till it removes carbon deposits... We don't need any seafoam or other expensive stuff in the market to do this... Just water... Lol

    Singapore won

Singapore won’t pay tax on its Johor waterworks: Shanmugam Singapore will not pay the raised land assessment tax on its Johor waterworks as a matter of principle, said Minister for Foreign Affairs and Law K. Shanmugam yesterday. The authorities of Kota Tinggi district had sought late last year to double the tax on the Johor River Waterworks, which is owned by national water agency PUB. Underscoring the gravity of the issue, Mr Shanmugam said: "They've issued us further notice saying we are late in payment. If one is bloody-minded about it, I suppose they can seek to levy execution on our waterworks, and then things will get really interesting." He said: "In a normal legal case, if you don't pay tax, somebody goes and attaches and tries to take over the property. We'll have to see whether they want to treat this as a normal case of non-payment and then we'll have to say what our response will be." On Sunday, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong highlighted how vulnerable newly independent Singapore had been, with nearly all its water coming from Johor back then. Mr Lee said at the National Day Rally: "Every now and again, when an issue arose with Malaysia, some crazy politicians would threaten to turn off the tap, to get us in line." http://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/singapore-wont-pay-tax-on-its-johor-waterworks-shanmugam Jin Satki !!!

  12. It makes me wonder what kind of bad chemicals and poison they put into Mac French Fries, that can cause polluted waste water. Me not a chef, but i do know normal washing and slicing potatoes will not produce polluted waste water, unless they have bad chemicals added https://sg.news.yahoo.com/mcdonalds-supplier-gets-beijings-biggest-pollution-fine-xinhua-051741147--finance.html A McDonald's joint venture in China supplying its outlets with French fries has been slapped with a record 3.9 million yuan ($630,000) fine for water pollution, state media reported. The fine levied against Beijing Simplot Food Processing is the largest ever meted out by the city of Beijing for pollution, the official Xinhua news agency said, citing the municipal environmental watchdog. Beijing Simplot Food Processing is a joint venture between US agribusiness concern J.R. Simplot Company, McDonald's and the Beijing Agricultural, Industrial and Commerce General Company, Xinhua said. Established in 1992, Beijing Simplot makes French fries and hash browns for McDonald's, Xinhua said, adding that it also produces them for "other East Asian customers", without elaborating. The fine comes as China cracks down nationwide on air, water and soil pollution amid rising public discontent over health concerns, and national embarrassment of the blight on the image of the world's second-largest economy. A new environmental law -- the first in 25 years -- went into force this year, imposing tougher penalties and pledging that violators will be "named and shamed". Recent studies have shown that roughly two-thirds of China's soil is estimated to be polluted, and that 60 percent of underground water is too contaminated to drink. According to Xinhua, inspectors in November discovered that a water quality indicator in Beijing Simplot Food Processing's waste water exceeded limits and immediately blocked its pipes, ordering it to treat the water at a processing plant. The polluted water flowed into city pipes, the report said, citing a local environmental protection office. In a statement posted on its website on Wednesday, Beijing Simplot Food Processing said it accepted the decision and paid the fine on schedule after having "immediately cooperated" with authorities after the problem was discovered. McDonald's said in a statement e-mailed to AFP that it took the violation "very seriously" and would be monitoring Beijing Simplot's compliance in the future. "All McDonald's suppliers must comply with all relevant local laws and regulations," it said. .

  14. SINGAPORE - Food and beverage outlets at Changi Airport's Terminal 3 (T3) had to halt sales of drinks and soup on Thursday due to issues with the tap water. F&B operators found light brown water flowing out of their taps at about 3pm, and it only started to run clear after 5pm, Lianhe Zaobao reported. But most did not resume sale of drinks and soup even then. The issue had still not been fully resolved by 11pm on Thursday, Zaobao said. This is believed to be the first time there has been an issue with the water supply at the terminal. The airport advised operators and visitors not to drink the water, use it to prepare food, or for cleaning. Changi Airport Group (CAG) distributed bottled water to affected food outlets, employees and airport visitors. F&B operators also turned on their taps so that the brownish water could flow out, as instructed by the authorities. One cafe had put up a sign which read "No Tea, Coffee". Staff at the cafe said they were serving only toast, but the airport had provided bottled water for patrons. There were also signs in T3's toilets reminding visitors not to drink the tap water. Cleaners told visitors to drink the bottled water provided by the airport, which were placed by the sinks. National water agency PUB received a request from CAG at about 7pm on Thursday to provide a temporary water supply, and to check T3's water quality. PUB sent a water wagon to the terminal, and is assisting CAG with water quality tests. Meanwhile, the quality of incoming water supply from the PUB mains was found to be satisfactory. A spokesman from CAG said they will confirm if the water is potable after clear water supply is resumed. - See more at: http://www.straitstimes.com/news/singapore/more-singapore-stories/story/brownish-tap-water-changi-airport-terminal-3-fb-outlets-#xtor=CS1-10

  16. Take note if you had topped up Shell 95 petrol at the Seletar Hill Shell petrol station along YCK -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A manager found his car vibrating uncontrollably, as if "the engine was about to explode", after it was topped up with petrol that had been mixed with water, a report said yesterday. Chinese evening daily Lianhe Wanbao reported that Mr Chen had made a trip to the Seletar Hill Shell petrol station in Yio Chu Kang Road at around 9pm on Monday to refuel his car before heading home. But upon reaching his block in Hougang, the 46-year-old's car started to shake, and the engine began rumbling. The intense shaking of his car, coupled with the noise it was making, made it seem as if the car's fan-belt was about to snap and the engine about to explode, he said. "It was quite terrifying," Wanbao quoted Mr Chen as saying. "At first I thought my car engine was faulty and planned to send it for repair. But at about 2pm the next day when I wanted to drive out to the repair shop, I found I couldn't start my car," he said. "I thought my car had broken down but later I received a call from the petrol station asking if I had refilled my tank there the night before." The petrol station's staff reportedly told Mr Chen that there was a problem - without specifying what it was - and that he had to take the car back for repairs. Mr Chen told the paper that industry experts he spoke to suspected that the petrol pumped into his car had been mixed with water, causing the engine to act up. The petrol station reportedly received complaints from several car owners that there was an issue with the petrol. The paper reported that it remains unclear whether the problem had been caused by an individual or by heavy downpours. Shell was reported to have confirmed that water got into one of its Shell FuelSave 95 petrol tanks at its Seletar Hill outlet. A spokesman said it has stopped selling petrol from that particular tank and that other tanks have not been affected. Shell was said to have started an in-depth investigation into the matter.
