  1. I just saw my workshop mechanic use the high pressure water spray to spray the entire engine and engine bay, including all the components inside. Will this cause any engine bay components, joints, wiring, cables, etc to come dislodged? Will water get into engine block and damage engine? Is high pressure water spray ok for ECU? Will radiator tubes and joints be safe from the high pressure spray? Noob here so please forgive me if the above questions are dumb.
  2. Recently, i was conned into doing up my wifes car in water based paint rather than the time proven regular German or european paint job. I took my car down to a so called reputable shop in the area of Thomson to get my Bodykit and a so called professional paint job done. This is was the start of my problems... The Body kit given to my 1 year old continental car was actually an FRP --that means fibre glass content, the price was ridiculously high, although , i was stupid enough to believe the nice talking SE...without even any credentials ,to entrust my car with them....as they carry a lot of high end brands. The fittings of the work was bad and the paint work shoddy!!! I should have sent my car to those recommended in the internet here!!! I resend my car back to do up at least 7 times ....and the so called manager of the so - called high -tech reputable company can only say that it was state of the art, thus require more time! More time!!! Hows this for more time?? A panel or 2 to be redone requires another 5 days of down time!! Whats more, the finishing under scrutiny with my untrained eye showed UNEVENESS in the colour and last of all SWIRL marks which was still there..... WTF!!!! The entire car was done in a "record" time of almost one month!! Not that it wasn't my fault in the first place....should have gone back to the one in Eunos to redo, now on hindsight against my better judgement!! Thats it for me ---water based crap paint... I wont even recommend them to my friends!! Now my paint job is still BLURRY ! and the shine is Crap!!! After checking up the info by the net ,,,water based paints are only used cause there will be less lead or toxins released to the atmosphere ,,so the Earth will be greener. SO WHAT!!! My car still is crappy and i should have stuck to the regular European time proven ones!! Sheeezzesh!!!! Any one here has the same BAD experience or is it only me??
  3. Hi bros, Any idea how can i remove watermarks or waterspots from a white car? Havent got time to maintain and the paintwork got bad... Thks yea...

  5. Morning all, I need some help and would appreciate some sharing of useful advises. Recently I notice water marks/stain beginning to appear on my shower screen. When I tried to dry the shower screen, I see small white patches of water stain. I tried scrubbing and cleaning it with vinegar and clif but to no avail. Anyone encounter such issue? Any advise? Thank you in advance
  6. It was raining very heavily and my car was running at almost empty tank. There was a petrol station in sight but the station was undergoing a partial renovation with some areas closed. There were only 2 pumps and the pumps were not too well-sheltered from the extremely heavy rain. I managed to squeeze my car into the limited space to fill the tank with petrol. I am feeling rather paranoid about rain water getting into the fuel tank during the refilling process (although it may not be the case). I am sure many drivers have experienced such a situation before. What are the symptoms if rain water really gets into the tank? What are the potential damages and what would be a cheap way to rectify it?

  10. Shocking: Workers bathed in water tanks after sex, say Woodlands residents Posted on 08 Jun 2011 on STOMP After the discovery of a maid's body in a rooftop water tank in Woodlands, shocking revelations were made by residents. Some even suspect that workers bathe in the water tanks after late night trysts with women. A 30-year-old Indonesian maid was allegedly murdered by her 27-year-old Bangladeshi boyfriend on May 16. Her body was dumped in a water tank on the rooftop of Block 686B Woodlands Drive 73. According to a Lianhe Wanbao report, 150 residents gathered at a dialogue session with the town council management, Public Utilities Board (PUB) representatives and residents

  15. Hoping to reach people who might have experienced my problem yesterday. I pumped petrol yesterday morning 30 May, topping up with octane 98 fuel at a certain petrol station in Northeastern part of S'pore. Car engine has been working perfectly with no issue whatsover before and was serviced 2 weeks before. Car engine vibrated violently and stalled after leaving petrol station less than 1 km. Car is stranded in the middle of the road and could not move. Had the car towed to agent's workshop as my car is just over 1 1/2 yrs old. By afternoon, it was discovered that my petrol tank contained 'a lot of water' with the petrol in the tank. Reported to petroleum company yesterday evening. They conducted an investigation by taking samples from the storage tank of said petrol station but reported to me and the workshop this afternoon that intitial study done and said 'nothing wrong with the petrol'. I insisted that they send somebody down to my workshop and look at the car's damage and evidence. And I should think there should be more victims out there because that is a popular petrol station in a middle class housing estate, which has undergone massive renovation works for weeks and just reopened for business yesterday 30 May. If any driver reading this thread, has similar experience with engine stalling soon after pumping petrol yesterday, please PM me to verify whether we had top-ups at the same petrol station. No jokes or unsavoury comments please. Thank you.
