My opinion: I agree that an 'excessive price fall' is unlikely. I'm thinking of 8-10 percent. PAP really don't want the bubble to burst. They want to let it slowly deflate. The article does not account of foreigners leaving. And of all those that came, how many plan on actually buying and staying here for good? Definition of foreigners? PRs only? Or including EP/WP? It is ridiculous to include foreign labourers in his number of foreigners, but maybe he excluded them already?

Just curious....anyone brought their shirts recently? especially those smart casual range? i brought 3 shirts last end of yr and noticed all of them shrink and i feel so tight wearing them. i sent my shirts to G2K and 2 weeks later, they called to tell me cotton material will shrink PERIOD. So there I go .. lan lan. when i told them i can fit in 15.5 at their boutique, she told me because its not yet wash. LOL

A fren of mine just bought a 40 yo flats for close to $500k. Taking into consideration that all flat are 99 yr lease. She is now close to 50yr old. Let says that if she will to sell her flat in 20 yrs time, her unit will be 60 yrs old, with the lease remaining for 39 yrs. How much do you think that her flat will fetch? 600K or less than 400K??

I'm coming back to SG soon and during my vacation I bought loads of DVDs and BDs as their local HMV store having clearance. As I'm packing now, I realised I had over 14 DVD cases in my lugguage! Will I get into trouble in customs? I know if it's 3 ot 4 I'm safe as I've done it before but 14 boxes!!! Anyone done it before? Got problem? My DVDs and BDs are originals with the country's approved ratings (all non-R rated) crossing my fingers

Watched a repeat of TopGear (episod in china) and the 3 men condemned whatever cars made in china. I think today, china's cars are not really up to international standard yet in terms of safety, performance, etc but since these B&B cars are for their domestic markets where the majority of buyers dont really know anything better, china car makers will continue to churn out millions of mediocre cars yet still find buyers queue up, end of the days making tons of money. Is there a incentive for them to make better cars, to match the quality/performance etc of say VW etc, let alone the highend conti/jap/korean cars? Those china buyers who have the taste / money for better cars, in typical chinese 'culture', will buy imported cars, coz no china car makers have the prestige / history / brandnames to attract buyers who want not only good cars, but also 'face'/status only brands like Merc/BWM (RR also) etc could provide. Patrioism is more or less non existent when it comes to the rich, except state owned companies buying mic highend cars for their bosses? Bottomline, will it be almost unforeseable china made cars will ever match the quality / status of highend foreign-made cars? not in the next 10/20 years? The expanding domestic B&B car markets are big enough to occupy them for a long time, export is hardly something they have time to think about.
