  1. April 4, 2008 M'sian woman sues husband over losing virginity KUALA LUMPUR - A MALAYSIAN woman is suing her husband for nearly a million dollars over the loss of her virginity, a report said. The New Straits Times said on Friday the 30-year-old teacher is claiming RM3 million (S$1.3 million) in damages for false promises over their marriage, which collapsed after her in-laws disapproved. It said the pair consummated their relationship after dating for a few months, then legally registered their marriage, but they never went through the customary Chinese marriage rites. 'What she has is a marriage on paper only. It's not the kind we all know and the kind all women want. It's a marriage obtained by misrepresentation,' her lawyer, Mr Ernest Chua, told the daily. The in-laws began pressuring their son to divorce, according to the bride, who named in them in the suit for 'inducing their son to breach the contract of marriage' and for causing her 'humiliation and mental torture'. The woman has also asked the court to declare the marriage null and void. -- AFP http://www.straitstimes.com/Latest%2BNews/...96.html?vgnmr=1 after the mongolian model, her one must b gold plated...

  4. In this society, people always link high earning power to owning a big nice car...and this, in general, link more to the man...however, on the otherside of the coin, when we see a woman (age below 30 years old) driving a big nice car that not many people can afford, we tend to think otherwise. It could be ''sour grapes' effect...but it voice down to the immediately thoughs that comes to our little mind...this is a poll that classify how we react to this.
  5. Driver says: Imagine my shock when I read in the papers how serious her injuries were... MY HEART SANK By Chong Shin Yen December 19, 2007 HE knocked down an elderly woman with his lorry, and its rear wheels ran over her legs. But Madam Neo Siew Eng, 68, was able to get up on her own. He then gave her $50 and left. The driver, Tan Boon Hoh, 43, did not know that Madam Neo had fractured a pelvic bone. She died three weeks later and her family blamed him for not helping her seek medical help immediately. Last Friday, Tan was fined $1,000 for causing grievous hurt by negligence. Before sentencing him, District Judge Hamidah Ibrahim said that there was no evidence to link Madam Neo's death directly to the accident. Tan, a bread delivery man, later told The New Paper that he was not being irresponsible when he allowed her to leave on her own. Said Tan: 'I had wanted to send her to hospital, but she looked perfectly fine, other than a few scratches on her arms, and she said there was no need to. 'She could also stand up on her own and was able to walk off after talking to me.' Madam Neo was on her way to the market to buy breakfast for her husband and family. After the accident, she hobbled in pain back to her Jurong East flat about 400m away. A neighbour who saw her outside her front door then called the police and ambulance. Madam Neo was discharged from hospital two days later but her condition later took a turn for the worse. She died of bronchopneumonia (severe infection of the lungs) on 28 Jun. Tan said he found out about her death only from the newspapers. The police also called him to inform him. REVERSING LORRY 'Imagine my shock when I read in the papers how serious her injuries were. My heart sank, I didn't expect things to take such a turn,' said Tan. 'I felt that my actions had caused someone her life - whether directly or indirectly - and that I should visit the family to apologise.' Tan said his manager advised him not to go and instead he went on Tan's behalf.' The court heard that Tan had been reversing his lorry along the carpark driveway of Block 238, Jurong East Street 21, around 7.30am on 8 Jun. Madam Neo was crossing behind his vehicle at that time but he did not see her because a box on the lorry blocked his view. When he looked into the rear mirror, he saw that someone had fallen to the ground. Tan got down to check on Madam Neo and gave her $50 before they left separately. When asked by the judge how fast his lorry was moving, Tan replied that it was very slow. He told the court: 'If not, she would not be able to get up and speak to me'. Tan, who did not have a lawyer, added that he had asked Madam Neo in Hokkien what she was doing behind his lorry. But Madam Neo replied that she 'didn't know'. Said Tan: 'So I told her it was better that she sought medical attention. It was then that she asked me for money. I gave her $50, which was all I had that day.' He added that after receiving the money, Madam Neo walked away on her own. And seeing that she was all right, he continued his bread deliveries. Tan went to make a police report later that day. He pleaded with the court not to disqualify his driving licence as it was his livelihood, and the judge agreed. Tan could have been jailed two years and fined. Speaking outside the courtroom, Tan said that he felt 'vindicated'. He said he was sorry that Madam Neo had died and that the accident had been weighing heavily on his mind. 'If I had meant to run away or act in an irresponsible way, I would not have gone to the police station after the accident,' he said. He has been working as a delivery driver for 15 years and earns $1,200 a month. He is the sole breadwinner of the family. He said: 'The licence is my rice bowl. I have only Primary 5 education and I really do not know what I else I can do besides being a driver.' Tan said that his wife, 34, suffers from heart disease and needs to go for an operation soon. He had earlier submitted her medical reports to the court. She is unable to work because of her health. The couple have three children aged between 3 and 11. 'Now that I'm able to keep my job, I'll try to put this matter behind me,' he said. In a report in The New Paper in July, Madam Neo's family had accused Tan of being 'irresponsible and heartless' for not seeking medical help for her. When contacted, her eldest daughter, housewife Tan Lay Tin, 51, said they were still upset with Tan. 'A life has been lost. We're still angry that he did not call for an ambulance immediately after the accident,' she said. 'My mother was so old and even if she had appeared fine, the least he could have done was to send her for a check-up.' CONSIDERATE But she agreed that it was possible that her mother had turned down Tan's offer to send her to the hospital. 'My mother was a kind old lady, maybe she did not want to trouble him,' she said. Madam Tan added that when her mother was hospitalised, she had urged her children not to look for the driver. She also told them not to 'bring charges against him' http://newpaper.asia1.com.sg/news/story/0,...,151039,00.html?

  9. An interesting story...... A Malaysian woman who had sex with a houseguest says she mistakenly thought the man was her husband and has filed a complaint that she was raped, police said Tuesday. The 40-year-old housewife in eastern Terengganu state alleged that her husband was away at work when she went to bed early Friday morning after making preparations for the annual Eid al-Fitr festival that weekend, said K. Manoharan, Terengganu deputy criminal investigation chief. An hour later, she claimed a man whom she thought was her husband snuggled into bed and that they had sex although she didn't see his face, he said. She only realized her mistake when her husband returned and asked her about seeing their guest, who is his colleague, leaving her room, he said. The couple later lodged a complaint with police that she was raped, Manoharan said. "We are a bit suspicious on the claims made by the victim. It's strange _ a woman not knowing if it's her husband or not," Manoharan told the Associated Press. None of the three people were identified. Police questioned the guest, a 29-year-old laborer who has been staying with the couple for the past two months, and released him on bail, he said. Investigations are continuing, he said, declining to give further information. http://sg.news.yahoo.com/ap/20071016/tap-a...an-b3c65ae.html

  11. Dunno if this topic has been posted. Couldn't find it so am putting up now... Anybody read the ST today? Home section carried a story of a repo man suing this Aunty for causing damage to his vehicle. Story goes like this...Repo man spots one vehicle he supposed to repo (Mitsubishi Evo 7 BTW), and park in front blocking the car's exit. Repo man talks to guy in car who turns agressive and starts shouting and this drew the woman's attention. She ran out from somewhere and created a scene. Seems she's the car owner (a Mits Evo 7!!!??) Repo man insists he called tow truck, not going to move his car...Woman turns hysterical, climbs onto repo man's civic, and starts jumpin on the roof! video captured in Stomp...submitted as evidence. Repo man subsequently sue her for causing damages. Woman, while in court, cross examine repo man, asking him if he authorised to repo her car la, if he working for the bank lah etc etc...Jusge slams her telling her these are IRRELEVANT! Why? Becos the case against her is for her action of Mischief and causing damages to repoman's car! This story made me laugh non-stop...I hope the judge whack the aunty hard...Dun know how to think and behave at her age...

  13. it was about 12:45pm and towards direction of eunos from hougang, im was on a cab. it was before comfort driving centre, when from the corner of my eye, i saw something dart )out and this INSANE spacewagon GLXi (blue/white) suddenly cut into the lane of the cabby at a sharp angle at rather high speed (i was the front side passenger and the distance between them was really short, at most 10cm) cabby braked. we didnt even managed to catch a glimpse of the driver and he commented he got a shock. If the cabby didnt give way, sure hit, Then the cabby gave chase, cant even really catch up until she was blocked by traffic conditions and from behind we saw her crazy antics, (the road infront of comfort driving centre and kah motors, the jam is terrible ya know): saddling 2 lanes, couldnt decide which lane to take and moving back. and cutting from left lane to the first lane in one go all without signalling happened lots of times In short, reckless, lack of sound judgement and stupid. Felt angry and disgusted at this kinda behaviour. So bloody irresponsible, what if she causes an accident? But now looking back, she might have an emergency? You'll never know. But still thats not reason enough to drive recklessly.
