  1. http://www.divaasia.com/article/14475 Finances are top stumbling block to marriage by Sophie Hong THE majority of single Singapore women still hope to get married between the ages of 25 and 30, despite national statistics showing a trend of them putting off marriage. In a recent straw poll done by my paper of 70 single women aged 35 years old and below, 57 women indicated that they hope to tie the knot eventually. However, their dreams of attaining marital bliss are obscured by financial woes and finding that elusive Mr Right. Among the reasons why they remain single, 32 women said that it is because they have yet to find the right partner. Others who hold white-collar jobs with a monthly income of more than $2,000 stated that they are looking to establish a career first before shifting their focus to their love lives. "Women are getting more educated, compared to the past. Now, more Singaporean women hold master's or PhD degrees," said Ms Violet Lim, founder of dating agency Lunch Actually. According to the Census of Population 2010, women make up almost half of university graduates in Singapore. To top it off, the number of female doctoral-degree students at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) has gradually climbed, from 31 per cent to 35 per cent over the last five years. NTU has also enrolled more than 4,000 female students in its postgraduate courses in the last academic year. Meanwhile, 38 per cent of the students who enrolled in a postgraduate programme at Singapore Management University last September are female. Similarly, the National University of Singapore (NUS) saw an 83 per cent increase in its number of female doctoral-degree students, compared to 2005. The time taken to complete a postgraduate programme can range from one to five years. Ms Lim said: "When you have spent so much time on your education, you would want to build up a career first before moving on to relationships." However, there might be factors other than a higher education that have contributed towards women becoming more career-minded as well as an increase in the number of career- minded women. Said Associate Professor Tan Ern Ser of NUS' Department of Sociology: "Singaporean women also value their independence, which would be compromised if they take on the role of both a wife and a mother." Women are also delaying marriage due to finances, with 29 women polled saying that their biggest concern is whether they have enough savings. A further 13 women worry about being unable to afford a house. Among the 70 women polled, 64 earn a monthly income of less than $4,000. "A house is an investment, and if I'm going to be spending a small fortune on it, I want to make sure that it is in a good location," said 24-year-old operations executive Stephanie Kay. She added that she may still need financial help from her parents after marriage if she wants "a decent place". Said Ms Kay: "I would feel comfortable letting my husband be the sole breadwinner only if he earns $20,000 a month." Ms Lim also commented on what former prime minister Lee Kuan Yew said to a 27-year-old female PhD student during a university dialogue held at NTU on Sept 5. Mr Lee had advised the unmarried student not to waste time starting a family, as it was "more important and more satisfying than your PhD". Ms Lim said: "I can tell you, from my experience in the industry, that there is truth to what he said. Time is not on our side." She added: "It might be a good strategy for men to focus on their careers before their relationships, but that is not the case for women." Ms Lim stressed that having a career and a love life are not mutually exclusive, and finding a balance between the two is not impossible. "Be disciplined in setting aside time to go out, relax and socialise," she advised. Survey of 70 single women aged 35 and below 57 women plan to get married. Out of these, 44 plan to have kids; 42 plan to tie the knot before they turn 30 years of age; and 26 plan to have children two years after their wedding. 13 women say they do not plan to get married. They cite reasons such as the cost of living and that Singapore men are boring. 32 women say they are single because they have yet to find the right partner. Another 20 say they are focusing on their careers while 12 women say they are focusing on their education. These women are aged between 21 and 30 years old. Six women cite following reasons why they are single: They are uninterested in dating; they do not have enough time for relationships; and there are not enough eligible men in Singapore. 42 women say they worry about financial matters when it comes to marriage. Their biggest concerns are whether they have enough savings (29) and whether they have the means to buy a house (13). 35 women say they will consider having children if they are offered better maternity benefits. These benefits include longer maternity leave, equal chances of promotion when they return to work and a bigger Baby Bonus.
  2. Many a times I have observed that both men and women have the same behavior and or thinking. Eg: over suspicious, over reacting among others. Let us learn from our opposite sex. Why do some guys or some girls do this and that? What is the reason behind? As much as guys always complain that they don't know what's in the girls mind. I can tell you that sometimes girls too got no idea what is in the guys mind.
  3. SINGAPORE: Forget designer shoes and handbags. More affluent women in the Asia Pacific region are splurging instead on high-end performance cars. The world of hot wheels is no longer just for the men. Meet business consultant Nguyen Tuyet, who drives a Porsche 911-GT3, a street legal race car. She has even beaten men with her super fast timings on the Formula One Spa Track in Belgium. Nguyen said: "I was always interested in driving fast. I would prefer to go for a driver training or go for a tracking in Europe than buy a handbag." She also disclosed how fast a motorist can easily chalks up. Nguyen said: "On a straight (road), you can reach 300. That's the thing about women. We don't check the absolute speed. We drive and we just want it to be smooth." Rich women buying luxury fast cars is the latest trend throughout the Asia Pacific, especially China, where women make up one-third of Maserati sales. And two in 10 Ferrari buyers are female. In Singapore, women bought nearly 30 percent of the 300 Porsches sold in the first half of 2011. Christer Ekberg, Managing Director of Porsche Asia Pacific, said: "Female drivers appreciate different things. We do a lot of collaborations and joint venture activities with other companies that cater to female customers. "We even have customers who want their car, the interior leather of the car, in the same colour as their favourite lipstick or their favourite handbag." Porsche expects the female market share to grow to 40 percent in the next 10 years. - CNA/de http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/sin...1149586/1/.html
  4. http://lifestyle.msn.co.nz/nzmenslifestyle...h-on-gps-advice Woman drives rental car into marsh on GPS advice By MSN NZ 12:00 AEST Fri Jun 17 2011 A driver has highlighted humanity's growing dependence on technology when she drove her rental car into a US marsh while following directions from her GPS. The Mexican woman's road journey came a cropper while driving to her hotel in Bellevue, in Washington state, where she was attending a conference. The driver and her two female passengers were returning to the hotel from dinner in the Mercedes rental when they became lost and tried to use the Hertz-provided GPS. The woman told police she was following the satellite navigator's instructions but must have made a wrong turn just after midnight on Wednesday. One woman exited the Mercedes as soon as it entered the water while the other two tried to stay with the car as long as they could, climbing onto the side door frames. But they eventually abandoned the vehicle as it drifted out towards the centre of the marsh. A local fire official said the women were trying to reroute their path when they came upon a boat ramp near the entrance to a highway, and apparently kept driving into the water. "I don't know why they wouldn't question driving into a puddle that doesn't seem to end," the official told US network ABC News . "In sitcoms they parody something like this. To actually see it is surprising". No one was injured in the incident but the costly Mercedes four-wheel drive could be destined for the scrap heap.
  5. Very old news but always good to remind the tiko rangers again. ----- Women set up website to catch men in Geylang inSing.com Editor InSing.com - 16 hrs 46 mins ago Geylang Checker posts photos of men and their cars, complete with license plate numbers for wives to check on them. A group of women has banded together to catch "cheating men" in Geylang. They are now recruiting and even analysing their "enemy" - The prostitutes in Geylang! "Geylang Checker" was set up late last year. The site is dedicated to catching men who visit Geylang for sex. Photographs of these men and their cars, complete with license plate numbers, are posted on the group's website for wives to check their "hubby's claim of doing overtime". Recently, the website posted recruitment ads for "female Geylang checkers" and men to be consultants to understand the "deepest mind of cheating men". A picture of a Geylang prostitute in a bra has been posted on the website for the women to assess their enemy. According to the website, the photo reveals the "standards of the girl in Geylang". The website adds, "To win them, we must know them." According to the website, "Geylang Checker" was set up by an attractive woman who was cheated on by her boyfriend. She laments that she is unable to understand why her man had to visit prostitutes while he was with her. The site has received considerable attention. Men who frequent Geylang have sent the group hate mail filled with vulgarities, while wives have sent messages to thank them for their efforts.
  6. 90% of them don't make police report??? ---- 24 women raped last year: Aware AsiaOne Tue, Jun 07, 2011 Tweet SINGAPORE - TWENTY-FOUR women said that they were raped last year, and about 20 of these women said they allowed their attackers to escape scot-free. This is according to women's advocacy group, Aware. The group also said that they get an average of 20 such cases on their hotline a year. Chinese evening daily Lianhe Wanbao reported that some of the women had sought help from Aware after they were sexually assaulted within three days of the attack, and the reasons they did not report about the attacks immediately included feeling afraid, feeling ashamed or even blaming themselves. One of the victims only revealed her predicament 10 years after she was assaulted. Aware's executive director Corinna Lim said that of the 24 women who called its hotline last year, a majority were encouraged to do so by their boyfriends or husbands. The women often cited friends or relatives, and colleagues or men they went out on dates with as their attackers. A few were assaulted by their husbands. Some of them were attacked after they had been drinking. Some of the women only called Aware's hotline three days after their attack. About 90 per cent of the women did not make a police report. The victims often said they were confused, lost sleep over the matter, and could not remember details of their attack. Some even became depressed. Ms Lim told Lianhe Wanbao: "If the women who were assaulted do not seek help, it will be very difficult for them to move on. We even had one caller who was attacked 10 years ago." To help these women who feel at a loss after being sexually assaulted, Aware has set up the Sexual Assault Befrienders Service, or SABS, to offer assistance to victims. If you wish to contact Aware at the SABS hotline, you can do so at from Mondays to Fridays at the following telephone numbers: 6779 7137, from 10am to 3pm, or 1800-7745935, from 3pm to 9.30pm.

  8. another tiko thread for the bros with female bosses. ----- A new survey has found that high-earning, successful women are every bit as willing as their male counterparts to use their power to attract younger lovers for quick flings. A new study has suggested that women are inherently no more virtuous than men. It's just that, in the past, they have lacked confidence or opportunity to stray. Like men, women are finding that power is a potent aphrodisiac, and they are giving in to the thrill of illicit lunchtime assignations and the sheer excitement that accompanies their transgression. Nor do they feel any more guilty or ashamed about it than a man would. Joris Lammers of Tilburg University in the Netherlands, who conducted an anonymous survey of more than 1,500 readers of a business magazine, found being powerful makes women more prone to be unfaithful. He questioned people, from top corporate executives to ordinary employees, about whether they had had affairs. They were asked how powerful they thought they were and quizzed on other factors including their feelings of confidence, and what they thought their risk of being caught was. The results showed a link between power and infidelity, regardless of gender. "The strongest predictors are not moral belief, but power and opportunity," Lammers said. "Power can undermine your morality and increase your risk-taking, and the effect of power on women is just as strong as on men." Source: ANI Image Source: Daily Telegraph Published May 24 2011

  10. Non political I promise. By Chai Hung Yin FOR hours daily, she was transfixed by the computer screen, watching steamy love scenes play out in front of her The 32-year-old Singaporean engineer was aware that she was hooked on pornography and tried to stop. But she was unsuccessful and became compulsive towards porn when her marriage hit the rocks. She is one of a handful of women suffering from porn addiction, whom senior consultant psychiatrist Associate Professor Munidasa Winslow has seen in the last three years. On why women turn to porn, Prof Winslow said: "Porn is easier - you don't need to pay attention to being nice to each other. And you can do it anytime, anywhere. "Also, it gives them a thrill and acts as a stress reliever." Prof Winslow, who is now in private practice, previously headed the Addiction Medicine Department at the Institute of Mental Health (IMH). He was also director of the Community Addictions Management Programme at IMH, providing professional case management in the treatment of addictions. Internet While not many women here are coming clean about their porn addiction, it is a different story elsewhere. Last week, The Guardian newspaper reported that more women in the UK are admitting that they are hooked on Internet pornography. When she went through a rough patch in her relationship with her husband, porn became an easy escape. The report quoted Mr Jason Dean, the founder of the main porn counselling service in the UK, Quit Porn Addiction, as saying that about one in three clients are women struggling with watching porn. In the case of the Singaporean woman, her interest in porn "started even before the Internet", she told The New Paper in an e-mail interview. Her friend in Australia had sent her a porn magazine seven or eight years ago. By the time she was done flipping through it, her interest was piqued. Soon, she began desiring more porn and went onto the Internet for more of such fixes. And as Internet usage became more prevalent, it became much easier and faster for her to get porn online, she added. When she later went through a rough patch in her relationship with her husband, porn became an easy escape. "I see it as harmless" She felt that her husband was not paying enough attention to her, and she was angry. The more her husband ignored her, the more she wanted to watch porn. She soon got hooked. For the next two to three years, she spent hours daily watching porn. She kept going back for more porn "because it's fun, and I see it as harmless". "Also, in porn, there are things you don't do in real life, so it's useful for fantasy," she added. She admitted that for a few years, she needed porn daily, and she was spending more and more time on it. Ironically, after viewing porn, she said it enhanced her marriage and her relationship with her husband as "it gave me ideas". She said she gained tips, ideas and inspiration for a better sexual relationship with her husband. When her relationship improved with the help of marital counselling, the hours she spent on porn have also reduced. Now she is still not totally off porn, but she uses it less often and is no longer compulsive towards it, she said. Compulsive Prof Winslow said a person is considered addicted to porn when he or she becomes compulsive; the person tries to stop but is unsuccessful and suffers from withdrawal symptoms such as not being able to think properly. People who are addicted to porn are afraid of real relationships, and are afraid of getting hurt. The person also spends more and more time looking for sources of porn and ways to avoid being detected, he added. He said: "They don't go dating. Their only sexual context is online... They tend to hide away and are afraid of real relationships - they are afraid of getting hurt. Furthermore, there are many ways how addiction to porn could manifest itself. Some could turn to acting out the porn in other types of sex such as phone sex and cybersex, Prof Winslow added. Those who need help with porn addiction could call the helpline at 6-RECOVER (6732 6837) for all addictions. The helpline is administered by the National Addictions Management Service located at IMH. Alternatively, you could call Prof Winslow's clinic, Promises, at 6397 7309 during working hours. UK woman turns to porn when feeling anxious IT WAS an ordinary weekday morning when Caroline first noticed how much pornography was taking over her life. With 15 minutes to go before she was due to leave for a job interview, she opened up her laptop to print an extra copy of her CV and there, on screen, was a grab she'd saved from a pornographic website. "I remember the feeling of being sucked in, really wanting that two-minute fix, that numbness I got when I used porn," Caroline was quoted as saying by The Guardian, a UK newspaper. The paper reported on how more women there admit to being addicted to Internet porn. Said Caroline: "I was stressed out and I risked being late for my interview, but I pressed play anyway and fast-forwarded it to the bit I wanted. It took two minutes." Relief But the relief was to be short-lived. She said: "Afterwards, I just hated myself for giving in and getting off on images that treated women like pieces of meat. But I kept going back." Caroline, a 21-year-old English graduate, has just finished seeing a sex addiction therapist to help get her porn habit under control. She started watching porn out of curiosity in her mid-teens, when it became available over the Internet, then she and her mates used it as a graphic form of sex education. Addiction to porn was like 'a constant battle between one's sexual urges and self-control': porn addict. She saw nothing wrong with it, particularly as she was raised in a generation of girls for whom it was seen as hip and liberated to enjoy watching sex. Then, as she entered a depressed job market after university, it became a form of escape, a default she turned to whenever she felt anxious or bored. She said: "I'd be stuck at home in front of my laptop on my own all day. I'd wake up with all these ideas for the day - and end up surfing for porn, trying to distract myself, eating and then going back for more porn. "No one would ever have known. But I didn't get much done. It was like a constant battle between my sexual urges and my self-control. "I'd think to myself, 'It's not doing any harm.' But then I started to loathe myself for giving in and wasting so much time on it." Caroline is not alone. A 19-year-old college student reportedly wrote: "It started seriously when I was about 14. I stumbled across some pictures while doing homework. "I learnt all the ways round the parental controls, meticulously deleted my activities on the history and deleted the search engine entries every time." 'Women tend to feel more guilty' CASES of women here being addicted to porn are rare. The New Paper contacted 12 psychiatrists and counsellors, and only Associate Professor Munidasa Winslow has come across such cases. But these women are not just addicted to porn. Some have underlying issues with alcohol or their love life, such as the Singaporean engineer. Prof Winslow said she had gone for marital counselling, during which her porn addiction came out. Women may find their body saying 'yes', even though their mind may be saying 'no' - and that can be upsetting: psychotherapist. Mr John Tan, 50, the executive director of Children-At-Risk Empowerment Association (CARE Singapore), said porn addiction tends to be more common among men because they are more visually stimulated. Dr Simon Siew, a psychiatrist, said he has seen about 10 to 20 male porn addicts in the last two years. For women, it's the fantasy that fascinates, like how "women love to read romance novels like Mills and Boon", said Mr Tan. Prof Winslow said: "Women porn addicts tend to feel a lot more guilty than men, but they do better as women tend to open up more to psychotherapy than men. "And they do realise that they are acting out because of other factors and not purely because of sex." Psychotherapist Phillip Hodson of The British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy was reported in The Guardian newspaper as saying that women who become regular users can suffer depression and low self-esteem. Conflicting emotions It is because it can be hard to reconcile their enjoyment of porn with their intellectual dislike of seeing women used as sex objects, said Mr Hodson. "Porn has an instant effect on the human body and mind and the psyche, even if you disapprove of what you are seeing... "So women may find their body is saying yes, even though their mind may be saying no - and that can be upsetting."
  11. Where are they hiding? Feb 21, 2011 THE Government will look at ways to help single men and women find partners, in a bid to tackle the problem of falling birth rates. More people are staying single and those who are married are putting off having babies, said Dr Vivian Balakrishnan, Minister for Community Development, Youth and Sports, yesterday. It was announced last month that Singapore's total fertility rate hit a historic low of 1.16 last year. He did not provide details of the help that would be given to singles, but said the issue would be a major area of focus when Parliament meets next week to debate the details of the Budget. 'We know the vast majority of people do want to get married; we need to help them find the right partner and also see what other needs they feel need to be addressed so they can settle down early and start a family,' he said at the sidelines of a community event at Senja-Cashew community club. He noted that the total fertility rate of married couples is two and that is 'healthy'. 'This means if a couple get married, they usually on average will have around two children, which is very healthy and in fact is not very different from Nordic countries,' he said. The Nordic region includes countries like Finland, Norway and Sweden. The Government does not plan to offer any more baby incentives at this point. 'The package was just enhanced in 2008. The recession had an impact on the total fertility rate. We're still evaluating the impact of the current measures, so there are no announcements to be made this time round,' he said. Singles welcome the help to settle down. Operations officer Daniel Chan, 35, said: 'It's quite expensive to join dating agencies' events, so if the Government can help make them cheaper, that would help.' Said Ms Elle Ho, 29, who works in the finance industry and has joined three dating agencies: 'It would be good if the Government can bring together people with common interests like the arts, and subsidise the classes.' The increase in singles is sharpest among women aged between 25 and 29, with the proportion climbing from 45.5 per cent in 2000 to 62 per cent last year. According to private matchmaking agencies, not only do singles here have very high expectations, but another problem is that the same group of people are signing up with the various dating agencies. Ms Ada Wong, 32, co-founder of The Dating Loft, said: 'There is no lack of events and activities, with events almost every other week. But we see the same people all the time, so we wonder where the rest of the people are.' The Government set up the Social Development Unit in 1984 to promote marriages among graduate singles, and formed the Social Development Services a year later for non-graduate singles. The two units were merged in 2009 and renamed the Social Development Network to offer a one-stop centre for dating information, relationship courses and services. Straits Times
  12. Link Cleopatra, Cixi wrong choice as iconic women MEDIACORP is currently promoting its Singapore Women's Month through regular television and radio spots. The four iconic women it has chosen to front the promotion include Queen Cleopatra of Egypt and Empress Dowager Cixi of China (Mother Teresa and US aviation pioneer Amelia Earhart are the other two). To state that Cleopatra saved Egypt with her beauty is as sexist as it is absurd. One might just as well say that Pocahontas saved the American Indians with her naivete. Cleopatra indeed seduced Julius Caesar with her feminine charms but in her historic role, she was proven more a political player with obvious self-advancing motives than a self-sacrificing saviour of her kingdom. After Caesar's assassination, her charms were next applied on Mark Antony whom she dropped just as quickly when fate instead favoured Octavian. Ancient Egypt thus became a Roman province and she ended the line of pharaohs when she finally sought the company of an asp. More ludicrous is the assertion that Cixi ruled China with her strength (and wisdom in the Chinese spots). Even after one discounts her commonly perceived traits of cruelty, selfishness, corruption and debauchery, Cixi's rule did little to advance the imperial fate of China. Endowed with an 'arsenic' will to stay in power, Cixi schemed extensively to be the de facto force in the Qing court, out-manoeuvring ministers, princes and even emperors. Her penchant for luxury had her building lavish palaces at a time when China was on the brink of bankruptcy and the population was living in abject poverty. She actively squashed all manner of Western reforms when they were most needed, and with little grasp of the gravity of China's gross inadequacy during the colonial era, she even threw in her weight behind the ill-fated Boxer Rebellion, to drastic consequences. Having pulverised all prospects of restoration for the Qing, she departed with just a tot (the toddler Puyi) in station, setting the scene for the final stage of dynastic destruction that would let loose decades of civil strife and suffering in China. Iconic these women may be, but I believe we have others in human history to select from for better representation. The sentiments may be right but the facts and presentation are plainly wrong. 16. M'sian police analysing video of nude women dancing ANN - Friday, February 11Send IM Story Print Kota Kinabalu (The Star/ANN) - Police in the Malaysian state of Sabah are continuing their analysis of a video showing a group of women stripping and dancing in the nude amid speculation that the two-minute clip was shot somewhere in the state. State Police Commissioner Datuk Hamza Taib said that there was no evidence to show that the video in which the nude women were seen dancing in front of an audience, was taken in Sabah. "All we can gather from the video so far was that the whole thing took place in a shack during the day. "It could have been in Sabah or even in a neighbouring country," he said, adding that police were also trying to identify the individuals in the video. Hamza said state police had sent a copy of the video to the forensics unit for a detailed analysis. Reports of the video clip appeared in a local newspaper here several weeks ago amid claims that it could have been shot in Sabah as the accompanying soundtrack was a Kadazandusun song. Hamza explained that the song could have been added during the editing process. He said police were investigating the matter under Section 294 of the Penal Code for lewd activity in a public place. Video must take so long to analyze? Analyze wif toilet/tissue paper in hand?

  18. Health @ AsiaOne http://www.asiaone.com/Health/News/Story/A...113-257964.html More than half of Korean women have athlete's foot Women accuse men of having smelly feet all year long. But during the cold season, it is possible that they are the smellier ones. -The Korea Herald/ANN Thu, Jan 13, 2011 The Korea Herald/Asia News Network By Park Min-young Many women hesitate when ushered into a room with floor-seating instead of to a table when having dinner at a Korean restaurant, especially in the winter. Sure, it could be because they are wearing skirts that are too short or boots that are too much trouble to take off and put back on. But frankly speaking, those might not be the only reasons. "I never say it out loud, but I am worried that my feet might smell or my toes might have bored holes into the stockings. Especially when I have been wearing boots all day long, because I don't know what might have happened inside them," said a 25-year-old office worker who asked to remain anonymous. Women accuse men of having smelly feet all year long. But during the cold season, well, it is possible that they are the smellier ones. According to a 2009 survey by Novartis Korea of 1,000 men and women aged 18 to 54 who live in Korea's four metropolitan cities, 51.5 percent of the women said that they have experienced foot fungus in the winter. Not a surprise, knowing how they fussily pamper their precious feet in the summer but often completely forget about them as soon as they disappear from sight, tucked deep inside a pair of boots. For all who feel guilty, here are some basic steps to make your feet soft and odorless again. #1: Wash them smartly Your feet could easily get sweaty and callused in the winter because they are stuck inside extra warm shoes for most of the day. Such shoes, including boots, are most likely made of non-breathable materials that trap heat and moisture which can cause calluses that lead to dermatitis like athlete's foot and bad odor. Some recklessly try to scrape the calluses off with something sharp, like a knife or a paper cutter. This can be even more dangerous than it sounds because doing so could cut off some of the healthy skin and infect that too. The smart way to remove calluses is to soak your feet in warm water for a while, rub them with a soft towel or brush, wash them with soap and dry them completely. If water remains on the feet, it could be another cause for bad odor. "It is okay to use foot exfoliating tools or cream if the calluses are too thick, but you should avoid using too much force to scrape them off especially when your feet are wet. Not everyone needs to get rid of calluses and excessive exfoliation could irritate the skin even more," said Park Ji-young, dermatologist at ArumdaunNara Dermatology Cosmetic Surgical Center. After cleansing your feet thoroughly, slather on foot lotion or cream that contains callus softeners. Doctors say that moisturizers are always good for the feet. If your feet still feel too dry and chapped, cover them up with plastic wrap or gauze for the night and you will find them much softer in the morning. If time and money permits, visiting a nearby foot massage center or a pedicure shop would be refreshing. Your feet deserve a full-course treatment from scrubs and massages to shiny pedicures from time to time, even in the winter. If you think you have a fungal infection, make sure you see a podiatrist. Young women are often too ashamed to admit that they have foot problems and refuse to go see a doctor. But doctors warn that it may bring on secondary infections or other serious complications if not treated soon enough. "Athlete's foot sometimes gets naturally cured when the season changes, but that is only if the condition is not too bad. In worse conditions, the germs can move on to fingernails and toenails. Then the treatment gets more complicated and it can spread to other people as well," said Park. "High humidity is a major cause of athlete's foot. Winter is a better season to treat the problem than summer because it is relatively drier. But even if you get cured for now it does not mean that you are cured for good. It requires continuous care."

  20. Has anyone encounter a spectacled women tailing you to your car in Funan Center carpark, then acts like she is so desperate and asks you for money (by selling you tissue paper). Her reasons are husband is unemployed and she needs to feed her kids. I suspect she is trying to get sympathy from lone driver and get more money. Why wouldn't she sell her tissue paper else where but in a deserted carpark?
