  1. The Last Of The Woodlands Centre. A Tribute Short Film to Singapore's Iconic Location In The North. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=79B5mMfDLfs&t=4s
  2. Hi does anyone know of any good glass/ceramic coater at woodlands?
  3. Lately been noticing jam there. Seems many counters not opened. Affects those returning to sg only. Other way clear.
  4. Me & wif went JB on sat for shopping [clothings, grocery, household items]. On way back at the Woodlands CP, where ICA check the car boot, the ICA officer asked for the receipt. Informed me total about RM300++, have to pay GST, becos exceed S$50 x 2pax. Handover my passport, diverted to "drive back" to an adjacent zone, park car, follow him to ICA office, senior ICA officer query and informed next time must declare at Red Lane otherwise offence, then the previous ICA officer lead me to the nearby Tax/Duties Office to pay the GST. After deduct the allowance S$50 x 2pax, 7% GST on the balance about S$3.00. Paid with S$10, but they have no change, can pay with Nets but did not bring Nets card, so have to pay S$3.00 with Visa card. About to drive off, when 2 more cars were "invited" to the same zone. Anyone with similar encounter ?
  5. For those who frequent this area to have mookata or shop at Sheng Siong nearby, please avoid parking by the road side (White zig zac or double yellow). Saw LTA officer there many times. Just earlier on, I stopped my car by the side to stretch my legs. I merely paced up and down the stretch of road (10min at most) and when I returned to my vehicle, the bike was parked right before my car. Gone case I thought. The officer was at a distance away. I didn't bother checking with him since he would have issued the summon long ago. It didn't cross my mind that there was no summon ticket! It was only after returning home then I realised that there wasn't any physical ticket. Upon checking my dashcam, I saw the officer looking around in front of my car. Not sure if he was being nice to give me a grace period. My vehicle definitely felt hot to the touch given the long drive prior to stopping. Lesson learnt- let your legs break or find a proper parking lot

  7. Dear all, Wanted to share my experience with Pure Drive located at Harvest at Woodlands. Messaged one of the chaps regarding pricing for a 4 wheel alignment but no reply,so I proceeded to call and ask. Voice on the other line said SGD80, and will take about half an hour to complete. So I went down, since I am around that area that day. When I was there, the technician ramped up my car, did some checks, and when my car was up there, he the proceeded to tell me that he has to 'charge extra SGD40 because I requested to change caster. SGD80 is adjustment for toe only'. Also claimed that his price is one of the lowest around, standard pricing. Since I was there and was out of touch with alignment prices (last alignment was done 3 years ago), I agreed. Workmanship was ok (I mean, what do you expect, it's a standard Hunter machine - a dummy can operate that user-friendly interface). However technician had a lot to say about how difficult it might be to get an exact alignment - because the 'alignment bushing might be worn'. In the end technician managed to adjust the three STANDARD alignment settings - took about an hour from start to finish. After alignment done, out of curiosity I googled alignment prices, and found Kenny's number. I then remembered that Kenny was the expert in alignment around here, and HE was the one who did my alignment 3 years back. But prices posted online were around SGD 50 to 80. I then sms-ed Kenny to just enquire how much he charges for 4 wheel alignment. Reply came back 5 mins later: SGD80. So in summary folks: Do your research BEFORE you commit to any workshop. When it comes to alignment, very hard to beat Kenny's price (and expertise).

  13. Zarina Jaffar added 3 new photos withMuhammad Shadiqin Mohamad Noor and7 others. 22 hours ago Suhaime Roa is a prolific song writer and singers back in the 80's. He is visually handicap and is a father of 4 children. For the past few years he has been busking at CWP and Civic centre. Woodlands. He has NAC license for it. Sometimes back he has been harassed by Edmund Chong Kong Lum from Woodlands MRT. This idiotic of a guy try to exert his authority by ordering Suhaime to move away from the usual place he used to play. Suhaime would comply. If not he would call the police. This harrassment got so bad that a police report has been lodged against him but it still continued. I will copy and paste the convoy I had with his wife. By the way when he played its not even on SMRT Ground. following are her PM's "We've been tolerating this far too much. We did go to MPs to seek advice n help. As a responsible man, Suhaime just want to earn a living by trading his talent for the family. Insyaallah." TODAY AFTER I LEFT THE STATION, HIS WIFE PM AGAIN "He came again. Demand to see Suhaime's busking license. He want to make report to NAC tomorrow. We refused to give. Told him that he got no right to see as we are not in his ground. He said he will call the police. We told him to go ahead..." "He call Transcom Policeman. They also agree that it's not MRT ground." "Just now, he's not happy when Transcom Police refuse to give Suhaime's particulars because the policemen said that Suhaime is not MRT ground. He call NPC. NPC came n told him the same thing. Our friend still not happy:, when the Transcom Policemen refused to give Suhaime's particulars to him, he took down the Policemen's particulars? What was he up to? Is he trying to manipulate with the Police too? "Even the CWP staff talk to him. He wants to show his power" UNQUOTE In one of the pictures you would see he very the kurang ajar put a barrier in front of Suhaime while the other picture is he standing threateningly. This has been going on for 2-3 years by the same person. Siti Aisah Sawie please feel free to share more. We are all here for you and Suhaime Roa Ok Guys please help to stop this! Together we have a duty to make a difference to someone in need of us now!
  14. For all the bros and sis that live in the northern part of Singapore. This thread to share news and happenings around our area. New places to go, new food to eat, new corners to explore. If you are closer to KSL than Takashimaya, you are technically in the North.
  15. Hey guys!!! Check this out!!! Fap fap fap in libarary!!!!! Dear The Real Singapore, I want to share with your readers of a video I took at Woodlands Library. This China guy is watching pornographic materials on his phone in the library and I was shocked that he started touching himself right in front of us. I also caught him throwing glancing at my girlfriend while 'pleasuring' himself. Whenever he stares at my girlfriend he will touch himself faster. I am shocked and totally apalled by this sort of public indecency behaviour. Isn't it illegal to do this kind of thing in public? I am not saying that guys shouldn't PCC but I don't think they should PCC in a public library while watching pornographic material so openly and worse keeps staring at my girlfriend while doing that. He was touching himself for more than 5 minutes and he only stop when I went to confront of him of what he is doing and ask him to stop. The Chinese national does not seem to understand what I was saying at first because he does not seems to understand English but understood what I said when I started scolding him in mandarin. He then quickly left the library without saying anything. Even though he is not aggressive and rude, I think such behaviours should not be accepted in public. This is the first time in my entire life that I have seen someone doing something like that in public. I have recorded a short 10 second clip of what he is doing below. What do your readers think? < Video link: http://vimeo.com/108968525 > http://therealsingapore.com/content/video-dear-trs-i-saw-prc-guy-pleasuring-himself-woodlands-library http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/eat-drink-man-woman-16/prc-masturbates-woodlands-library-4846036-4.html http://vimeo.com/m/108968525

  18. I feel abit violated liao. Used to swim there after my occasional JB trips. Any bros swim @ Woodlands Swimming Pool? http://singaporeseen.stomp.com.sg/singaporeseen/this-urban-jungle/what-are-these-weird-holes-doing-in-cubicles-of-the-mens-toilet-at-woodlands What are these weird holes doing in cubicles of the men's toilet at Woodlands Swimming Complex? A regular swimmer was worried when he spotted holes on the walls of the cubicles of Woodlands Swimming Complex, which looked like they have been drilled in by someone. After a swim session just last Saturday (Jul 12), Stomper Richard noticed a hole on the wall of the showering cubicles of the men's toilet . Upon closer look, he realised three of the cubicles had the same hole and that one could peek through them. He wrote: "I am a regular swimmer in Woodlands Swimming Complex and my son also attends swimming lessons regularly in the same pool. There are times he will attend the lessons by himself because we are staying opposite the swimming complex. "When I was showering in one of the cubicles at the male changing room that is furthest from the exit, I noticed some greyish spots on the cubicle wall. "I took a closer look and realised it is a small hole that one could peek through to the adjacent cubicle. The greyish spots looks like cement that had been used to cover the hole but was dug out again. "The location of the peek hole is purposely positioned at the crotch level and one can only imagine the "uses" for this hole. "I checked the walls of other cubicles and was shocked to discover the other cubicles walls all had similar peek holes. "As a father, how can I let my primary school age son use the shower facilities in the men's toilet with a peace of mind when there are potential sick perverts peeking at their private parts? Our children's modesty is at stake."

Involved party may PM me for video of higher resolution. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vLOhojt78Vo&feature=youtu.be
  20. A spike barrier is a security control measure to prevent perpetrators from using vehicles to dash through the Checkpoint. It can cause severe damage even to heavy vehicles. According to the Stomper, her friend was then told to file a claim against the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA). However, no assistance was given to the driver nor was he advised on how to proceed. Hence, he is now at a loss as to what to do. Jen, a Claims Officer, said her friend had related the incident to her. She told Stomp: "My friend was exiting Woodlands Checkpoint on Feb 20. Suddenly, the 'Cat Crawler' was deployed without any reason and caused damage to his vehicle. "He was at the ICA office for few hours after that, and all he got was his vehicle towed away and being told to make a claim against ICA. "But there was no indication of who to approach and how the procedure to make a claim should be like. No one was there to advise him. "We call up ICA and referred to a Woodlands Checkpoint officer, who could not even give us a clear direction. She replied that she was not sure as well." Jen added that they are still waiting for ICA's response and as such, the car is still damaged.
