  1. Alright folks, wadda ya say, time for a forum game! It's word association. The rules: Only 1 word is allowed per post. Your word must be directly related in an explainable way to the word in the post before yours. You may not post the same word, or a plural of the post before yours. Example: Person A: "Chew" Person B: "Munch" Person C: "Snack" Person D: "Time" Let's begin: Leftovers

Can't think of any nice words for this beast 畜生. http://www.tnp.sg/news/world-news/man-kills-daughter-3-months-after-winning-custody MAN KILLS DAUGHTER 3 MONTHS AFTER WINNING CUSTODY 6563 May 17, 2015 5:08pm He was happy to win custody of his four-year-old daughter. But three months later, Alexa-Marie Quinn was dead. It turned out her father Carl Wheatley, 31, had savagely beaten her to death. Other shocking details also emerged: Wheatley had wanted her so he would get more money. Earlier, the supermarket worker had bragged to a colleague about the increased benefits he would get if he won custody over one of his four children, such as a two-bedroom house and £1,700 ($3,530). He broke her teeth, then searched for glue When police discovered the girl's body on March 12 last year, Alexa-Marie was riddled with 66 different injuries. They concluded she had died from extreme blunt-force trauma. Wheatley, from Hertfordshire in southern England, had called the police on the morning of the fatal attack, after Alex-Marie was dead for several hours. The court heard he tried to conceal Alexa-Marie's injuries, going on the Internet to search on "how to reduce swelling" and "what glue can I use to put teeth back in". He pleaded guilty to manslaughter but denied murdering his daughter. Sadistic attack While psychiatrists said that Wheatley suffered from several mental health disorders, the judge described Wheatley's "final and fatal" attack on Alexa-Marie as "relentless and sadistic and to a horrifying degree". Wheatley was sentenced to life imprisonment and will only be considered for release after 21 years. - See more at: http://www.tnp.sg/news/world-news/man-kills-daughter-3-months-after-winning-custody#sthash.N4AXscxj.dpuf

  14. I realised that my thread and post have vanished overnight after a visit from the moderator and I do realise that the earlier thread comes across as being too personal towards sabbie. I am hardly surprised why sabbie goes scot free with his degrading remarks towards women and constant profanities, this is afterall, a male dominated forum. Moderators, I'm sure you're doing a great job keeping this community alive. My apologies for stepping across the guidelines *that, i'm guessing because nobody sent me any notification whatsoever regarding the mysterious evaporation of my thread* However, I do hope that in your constant crusade to weed out undesirable activities within the forum, would you be able to be mindful towards comments, remarks, threads and posts which degrades womenfolk in general? Think about how a female protagonist will feel if a male antagonist goes about insulting women, much to the amusement of fellow male deuteragonists and the tritagonists, who camp by the sidelines further advocating these atrocities? This female could jolly well be your granny, spouse, daughter or any women who holds pivotal places within the depths of your hearts. To the rest of the forum users, please accept my apologies if my earlier thread caused any offence or distress. To sabbie, I'm not sorry to say i'm totally unapologetic on my take towards you. What comes around goes around. Please learn to respect yourself and to respect women. Like i've shared before, society, being codified by man, decrees that woman is inferior; she can do away with this inferiority only by neutralising the male's superiority. Good day to all of you !

  18. She shud convert to becoming a citizen leh if she doesn't want to be hurt. If love Sinb so much, prove it. Some more got sacred privilege to vote some more. ST Forum May 7, 2011 PR who loves Singapore laments harsh words at rallies ALTHOUGH I am part Japanese, I was raised and educated in Singapore. I went through the full examination treadmill at the Primary School Leaving Examination, and O- and A-levels. After graduating from a local university in 2009, I decided to build my career in Singapore with an advertising conglomerate. Although I still hold a Japanese passport, Singapore is my second home. Whenever I am overseas, I suffer withdrawal symptoms and yearn for my favourite hawker staples: bubor cha cha and nasi lemak. I am writing in because I am saddened by some speeches at election rallies which have railed unremittingly against foreigners. I appeal to Singaporeans to remember permanent residents like me who have grown to love Singapore as a second home, living and working with Singaporean friends and fellow workers. Many even have Singaporean spouses and children. I couldn't agree more that Singaporean interests must come first. Jobs and competition for promotions are real and pertinent issues. At the same time, I am not certain that inciting division and ill feeling towards any one segment of society is good for peace and progress. History has shown that progressive leaders ushered national progress by opening up their country's economy and embracing diversity. Rather than distance foreigners living in Singapore, many of whom have grown to love Singapore as a second home, why not work together to lift Singapore to even greater heights? Mariko Tania Kimura (Miss)
  19. MM Lee: "In the heat and dust of this election, remember, do not risk your assets, property values, job opportunities." Now lets try to substitute the words 'your' with 'my'. See what happens: MM Lee: "In the heat and dust of this election, remember, do not risk my assets, property values, job opportunities." I wonder which is correct? Must be the first one la

  21. BUCHAREST : Former Romanian diplomat Silviu Ionescu is free to travel outside the capital, Bucharest. A Romanian court accepted his appeal to do so on Thursday. Ionescu had told court on Wednesday that he needed to travel as he is now a business consultant. He also said that he would need money as the sole breadwinner providing for his family. The judge agreed with this. Ionescu also said that if the court eventually makes him pay damages he would need money to do so. He had said earlier that he had no intention of leaving the country as there is an international arrest warrant issued in his name. The former diplomat faces charges of homicide, causing physical injuries and making false statements, arising from two hit-and-run accidents in Singapore in December 2009. His next court date is on March 9. - CNA/al

  23. Years and years of continued education has allowed me to be able to provide for myself a decent income and the ability to set aside $90 monthly for season parking charges. However as a side effect of great education in Singapore, I am a very busy person with many issues on my mind all the time. Protection of the earth, recycling, proper childcare and world peace amongst them, though not in any order of major importance. In light of this, I have came to greatly appreciate HDB's automated SMS notifications on season parking renewal. Within the past 8 months of my car ownership I have received at least 5 reminders to renew my season parking. My experience with the automated SMS notification system has always been pleasant, if not delightful; it has provided timely and accurate reminders with a comfortable time buffer for me to schedule a visit to the nearest AXS station to make payment and I've always renewed my season parking charges on time. However, in the previous month I did not receive such a reminder and due to a reliance on such a great automated notification system, I had assumed that my season parking was renewed during one of my earlier visits to the AXS station during the month. You could imagine the amount of shock and trauma that I received upon receiving a $50 fine earlier today before making my way to work. This shock and trauma later left me in a state of denial, evident in my early morning rushed trip to the AXS station to make verification on my previous payment which however, does not exist due to the failure of the automated SMS notification system. My state of denial persisted as I rushed to a SAM machine to verify that I did not make renewal of my season parking for the month of October. Finally my state of denial turned into a state of acceptance and I renewed my season parking charges on the spot. In this far I am a man of great integrity and commands great respect amongst my peers. Any mistakes I have made in the past are of carelessness and or related or due to some amount of oversight. You can rest assured that this matter is an issue of an honest mistake that no amount of vigilance could prevent. I am aware that HDB employs world class professionals to ensure smooth operations within their car parks which will translate into a better transport system for everybody. Rest assured that no attempt was made to cheat the system and this mistake has a probability to only happen once every 50 years. Considerable measures will be taken on my part to ensure that such a situation would never re-occur. I shall review applying for timely GIRO deductions for future season parking charges. My previous experience with GIRO deductions wasn't pleasant due to a major over-charge on my monthly teleco bill. As a result I tend to avoid GIRO deductions unless really necessary. Alternatively I might attempt to purchase season parking for the entire year. However that method would leave me prone to the culture of not paying for season parking in the coming months. Regardless of the final outcome I can assure you that I take this matter seriously and will step up the amount of vigilance and man effort needed to avoid a repeat of this oversight. An age old idom says: ONE good turn deserves another, even if it takes 65 years to repay the favour. I hope to be able to return the favour to you one way or another if you could assist to waiver this parking charge in light that this is my first offence and I have already made payment for season parking for the full month of October. I have taken the effort to attach a picture of a cute cat playing world of warcraft because everybody likes cats, cats are adorable. >> what else could i add? suggestions pls!
