Hi all gurus. Summary of my case: Involve in an accident in 2017 and paid up for my own repair first although I am claiming the other party. 2 years on, the Workshop tells me that there is no update on the claim and they will keep my 2k deposit until the other party insurance get back to me. A more detail write-up I was being hit by another car (supposingly rented) in June 2017. So based on my friend's father advise, I went to a Workshop in Woodlands Road to make the claim against the other party. I am pretty inexperience in this area so I just follow the advice by the Workshop Boss. He told me that he is an ex-SPF and Hwa Chong grad or something, and all his friends are lawyer etc. So he knows the stuff and will handle it for me. Long story short, he mentioned that it is a 50-50 case. In fact the chances of me claiming successfully is not high according to him. So he requested that I pay him for my own car damage upfront (about $2k) and if the claim is successful, he will refund me the 2k. In mid 2018, the other party have claimed my insurance. As for my claim against the other party, the workshop mentioned that there is no update. Till date, they are still holding on to my 2k. So I asked the Workshop Boss to email the other party insurance company and get back to me on the status but he refuses and chided me for being ungrateful because he is actually helping me in a 50-50 case. I explained to him that I am asking him to do so only because I am unable to do so. I have tried getting an update from the other party insurance but they ask me to go through my authorised workshop. So my question is Is there any way I can get an update on my claim status against the other party without the Workshop? Is it possible that the Workshop have forgotten to claim the other party it is too late to claim now? Thanks all. I am really at a lost now on what to do because the Workshop refuses to assist me yet the other party insurance request that I follow-up with my authorised workshop directly.

Hi, Anyone has good workshop to recommended for wheel bearings replacement? I prefer a ws that is equiped with a hydraulic press and the mechanic needs to be skillful in changing wheel bearings. Hi all, Tried searching but can't get a comprehensive ans on this. Only managed to get bits and pieces of info here and there. I'm looking at getting a new E Class, not sure E200 or E250. Definitely PI as i find the sales service at CnC not that great and it's too overpriced compared to buying from PI. I have bought from PI before but only jap cars, never continental. I understand the general feedback from most people is that conti cars run on more electronics so there's a higher tendency for conti cars to have abit of electronic issues/replacements that need to be done from time to time even though Merc is supposed to be the best in terms of reliability for conti cars. So i have a few questions as follows: 1. Which workshop has one of the best equipment, experience in servicing Merc cars? Can they handle it if there are real serious issues or under what situations can i only turn to CnC for their help? (i hear names like MBM, Auto Spritz, Star Black etc) 2. If i turn to CnC, is the admin fee still $500 or has this changed? What other docs would i need? 3. Is the warranty and the workshop basically the same? Which warranty coverage is generally the most reasonable? 4. I'm not looking to pay the cheapest but just want to pay reasonable pricing to service the Merc. Which workshop would be best? Lastly, is the E250 worth getting over the E200? Seems like from Merc SG website, the specs look rather similar. Thx all

i call all the famous ones and the freelancers one, all of them will not remove the tyre from the rim to respray. neither will they remove the calipers to spray. i was wondering if anyone has a contact to a professional who can spray paint in that manner.

Hi All, As most cars here need to have their car brake fluid replace every 2-3 yrs (fluid absorbs moisture and lose braking efficiency) and properly bleed the system (avoid air pockets), let us all contribute some places to go and estimated costs. Brake system is important and safety aspect even more so due to high humidity here in Singapore. Some drivers even change brake fluid every year. Well done guys! With more info, so hoping more drivers will inclined to maintain their brake system whichever part of the island you're at. Cars with ABS system need to be bleed by vacuum method and those without ABS may simply use the leg pump method. Let's contribute : 1) Stamf Tyres = bleed by vacuum method, uses Caltex DOT4 , est $40 (Feb 2011) 2) Yap Bro = by vacuum method, uses Indemitsu DOT 4, est $45-$50 (Feb 2011). 3) 4)

Hi All, accidently scratch my car, now need to respray portion of it might have some knocking to do. Also thinking to touch part other area that have some minor scratches. Fifty-three more charges were piled on a car workshop owner on Wednesday over an alleged road accident scam, bringing the total number he faces to 81. Sollihin Anhar, 41, allegedly schemed with others to cheat insurance companies into processing claims for staged accidents between 2011 and last year allegedly defrauding insurance companies such as Liberty, SHC, Tokio Marine, China Taiping, AXA and NTUC. He is listed as a co-director of Partners Automotive, a car repair company that was registered in July 2012, according to Accounting & Corporate Regulatory Authority records. Deputy Public Prosecutor Hon Yi said the total amount involved in all the charges is about $729,000. The total amount disbursed by insurance companies is about $79,000. Need advise on this issue, Presently driving a 2010 Toyota Wish, 5 months ago, the CEL came on with the VSC icon flashing and turn off. So I went to change both the O2 sensor and was ok for the next few mths. But recently, the same thing happen again, after a couple of days, the CEL came on with the VSC icon flashing and turn off. It came on and off after a few days. Anybody have any idea what might be this issue?

Hi all, I do not know where to post this but can anyone advise me on a reliable VW workshop in Singapore for servicing other than authorised agent? I have a used 2010 Passat CC and thought maybe I should send it for servicing now. How often must the 6 speed DSG gearbox be serviced? Will be good if anyone can share any good parts/brands such as engine oil, filters, etc. for the servicing.

Teutonic Technologies Allan Wan added 4 new photos. 8 hrs · Hi everybody, I'm known mostly as Allan to my friends or Mr Wan to my students. I'm currently caught in a situation where I need all of your help. My car SGQ8851K grey Toyota Estima was sent to a workshop called Teutonic Technologies back in late Dec 2017 but has gone missing since 24 Jan 2018. The personnel at the workshop can no longer be contacted. I've tried all sorts of mean to get any information including filing through Small Claims Tribunal, filing a police report (attached for reference) and seeking help through LTA. LTA had kindly classified my car as "missing" on 2 Mar 2018, making it illegal to be driven on the road. From the LTA fine I've received in the letterbox, my car was last spotted driving through a ERP gantry (Havelock Road/Clemenceau Ave) on 1 Feb at 8.48am without enough cashcard value (attached for reference) and a further police report was filed. There has been no progress since. Hence, I'd like to appeal to all of you to share this information to all your friends in Facebook. My buddy car got damaged by the workshop A. It got reported to police, police advice him to go to another workshop for the repair. However, now workshop A doesnt want to pay the bill even though they promise him. The worst thing is he nv ask for private settlement signing. But he got audio recording with ID mentioning the workshop etc.etc Need advice
